A Male Narrator says THIS IS AUTUMN.
SHE'S A SNOWSHOE SUPERSTAR.

Autumn has black hair. She wears a gray woollen hat and a black coat.

He continues SHE'LL COOK UP SOME FABULOUS
FRIED FISH AND SHOW YOU HER
SPECIAL SCHOOL.
SHE'LL TAKE YOU TRAPPING WITH
A CAMERA.

A clip shows Autumn having fun with her friends in the snow.

Gwa'les says SMILE AUTUMN.

The Narrator says READY TO MEET AUTUMN?
LET'S GO.

(music plays)

In animation, pictures of several different kids appear hanging on laundry lines. A raven on the lines flies off to the sun and opens his wings as the title of the show appears. It reads "Raven's Quest."

Autumn says AMA LAX HA.
GOOD DAY.
I AM AUTUMN.
I'M 11 YEARS OLD AND I'M GITKSAN
FROM THE KISPIOX BAND.
I LIVE IN TERRACE BRITISH
COLUMBIA.

A map shows the Canadian provinces. It zooms in on Terrace, British Columbia.

Autumn says THERE ARE 6 COMMUNITIES LIVING
WITHIN GITKSAN TERRITORY.
THEY ARE ANSPAYAXW.
GITANMAAX.
GITSEGUKLA.
SIK-E-DAKH.
GITANYOW
AND GITWANGAK.
MEET MY 2 BEST FRIENDS RUFUS AND
XADEN.

Rufus and Xaden are around 11 years old. Rufus has long black hair and wears a black coat. Xaden has brown hair and wears a green coat.

Xaden says YO, WHAT UP?

Autumn says RIGHT NOW WE'RE MAKING MINIATURE
SNOW PEOPLE BECAUSE THERE'S NOT
A LOT OF SNOW TODAY.

Rufus says XADEN DOES THE BODY AND AUTUMN
DOES THE HEAD.

Autumn says OKAY.
I LIKE XADEN AND RUFUS BECAUSE
THEY'RE FRIENDS AND I'VE KNOWN
THEM FOR A REALLY LONG TIME.

Rufus says SHE IS MY BEST FRIEND BUT ALSO
MY COUSIN.

Xaden says IT NEEDS A SMILE.

A caption reads "Autumn cam."

Autumn records the snow people they created.

Rufus says NOW YOU CAN HAVE A LITTLE
FACE.

Autumn says WHEN WE'RE ALL TOGETHER WE
USUALLY PLAY IN THE SNOW OR PLAY
VIDEO GAMES.
AH.

They roll on the snow.

Autumn says HE'S GONNA GET ME.
WELCOME TO MY HOUSE.
COME ON IN.

The caption changes to "My House."

Autumn says THIS IS A CANDLEFISH.
WE'RE GOING TO FRY IT AND THEN
WE'RE GOING TO EAT IT.
LET'S DO THIS GUYS.
WE GOT THESE ON THE SCHOOL FIELD
TRIP FROM THE SKEENA RIVER.
YOU CAN SMOKE IT IN A SMOKEHOUSE
OR FRY IT AND YOU CAN ALSO MAKE
OIL OUT OF IT.

Pictures show Autumn with a group of people and fried fish.

Autumn says THIS KINDA LOOKS LIKE A GHOST
GUYS.

Rufus says WHAT?
ALL DONE.

Autumn says AND NOW THEY'RE READY TO
FRY.
HERE YOU GO.

In her forties, Mom says THANK YOU.

Autumn says THIS IS MY MOM.

Mom says HELLO.

In the kitchen, Mom says NOW WE'RE GOING TO FRY IT ON
EACH SIDE FOR A FEW MINUTES
UNTIL IT'S NICE AND GOLDEN
BROWN.

Autumn says MM-HMM.
THE WORD FOR EULACHON OR
CANDLEFISH IN GITKSAN IS SAAK.
SAAK.
THIS IS WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE WHEN
THEY'RE ALL FRIED.
IT'S ALL READY.
(clapping)
TIME TO EAT.

Autumn and her friends eat the fish.

Xaden says THIS IS YUMMY.
THIS IS MY ROOM.
I RECENTLY GOT A NEW DOUBLE BED
AND I HAVE MY PURPLE COUCH
BECAUSE PURPLE'S MY FAVOURITE
COLOUR.
AND THEN I HAVE MY PERFECT
ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES.
THESE ARE MY SALMON RUN RACE
MEDALS.
I RAN THE SALMON RUN IN 2016
AROUND MY SCHOOL IN KITSUMKALUM.
AND IN 2017 I DID IT AGAIN.
THIS ONE'S A SILVER MEDAL AND
THIS ONE IS A BRONZE.
BUT I ALSO HAVE A SALMON RUN
TROPHY RIGHT HERE.
I WAS FIRST PLACE IN THE WHOLE
SCHOOL.
I WAS REALLY PROUD WHEN I WON.
WE CALL IT A SALMON RUN RACE
BECAUSE WE'RE KINDA IMITATING
THE SALMON'S PATH WHILE WE'RE
GOING UPSTREAM WHILE WE'RE
RUNNING.

Autumn and her friends stand next to a fish tank.

Autumn says MEET MY PET FISH.
TIME TO FEED THEM.
WE HAVE ONE BETTA AND WE HAVE A
FEW BOTTOM FEEDERS AND NEON
TETRAS.
WE ALSO HAVE FROGS IN THERE.
THESE ARE OUR BOTTOM FEEDER
FISH.
THEY EAT THE STUFF ON THE BOTTOM
OF OUR TANK SO OUR TANK COULD
STAY CLEAN.

Rufus watches the fish in the tank and says WHOA.

Autumn says THIS IS MY SCHOOL.
I'M IN GRADE 6 AND I'M LEARNING
THE LANGUAGE SM'ALGYAX HERE.
IT'S A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE THAN
WHAT I'M LEARNING AT HOME.

Autumn reads GRANDFATHER YE'E AND
GRANDMOTHER WERE FISHING ONE
DAY.

Autumn says RIGHT NOW I'M READING A STORY TO
ZARAH.
IN MY FREE TIME I LIKE TO
VOLUNTEER WITH THE KINDERGARTENS
TO HELP THEM WITH MATH AND
READING.

Autumn continues reading AND GRANDMOTHER WAS ROWING THE
BOAT FOR HIM.
IT WAS A GOOD DAY.

Autumn says AMA SAH.
AMA SAH.
CAN YOU SAY AMA SAH ZARAH?

Around 6 years old, Zarah says AMA SAH.

Autumn says GOOD JOB.
AND THEY WERE HAVING A GOOD
CATCH.

Then, Autumn plays the Ukele and sings ROW ROW ROW YOUR BOAT.

Autumn says I LIKE PLAYING UKULELE.
I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO
PLAY A CHORD.
THIS ONE WAS ONE OF THE EASIEST
ONES THAT I FOUND.
IT'S A C CHORD.
SO YOU GO TO THE 3 THIRD FRET
AND THE FIRST STRING AND YOU
STRUM DOWN AND THAT'S A C CHORD.

Later, in her living room, Autumn says I'M MAKING CEDAR ROSES.
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE CEDAR
ROSES IS PART OF THE CEDAR BARK,
WOODEN SKEWERS, FAKE GRASS,
GREEN TAPE AND STRING.
YOU FOLD THE TOP PART DOWN AND
THEN YOU JUST FOLD THIS PART
JUST A LITTLE AND YOU ALWAYS
HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS GOES
UP AND THEN THIS PART IS GOING
THIS WAY.
THEN JUST FOLD IT AGAIN AND THEN
TWIST IT AGAIN.
TRADITIONALLY YOU WOULD USE
CEDAR BARK TO MAKE BASKETS, MATS
AND HATS.
I LIKE MAKING CEDAR ROSES
BECAUSE THEY SMELL REALLY GOOD.
AND WHEN I'M DONE WITH MY CEDAR
ROSES I'M GONNA GIVE IT TO MY
PARENTS.

Mom and Dad say THANK YOU.

Dad says IT'S WONDERFUL.

They kiss her.

Out in the snowy woods, Gwa'les says SO REMEMBER WE HAVE TO PUT THE
HEEL STRAP DOWN FIRST RIGHT?

Gwa'les is in his late thirties. He wears a black jacket and green trousers.

Autumn says YES.
WE'RE HERE WITH MY TEACHER
GWA'LES AND I LIKE HIM BECAUSE
HE TEACHES US HOW TO SNOWSHOE.
MY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TRAPPING AND
SNOWSHOEING FOR THOUSANDS OF
YEARS.
I LIKE SNOWSHOEING BECAUSE YOU
GET TO FLOAT ON TOP OF THE SNOW
JUST LIKE A RABBIT.
WE'RE SETTING UP THE CAMERA SO
THAT WE MIGHT SEE AN ANIMAL
TODAY.

Gwa'les says SO IT'S ALREADY SET UP
TO AUDIO MODE.

He records them and says SMILE AUTUMN.

Autumn says I LIKE BEING HERE WITH MY
FRIENDS BECAUSE I LIKE LEARNING
ABOUT OUR LANGUAGE.

Gwa'les says SO WHEN STUKLIN COMES
IT TAKES AN AUTOMATIC PICTURE.

The caption changes to "rabbit equals stuklin."

Autumn attaches the device to a tree.

Autumn says AND WE'RE ALL SET.

Gwa'les says PERFECT.
SO WE'RE GONNA COME OVER THIS
WAY.

Autumn says RIGHT NOW WE'RE PUTTING THESE
STICKS INTO HERE SO THAT THE
STUKLIN, THE RABBIT, COULD GO
THROUGH HIS TRACKS AND GO TO
WHERE OUR CAMERA IS SET UP.

Next, Autumn and her friends run in the snow.

Autumn says RUFUS FELL.
I HOPE YOU HAD FUN WITH US
TODAY.
DIM HO GYA'A'Y 'NISM'.
I'LL SEE YOU AGAIN.

Music plays as the end credits roll.
