A bit of cool history

It took a lot of smart people to make the Net what it is today. Here's a little bit of history for you:

1958:
The U.S. government put together a company that researched the best way to create the Internet.

Mid-1960s:
The Internet is used by university and government computers to share research information.

1976:
Queen Elizabeth II sends the first royal email. I wonder who received that one!

1991:
Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist, launches the very first Web site. The name WWW (World Wide Web) is born!
