The opening sequence begins. A young man appears. He is in his twenties, and has short brown hair. He wears a turquoise t-shirt, a brown vest with big multi-coloured polka dots, a beige jacket, and blue trousers. It’s Mister Maker. He goes to a table full of handicrafts tools such as scissors, rulers, modeling clay, and papers, among others.

A song plays. It says MISTER MAKER
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA

Mr. Maker grabs a pair of scissors and cuts a piece of paper. He draws a window on it an. He picks up multi coloured clay and makes a little sofa. He puts it in front of the window.

The song continues MISTER MAKER
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA
MISTER MAKER
OOH, LA, LA, LA, LA

Mr. Maker builds other things. A cardboard chest of drawers, a table, a lamp, a colourful rack. He shows all his creations. Then, magically they became real. Mr. Makers stands in the middle of the room he created.

The song continues MISTER MAKER
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA
MAKE IT,
MISTER MAKER
OOH, LA, LA, LA

An animation creates the title "Mister Maker" spelled out with colourful letters.

The song continues
MISTER MAKER
MAKE IT,
MISTER MAKER!

Mister Maker washes some things in a washbasin. He wears a pair of yellow rubber gloves.

He says OH HELLO
THERE.
GREAT TO SEE YOU AGAIN.
I'M JUST DOING A BIT OF WASHING
UP TO CLEAN UP SOME OF MY MESSY
STUFF.
I'VE BEEN CLEANING UP MY MIXING
BOWLS, MY PAINT BRUSHES, YEAH,
AND MY... RUBBER CHICKEN?
WHAT'S THAT DOING IN THERE?
WELL, THIS IS JUST TAKING FAR
TOO LONG.
I THINK I NEED TO USE SOME OF
MY SUPER-DUPER BUBBLY WASHING
UP LIQUID.
RIGHT.

He picks up a bottle with a green substance.
[Squirting sound]
He pours the green substance in the washbasin.

He says WOO!
[Bubbling sound]

Bubble come out from the washbasin.

Mr. Maker says I THINK I MIGHT HAVE USED A
BIT TOO MUCH.
[Gurgling]

The bubbles keep flowing out of the washbasin.

He says LOOK AT THESE FANTASTIC
BUBBLES.
BUBBLES!
I LOVE BUBBLES.

A bubble blower appears on his hand. He blows bubbles.

Mr. Maker says WOW!
AND THEY'VE GIVEN ME A GREAT
IDEA.

An icon pops up. It shows a lamp. The lamp icon blows up.

He says TRY BLOWING A BRILLIANT BUBBLE
PICTURE.

A picture showing circular shapes in purple, green and red appears on screen. Each circle is made up of tiny circular shapes.

Mr. Maker says IT'S GREAT FUN TO DO AND
AMAZING.
LET'S MAKE IT!
WE'LL NEED SOME THINGS FROM
THE DOODLE DRAWERS.

He goes to the doodle drawers to pick up the materials he needs.

Mr. Maker says SOME PAPER...
SOME BRIGHTLY COLOURED PAINT...

He picks up purple, red and green paint.

He says SOME GLOOPY PVA GLUE...
A TROMBONE?

He picks a trombone and plays a tune with it.

He says NO, WE DON'T NEED THIS.
BUT IT WAS GOOD FUN.

Mr. Maker opens a drawer and picks up a pitcher.

He says SOME WATER...
AND SOME WASHING-UP LIQUID AND
A STRAW.

Mr. Maker stands behind a table.

He says OH, TO MAKE A BUBBLE PICTURE
LIKE THIS ONE HERE

He shows the purple, green and red circular shapes.

He continues YOU FIRST
NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU PUT
ON AN APRON OR SOME OLD CLOTHES
AS THIS CAN GET A BIT MESSY.
THIS PICTURE HAS THREE COLOURS
IN IT.
SO WE NEED TO MAKE THREE
DIFFERENT COLOURED BUBBLE
MIXTURES.
SO GET YOURSELF A CUP AND PUT
TWO SQUIRTS OF WASHING UP
LIQUID INTO IT.
NOW PUT IN ONE SPLODGE OF
GLOOPY GLUE...
NOW ADD THREE DROPS OF WATER...
AND, FINALLY, THREE DROPS OF
COLOURED PAINT.
[Squirting sound]
THERE WE GO.
NOW WE NEED TO GIVE IT A STIR
WITH A STRAW.

He stirs the mixture.

Mr. Maker says AND WHEN THAT'S ALL MIXED DO
THE SAME FOR THE OTHER TWO
COLOURS.

He picks up the elements and prepares the green mixture.
He says WASHING UP LIQUID, GLUE, WATER,
PAINT.

Now, He prepares the red mixture.

He says WASHING UP LIQUID, GLUE, WATER,
PAINT.

Mr. Maker says NOW YOU'RE READY TO BLOW SOME
BUBBLES WITH YOUR STRAW.
THOUGH WHEN YOU'RE DOING IT
REMEMBER TO BLOW AND NOT SUCK.
THAT'S BLOW AND NOT SUCK.
LET'S DO IT.

Mr. Maker blows bubbles inside the cup.

He says NOW TAKE YOUR WHITE PAPER AND
VERY GENTLY LAY IT ON TOP OF
THE CUP.

He presses down the white paper onto the bubbles coming up from the cup.

Mr. Maker says SO THAT IT MAKES A PRINT.

He turns around the paper, there’s a purple figure on it.

He says LOOK AT THAT.
ISN'T IT FANTASTIC?
LET'S DO ANOTHER ONE.
[Bubbling sound]
[Splat]

He blows more bubbles and makes another figure.
[Bubbling sound]
[Splat]

He turns around the paper, it has four purple figures on it.

Mr. Maker says WOW!
NOW LET'S DO THE SAME IN ANOTHER
COLOUR.
[Bubbling sound]
[Splat]

He blows bubbles in the green cup and prints them on the paper.
[Bubbling sound]
[Splat]
[Bubbling sound]
[Splat]

He turns around the paper. Now, it also has four green circular shapes.

Mr. Maker says OH, FANTASTIC!
ONE MORE COLOUR NOW.

He repeats the same process with the red mixture.

[Bubbling sound]
[Splat]
[Bubbling sound]
[Splat]
[Bubbling sound]
[Splat]

Mr. Maker says WHAT A GREAT BUBBLE PATTERN.
NOW WE JUST NEED TO LEAVE IT
TO DRY.
AND YOU CAN USE YOUR BUBBLE
PAINTINGS FOR ALL SORTS OF
THINGS.
HOW ABOUT BUBBLY WRAPPING PAPER?

A present wrapped with the bubbly paper pops up.

Mr. Maker says OR A BUBBLY BIRTHDAY CARD?

A birthday card made with the bubbly paper pops up.

Mr. Maker says BUBBLES ARE BRILLIANT.
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS ONCE YOU
START BUBBLING YOU CAN'T STOP.

One of the drawers opens up. Bubbles come out of it.
[Bubbling sound]

Mr. Maker says HEY, I DIDN'T MEAN YOU, DOODLE
DRAWERS.
DOODLE DRAWERS!

Now, a rack appears on screen. It has handicrafts tools such as scissors, rulers, and modeling clay, among others. On the upper shelf, there are four coloured shapes: a pink circle, a yellow triangle, a blue square and a red rectangle.

[Snoring]

Mr. Maker says WHO'S THAT SNORING?
OH, IT'S THE SHAPES.
THEY'RE ASLEEP AGAIN.
LET'S WAKE THEM UP.

He picks up a colourful feather duster and rubs it on the shapes.

[Giggling]

They wake up and jump from the shelf.

They say WEE!

Now, the shapes dance as they sing.

The song says I AM A SHAPE
I AM A SHAPE
I AM A CIRCLE
The pink circle appears on screen.

The song continues I AM A TRIANGLE

The yellow triangle appears on screen.

The song continues I AM A SQUARE

The blue square appears on screen.

The song continues I AM A RECTANGLE

The red rectangle appears on screen.

They dance and sing
I AM A SHAPE
I AM A RECTANGLE

The red rectangle is highlighted. Then, an animation with several rectangular shapes appear on screen.

Mister Maker says WHAT PICTURE
ARE THE RECTANGLES GOING TO
MAKE?

The rectangular shapes move around on screen.

Mr. Maker says CAN YOU GUESS?

The rectangles form a horse.

Mr. Maker says IT'S A HORSE.
WELL DONE, RECTANGLE.
TIME TO GET BACK ON THE SHELF.

The shapes jump back to the shelf.
[Giggling]
[Yawning]
[Snoring]
The shapes are asleep again.

Mister Maker appears on screen and says OH, HO,
I JUST LOVE THOSE SHAPES.
THEY'RE BRILLIANT.

A puppet of a bird comes out of a clock. It has yellow feathers and a big beak.

Tocky says TOCKY HERE.
MINUTE MAKE TIME.

Mister Maker says OH HO, IT'S
MINUTE MAKE TIME.
COME ON.

He runs back to the table.

Mr. Maker says HERE'S WHAT WE'RE GOING TO MAKE
TODAY.

He points to a yellow circular shape with a ribbon.

Mr. Maker says A CAKE CASE ROSETTE.
LOOK AT THAT.
VERY NICE, EH?
NOW TO MAKE ONE OF THESE YOU
WILL NEED A SMALL COLOURED CAKE
CASE, A LARGE CAKE CASE, TWO
STRIPS OF TISSUE PAPER, A
CIRCLE AND A SQUARE OF CARD,
SOME SCISSORS, A GLUE STICK AND
A PEN.
NOW DO YOU THINK IT'S POSSIBLE
TO MAKE
THIS
IN JUST ONE
MINUTE?

Tocky says NOT A CHANCE!

Mister Maker says WELL, I THINK
I CAN DO IT, TOCKY.
BUT I WILL HAVE TO BE VERY
QUICK.
DON'T WORRY, THOUGH, I'LL REMIND
YOU HOW TO DO IT AT THE END.
ARE YOU READY?
LET'S MAKE IT IN A MINUTE.
START THE CLOCK.

A clock pops up on the bottom left corner of the screen.

Mr. Maker says RIGHT, LET'S GET THE COLOURED
CAKE CASE AND TURN IT INSIDE
OUT AND THEN GLUE IT INSIDE
THE LARGE CAKE CASE.
THERE WE GO.
STICK THAT IN THERE.
VERY GOOD.
RIGHT, NOW I'M GOING TO TAKE
THE CIRCLE OF CARD AND DRAW
A WINNER'S CUP.
THERE WE ARE.
JUST COLOUR THAT IN QUICKLY.
VERY GOOD.
RIGHT, NOW I NEED TO GLUE
THAT INSIDE HERE, THERE WE GO.
PUT A BIT OF GLUE ON THERE,
AND GLUE THIS INSIDE.
OKAY, THAT'S LOOKING GOOD.
NOW I NEED TO GET THE STRIPS
OF TISSUE PAPER AND VERY
CAREFULLY SNIP A TRIANGLE...

Mr. Maker cuts a triangle on one end of the strip of paper.

Tocky says BE CAREFUL!

Mister Maker says OUT OF THERE.
THAT'S JUST ONE END.
THERE, THAT LOOKS GOOD.
THERE WE GO.
RIGHT, NOW WE NEED TO GET
SOME GLUE ON THIS END HERE.

He puts some glue on the other end of the strip of paper. He glues one stick of paper over the other forming a V shape.

He says AND THEN PUT THAT ON THERE
AND THEN PUT SOME GLUE ON
THERE AND PUT THE CAKE CASE
ROSETTE ON TOP.
AND NOW WITH THIS SQUARE I
NEED TO MAKE A FLAP BY
TEARING ALMOST DOWN TO THE
END AND IF I PUT SOME GLUE ON
THERE, I'VE GOT A CAKE CASE
ROSETTE.
I DID IT!
[Bell ringing]

Mr. Maker shows the cake case rosette.

Tocky says ONLY JUST.

Mister Maker says YES, THAT WAS
CLOSE.
BUT NOW WE CAN POP OUR CAKE
CASE ROSETTE INTO OUR POCKET BY
USING THE FLAP THAT WE MADE ON
THE BACK.
THERE, SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.
IN IT GOES.

He puts the rosette into his pocket.

He says OH YES, VERY NICE INDEED.
AND IF YOU'VE GOT MORE THAN A
MINUTE YOU CAN ADD MORE CAKE
CASES AND TISSUE PAPER.

A different rosette pops up in Mr. Maker’s pocket. It’s red and it has a football ball design in the middle of it.

Mr. Maker says OH, THIS ONE'S A FOOTBALL
ROSETTE WITH TWO DIFFERENT
COLOURED TISSUE PAPERS.

Another rosette pops up. It’s green and white and it has a number 1 on the center of it.

Mr. Maker says OH, AND THIS ONE'S MADE OUT OF
LOTS OF CAKE CASES FOR A REALLY
FRILLY EFFECT.
CAKE CASE ROSETTES, WHY DON'T
YOU MAKE ONE IN A MINUTE?
OH, HERE'S A REMINDER OF HOW
TO DO IT.

Now, the video plays with a rewind effect.

Mr. Maker says LET'S GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING
AND TAKE ANOTHER LOOK.

Now, the instructions for the cake rosette play once again.

Mr. Maker says STICK THE COLOURED CAKE CASE
INSIDE THE WHITE CAKE CASE.
DRAW A WINNER'S CUP ON THE
CIRCLE AND STICK IT INSIDE THE
CAKE CASE, SNIP TRIANGLES OUT
OF THE TISSUE PAPER STRIPS AND
STICK THEM TO THE BACK OF THE
ROSETTE.
THEN TEAR A SLIT IN THE SQUARE
OF CARD AND STICK HALF OF IT TO
THE BACK OF THE CAKE CASE
ROSETTE AND POP IT IN YOUR
POCKET.
WHY DON'T YOU MAKE IT IN A
MINUTE?

Now, a lot of kids stand behind the window.

The kids wave at Mr. Maker and say WE'RE HERE, MISTER
MAKER!

Mister Maker says OH HELLO,
EVERYONE.

The kids say WATCH THIS!

Mister Maker says HO-HO, THIS
SHOULD BE FUN.
I WONDER WHAT THEY'RE UP TO.

(music plays)

The kids run in a white room. They are dressed in different colours.

A boy lies on the floor and says I'M GREY.

(music plays)
Lots of images of the same boy lying in different positions appear on screen.

A girl says I'M YELLOW.

(music plays)
The yellow girls lie in the floor and form a line.

A boy says I'M LIGHT BLUE.

(music plays)

The light blue boys lie in the floor and form a square.

Another boy says I AM BLACK.

(music plays)
The black boys lie in the floor and form a circle around a gray circle.

A girl says I AM RED.

(music plays)
The red girls lie in the floor and form a line.

(music plays)
A boy says I'M DARK BLUE.

An aerial image of the kids lying on the floor appears on screen.

The kids say IT'S A FIRE ENGINE!

(music plays)

Mister Maker says WELL
DONE, EVERYONE.
SEE YOU NEXT TIME.

Now, Mr. Maker appears on screen. He stands behind a frame.

He says NOW IT'S TIME TO...
FRAME IT.

[Camera shutter]

He stands behind another frame and says FRAME IT...
[Camera shutter]

He stands behind another frame and says FRAME IT.
[Camera shutter]

He stands in front of the pictures and says NOW TAKE A LOOK AT THIS.

A colourful fish appears on screen.

Mr. Maker says THIS IS A FABULOUS PICTURE OF A
SHINY FISH, AND IT LOOKS SO GOOD
YOU'LL BE ABLE TO FRAME IT.
YOU WILL NEED SOME PAPER, SOME
SHINY WRAPPERS OR BITS OF FOIL,
SCISSORS, GLUE, A SILVER PEN
AND A DARK BLUE FELT TIP PEN.
START OFF BY DRAWING A FISH
SHAPE WITH THE FELT TIP.
ITS BODY IS A CIRCLE WITH
THREE FINS.
NOW COLOUR IN THE FINS WITH THE
FELT TIP PEN.
DRAW AN EYE SHAPE AND A BIG
CURVY SMILE, AND YOU'VE GOT A
HAPPY FISH.
LET'S GIVE HIM SOME SCALES.
GET YOUR OLD SHINY WRAPPERS AND
BITS OF FOIL AND CAREFULLY CUT
OUT THE SCALES IN THE SHAPE OF
YOUR THUMB, OR AN UPSIDE DOWN U
LIKE THIS.
CUT LOTS OF SCALE SHAPES OUT OF
ALL THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FOIL
AND WRAPPERS.
NOW GLUE ALL OF THE SCALES
DOWN.
START AT THE BACK OF THE FISH
AND WORK YOUR WAY UP TOWARDS
HIS EYE AND MOUTH.
MAKE SURE YOU OVERLAP THE
SCALES LIKE THIS.

A close-up of the scales appear on screen. The scales overlap a little bit, one over the other.

Mr. Maker says THEN ADD A FEW EXTRA DETAILS
WITH A SILVER PEN TO FINISH IT
OFF.

He with a silver pen he colours the eye and draws lines on the fins. He also draws some silver bubbles.

Mr. Maker says IT'S A FABULOUS SHINY FISH.
WHAT A GREAT WAY OF MAKING A
REALLY CLEVER PICTURE.
NOW ALL THAT'S LEFT TO DO IS...

Mr. Maker snaps his fingers. The fish appears inside a frame.

He says FRAME IT!

Now, Mr. Maker stands in front of the doodle drawer.

He says I LOVE MAKING PICTURES OUT OF
ALL SORTS OF THINGS.
SO...
LET'S MAKE A PICTURE OUT OF
TOY CARS.

One of the drawers opens up. Lots of toy cars come out flying.

Mr. Maker says WOW!

The cars fly onto a blue screen.

Mr. Maker says CAN YOU GUESS WHAT IT'S GOING
TO BE?
WOW, IT'S AN AMAZING AMBULANCE.

Now, Mr. Maker reads a book. The cover has pictures of planets, astronauts and satellites.

Mr. Maker says OH, WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO BE
BRAVE AND ADVENTUROUS?
LIKE A SPACE MAN, IN FACT.

(Dreamy music)
Mr. Maker imagines he is an astronaut.

Mr. Maker says I NAME THIS PLANET...
PLANET MAKE!

He picks up a rock and says OH.... OH.... AND I'M GOING TO
TAKE THIS SPACE ROCK HOME AS
A SOUVENIR.

Now, the dreamy image fades away.

Mr. Maker says OH IF ONLY, EH?
WAIT A MINUTE.
WHAT'S THIS?

He holds a rock in his hands.

Mr. Maker says WASN'T THIS THE...?
OH, WELL, THIS HAS GIVEN ME A
GREAT IDEA.

The lamp icon pops up.

Mr. Maker says TRY MAKING SOME SPACEMAN
SKITTLES AND A GIANT SPACE
ROCK.
THEY'RE OUT OF THIS WORLD.
LET'S MAKE IT!
WE'LL NEED SOME THINGS FROM THE
DOODLE DRAWERS.

He runs to the doodle drawers to pick up the materials.

Mr. Maker says PLASTIC BOTTLES WITH LIDS...
THERE WE GO.
PLASTIC WASHING BALLS....
SOME PAINT AND TISSUE PAPER...
SOME MASKING TAPE AND SOME
GLOOPY PVA GLUE...
SOME PENS, SOME GLITTER, AND
SOME NEWSPAPER.

He takes all the things to the table.

He says WHOA!
NOW WE ALSO NEED SOME GOOGLY
EYES, AND YOU CAN GET THOSE FROM
AN ART AND CRAFT SHOP.
I'LL BE BACK IN A TICK.

He comes out of the room and comes back immediately bringing a pair of googly eyes.

Mr. Maker says HERE ARE OUR GOOGLY EYES.
NOW TO MAKE SPACE SKITTLES LIKE
THIS ONE HERE

He points to a bottle made up into an astronaut.

Mr. Maker says YOU FIRST NEED TO
FIND A PLASTIC BOTTLE LIKE THIS
WITH A NICE ROUNDED TOP.
NOW YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT
THIS BOTTLE IS COMPLETELY
CLEANED OUT SO YOU MIGHT WANT
TO ASK AN ADULT TO HELP YOU
WITH THIS BIT.
THEN YOU CAN COVER IT IN GLOOPY
GLUE AND BITS OF RIPPED UP
TISSUE PAPER.

He covers the bottle with a layer of glue and tissue paper.

Mr. Maker says AND WHEN IT'S DRY, WE CAN PAINT
IT.
NOW REMEMBER THAT THE LID IS
GOING TO BE THE SPACEMAN'S HEAD,
AND THE REST OF THE BOTTLE IS
GOING TO BE THE SPACE SUIT.
SO PAINT IT WHATEVER COLOUR YOU
LIKE.

He paints the lid with a soft pink and the rest with white.

Mr. Maker says WHEN IT'S DRY YOU CAN STICK ON
THE GOOGLY EYES.

He sticks the googly eyes on the pink part.

Mr. Maker says AND NOW WE CAN ADD SOME DETAILS
WITH A BLACK PEN.
YOU COULD DRAW THE SPACEMAN'S
FACE, HIS UNIFORM, HIS BOOTS,
AND EVEN HIS BACKPACK.
WHATEVER YOU WANT YOUR SPACEMAN
TO LOOK LIKE REALLY.

He draws the details with a black pen.

Mr. Maker says AND THEN FINALLY ADD SOME
COLOUR TO YOUR SPACEMAN SUIT
AND HIS HAIR WITH SOME FELT TIP
PENS.
NOW POP ON YOUR PLASTIC WASHING
BALL ON TOP OF YOUR SPACEMAN
FOR A PERFECT FITTING SPACE
HELMET.
THERE HE IS A SPACEMAN
SKITTLE.
NOW YOU NEED TO MAKE SOME MORE
SPACEMAN SKITTLES.

Several space skittles appear over the table.

Mr. Maker says YOU CAN MAKE AS MANY AS YOU
LIKE BUT AT LEAST THREE.
PAINT THEM ANY COLOUR AND
DESIGN THAT YOU LIKE, AND YOU'RE
ALMOST READY FOR A GAME OF
SKITTLES.
BUT FIRST WE'VE GOT TO MAKE
A BIG SPACE ROCK TO KNOCK
THEM OVER.

A space rock appears over the table.

Mr. Maker says HEY, NOW TO MAKE THIS JUST TAKE
SOME NEWSPAPER AND SCRUNCH IT
INTO A BIG BALL SHAPE.
[Paper rustling]
THEN TAPE IT TOGETHER WITH
MASKING TAPE...
AND THEN PAINT IT WITH
ROCK COLOURED PAINT.

WHILST IT'S STILL WET ADD SOME
GLITTER TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A
REALISTIC SPACE ROCK.
NOW REMEMBER TO DO THIS ON SOME
NEWSPAPER OR A TRAY AS THIS CAN
GET A BIT MESSY.
AND WHEN IT'S DRY YOU'RE READY
TO HAVE A GAME.

He puts the skittles on the floor and throws the rock. He knocks down one.

Mr. Maker says BRILLIANT!
AND SO LIKE THE REAL THING.
YOU KNOW, I'VE ALWAYS WANTED
TO BE A SPACEMAN.

Magically, he shrinks to the size of the skittles.

Mr. Maker says WOO!
OH, BUT THIS NOT
THIS
TYPE
OF SPACEMAN!
TIME TO GET OUT OF HERE!

[Crashing sound]

Mr. Maker goes back to normal size.

He says WOW, THAT WAS CLOSE.

Tocky says TIME TO GO!
TIME TO GO!

Mister Maker says AW, THAT'S IT
FOR NOW.
MY MAKING TIME'S OVER.
BUT YOURS IS JUST BEGINNING.
SEE YOU SOON.

A slate with the logos of The Foundation and CBeebies appear on screen. A caption reads: Copyright The foundation TV productions Ltd. 2008.
