(THEME MUSIC PLAYING)

In animation, fish, sea horse, a squid and lobster swim under the sea.

The title of the show reads "I’m a." Different types of fish and crustaceans appear below the title.

A sawfish comes out of the mud in the seafloor.

It swims to the camera and bumps his head against the lens.

It says SORRY, I'M A SAWFISH,
I CAN'T SEE VERY WELL,
I'M AFRAID.
ANYWAY, YOU JUST WOKE ME UP.
I'M NORMALLY ASLEEP
DURING THE DAY.

It yawns and a small fish enters its mouth.

The sawfish says HMM, THAT WAS DELICIOUS.
YOU CAN GUESS WHY I'M CALLED
A SAWFISH, RIGHT?
BUT THIS ISN'T REALLY A SAW.
IT'S A REALLY LONG NOSE
CALLED A ROSTRUM.
IMAGINE TRYING TO BLOW A NOSE
THIS LONG.
WE USE 'EM TO DEFEND OURSELVES.

A shark tries to bite its rostrum and swims away.

The sawfish says AND TO CATCH OUR FOOD
BY HITTING THEM,
OR DIGGING THEM UP
FROM THE SEAFLOOR.

It digs crabs out of the sea floor and eats them.

It says WE HAVE BAD EYESIGHT
BECAUSE WE LIVE IN THE MUD ON
THE SEAFLOOR AND HUNT AT NIGHT.
BUT THAT'S OKAY,
BECAUSE OUR ROSTRUM HELPS US
FIND FOOD MOVING UNDER THE MUD.
YEAH, LIVING DOWN HERE IS ALSO
A REASON WHY WE'RE FLAT
ON THE BOTTOM.
OUR MOUTHS ARE UNDERNEATH
AND WE BREATHE THROUGH
SMALL HOLES IN THE TOP,
BEHIND OUR EYES.

A small fish gets sucked into one of the holes.

The sawfish says WE'RE RELATED TO SHARKS
AND RAYS, NONE OF US HAVE BONES.
NOW DON'T BE SILLY,
OUR SKELETONS ARE MADE OF
CARTILAGE INSTEAD,
WHICH MAKES US VERY FLEXIBLE.
IT'S A LITTLE EMBARRASSING,
BUT UNLIKE MOST FISH,
WE DON'T HAVE A SWIM BLADDER
TO HELP US FLOAT.
THE SPECIAL OIL IN OUR LIVER
DOES THAT INSTEAD.
SADLY, THERE AREN'T AS MANY OF
US AS THERE USED TO BE.
OUR FINS, THE OIL IN OUR LIVERS,
AND ESPECIALLY OUR ROSTRUM ARE
VERY VALUABLE TO SOME PEOPLE.
WEIRD, HUH?
ANYWAY, I'M TOO TIRED TO TALK
ANYMORE RIGHT NOW.
THIS IS THE MIDDLE OF
THE NIGHT FOR ME.
I'M GONNA GO BACK TO BED.

It goes back in the mud.
