An animation shows traffic travelling through a city. People are gathered outside houses and a pizza parlour. A pink school bus scatters stars as it passes by a grassy hill.

Text reads, “TVO kids and ABC presents”.

Children and their pets run to the hill and climb onto the title which they read, BIG WORDS, SMALL STORIES.

Oleander reads the episode title, DANCE DANGER.

Opening credits read, written by Jessica Hopcraft. Directed by Chris Roy and Cory Morrison.

Oleander wears her black hair in two bunches on top of her head. She dances in her living room with her blue pet salamander, Sally.

Sally says, OKAY! KICK!
WHOOAA... SPLIT!
AH! TWIRL AND SHIMMY!

Oleander falls and says, OW! SALLY?

Oleander pushes a needle across a record.

[Music stops playing]

Oleander says, MY ANKLE!

Sally says, THIS IS ALL MY FAULT!
I FORGET I'M A MUCH BETTER DANCER THAN YOU.

Oleander says, I WOULDN'T SAY MUCH BETTER.
I HAVE HURT MY ANKLE THOUGH.

Oleander’s dad says, IT'S A LITTLE BRUISED BUT YOU'LL
BE FINE. JUST REST UP. NO DANCING!

Sally says, PHEW!

She asks,WHAT CAN I GET YOU? ANYTHING?

Oleander replies, HMM... MAYBE A BLANKIE
AND A PILLOW?

Sally says, ON IT!

Sally rushes off.

Oleander’s dad asks, WHAT CAN I DO?

Oleander sits on a green couch and replies, UM... A HOT CHOCOLATE?
PLEASE?

Oleander’s dad says, ON IT!

Sally returns, carrying a blanket and a pillow.

Oleander says, OH THANKS, SALLY,
BUT THESE HAVE FEATHERS
WHICH MAKE ME... AH... AH...

[Oleander sneezes]

[Oleander groans]

Oleander’s dad says, YOUR HOT CHOCOLATE, MADEMOISELLE.

Oleander asks, DO WE HAVE ANY MARSHMALLOWS?

Oleander’s dad leaves.

Sally returns, this time carrying another pillow and blanket. Oleander wags her finger.

She says, NUH-UH.

Sally leaves, just as Oleander’s dad returns with the marshmallows.

Oleander asks, SMALLER?

[Oleander ‘s dad sighs]

Oleander’s dad says, PHEW.

[Oleander slurps]

Oleander says, OH! IT'S A BIT HOT.
NO, THAT BLANKIE IS SCRATCHY—

Sally says, OLEANDER!
WE ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU BY
BRINGING YOU ALL THESE THINGS!
YOU'RE MAKING US SO... SO...
EXASPERATED!

Sprinkle Fairy says, EXASPERATED
MEANS TO BE VERY UPSET.
YOU KNOW, LIKE THE WAY
SALLY AND DAD ARE EXASPERATED
WITH ALL THE THINGS
OLEANDER IS MAKING THEM DO.

Sally says, WELL, WE COULD USE SOME HELP.
SORRY. MY CAT AND I
ARE DOING KARAOKE LATER.
I NEED TO PRACTICE MY SINGING.

Sprinkle Fairy sings, MEEE-OWWW!

A tiny creature sits in a first aid box, wrapped in a bandage. It rushes off with another tiny creature.

Oleander says, I'M SORRY! I DON'T WANT YOU
TO BE EXASPERATED WITH ME.

[Oleander sighs]

Oleander says, I DON'T NEED ANYTHING ELSE.

Sally says, NO, I'M SORRY FOR GETTING UPSET.

Oleander’s dad says, ME TOO.

Sally asks, CAN WE DO ANYTHING ELSE
FOR YOU TODAY?

[Oleander gasps] OH NO!

TODAY IS SATURDAY!

[Oleander’s dad sounds nervous]

Oleander’s dad says, OH... AHH...
OOH! DID YOU HEAR THAT?
MASSIMO'S CRYING!
IF YOU NEED ME, JUST YELL!

Sally asks Oleander, WHAT DO YOU DO ON SATURDAYS?

Oleander replies, I WALK THE QUEEN'S DOGS.

[Sally scoffs]

Sally says, I CAN DO THAT! NO SWEAT!

Sally is dragged along a sidewalk as she grips the leashes of three corgis.

Sally shouts, STOP! HEEL! NO WALKIES!
SLOW DOWN, YOUR MAJESTIES?!
HELP! HELP!

Sally returns to Oleander’s living room.

[Oleander gasps]

Oleander says, I'M SORRY.
YOU LOOK EXASPERATED.
I'LL CANCEL MY OTHER THING.

Sally says, IT'S FINE.

She asks, WHAT OTHER THING?

Oleander replies, A PAPER-MÂCHÉ WORKSHOP.

Sally says heroically, THEY DON'T CALL ME
PAPIER-MÂCHÉ-MANDER FOR NOTHING!
ACTUALLY, NO ONE CALLS ME THAT.

Sally stands in front of children on a sidewalk. Inflated balloons are stuck to her hands.

She instructs, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GLUE
THE BALLOONS TO YOUR HANDS.
IT MAKES IT REALLY HARD
TO DO ANYTHING ELSE.

Sally walks towards Oleander, who is still sitting on the couch. The balloons are still stuck to Sally.

Oleander says, OH MY GOSH! YOU MUST BE EVEN
MORE EXASPERATED WITH ME NOW!

Sally replies, WELL, YEAH, KIND OF.

Oleander’s dad stands in the living room doorway and says,
THE TIPPY TOE TAPATHON CALLED TO
REMIND YOU IT'S THIS AFTERNOON.
HMM... I'M BUSY THOUGH. SORRY!

[Sally groans]

Sally says, LEAVE IT WITH ME.
JUST MIGHT NEED HELP
WITH THESE BALLOONS FIRST.

An announcer says, START TAPPING!

Sally tap dances on a stage.

Sally says, THIS ISN'T TOO BAD.

The hands of a clock rotate quickly. Sally looks tired.

[Clock gongs]

[Sally pants]

Sally says, PHEW! I DID IT!

Sally says, WOAH!

Sally falls off the stage.

[Sally sighs]

Oleander asks, SALLY! ARE YOU—

Sally interrupts, EXASPERATED?!

YES, I AM!

I'M TRYING TO HELP

BUT I CAN'T GET ANYTHING RIGHT!

Oleander says, SALLY, I'M SO SORRY.
I SHOULD NEVER
HAVE GOT YOU TO HELP.

Sally says, YOU'RE HURT
BECAUSE OF MY DANCE MOVES!
I'M SORRY I GOT MAD.
I-I'M JUST NOT AS GOOD AS YOU
AT SOME THINGS, AND...
THAT'S... EXASPERATING!

The tiny creatures jump off Sally and onto the couch.

Sally holds up a tiny cushion and says, IS THIS THE BEST CUSHION
WE'VE GOT?
IT'S KIND OF FLAT.
