Hands fully soak the dry moss.

Text reads, add a layer of wet moss. The now wet moss is separated. A small clump of wet moss is pushed into the glass jar on top of the small stones. More wet moss is added. The wooden dowel is held. It’s put in the glass jar and pushes against the wet moss. Text reads, firmly press the layers down. The dowel pushes against the wet moss, flattening it. Text reads, crumble some coal…. A hand crumbles some charcoal. Text reads, …and add a layer. Crumbled charcoal is added to the glass jar.

Text reads, add a layer of soil. A hand drops pinches of soil to the jar on top of the charcoal. Text reads, finally, add the fresh moss. A hand separates a small portion of the fresh moss then adds it to the jar. Another portion of moss is added. The moss reaches the top of the jar. Text reads, lightly press down into soil. One hand holds the jar while the other gently presses down on the moss with the wooden dowel. Half of the jar is filled. The hands hold the spray bottle. Text reads, spray with a generous amount of water. One hand tilts the jar while another sprays into the jar with the spray bottle multiple times.

The fresh moss is thoroughly sprayed. Text reads, clean your creation. The hands hold a cloth and clean inside the jar. They clean around the jar and the remaining space inside the jar. Text reads, seal the jar to keep it humid and moist. The cork lid is pressed into the jar. Two thirds of the jar is filled with the different layers. The mossarium is displayed. The hands give thumbs up.

Hands rotate the jar. Text reads, keep out of direct sunlight and check the water level every few weeks. The hands stop turning the jar. Text reads, and add a few tablespoons of water if necessary.
