Kit and Pup are trying to make a chair from pieces of wood, but Pup's ability to read instructions leaves a lot to be desired. Through their adventures Kit and Pup find out that wood comes from trees, can be made into things and can be painted. In the live action investigation the little scientist looks at different pieces of wood and identifies the biggest, lightest and matching pieces, and in the material world a mini explorer looks out from the crevices of a wooden log.
