(Happy music)

In animation, different homes in a city, suburbs and countryside appear.

A title appears on a hill. It reads: TVOKids and ABC presents. Big Words, Small Stories

Children say, BIG WORDS, SMALL STORIES.

A title reads: Squeaky’s Return. Written by Jessica Hopcraft

A child’s voice says, SQUEAKY’S RETURN.

Abigail, a dog with black ears, lies on her back on a bed.

Abigail says, IMAGINE THERE WAS A DRINK THAT WAS LIKE MELTED ICE-CREAM. OH, I GUESS THAT'S A MILKSHAKE.

Mom comes upstairs to the bedroom, carrying boxes.

Mom says, HEY, YOU TWO! THAT TOY CHEST NEEDS SORTING TODAY. SORT INTO RECYCLE, GIVE AWAY AND KEEP. I'M FINALLY GETTING RID OF JUDY'S OLD PAPER DOLL.

Judy asks, HAVE YOU SEEN DOLLY?

Mom hurries Judy away.

Mom says, SORRY, SWEETIE, I HAVEN'T BUT LET'S LOOK DOWNSTAIRS. MAKE SURE THE KEEP PILE IS SMALL!

Davey opens a chest. He has black hair and glasses. He wears a yellow striped shirt and blue pants. A blue dolphin toy flies out of the chest.

(Gasps)

Abigail says, SQUEAKY! I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!

Davey says, WOW, I HAVEN'T SEEN HER IN AGES. SHE LOOKS A LITTLE ROUGH. RECYCLE?

Abigail says, RECYCLE SQUEAKY?! SHE'S FAMILY.

Davey says, A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY YOU FORGOT ABOUT, WHO'S GRUBBY AND MISSING AN EYE.

Abigail says, THAT DOESN'T MATTER. IT'S HOW I FEEL ABOUT HER! I FEEL REALLY... REALLY... SENTIMENTAL!

(Musical fanfare)

A pink double-decker bus drives by.

Creatures cry, SENTIMENTAL!

The Sprinkle Fairy flies in. She has tall grey hair and is dressed in purple. She carries a wand.

Sprinkle Fairy says, SENTIMENTAL IS A FEELING OF LOVE AND CARING ABOUT SOMETHING. YOU KNOW, LIKE THE WAY ABIGAIL FEELS ABOUT HER OLD DOLPHIN TOY.

Abigail says, SHE'S NOT THAT OLD!

Sprinkle Fairy says, I'VE SEEN DINOSAURS YOUNGER THAN SQUEAKY!

(Chuckles)

Sprinkle Fairy says, ANYWAY, I MUST BE OFF! I'VE GOT A DENTAL APPOINTMENT WITH THE TOOTH FAIRY. TOODLES!

The Sprinkle Fairy flies away.

Abigail says, SQUEAKY WAS THERE FOR ME IN ALL MY MOST IMPORTANT MOMENTS...

(Gentle music)

Abigail licks a lollipop. She sticks the lollipop on Squeaky. Abigail’s arm is in a sling, and she sits with Davey in a doctor’s office.

Davey sits on a beach. He waves to Abigail who swims and pulls Squeaky through the water.

(Bicycle bell rings)

Abigail cries, WHEE!

Abigail and Squeaky are on a bicycle. Davey pushes the bicycle.

Davey says, YOU KNOW, I WAS THERE FOR ALL THOSE MOMENTS TOO, ABIGAIL.

Abigail says, YOU AND SQUEAKY HAVE SENTIMENTAL VALUE. I WOULDN'T THROW YOU AWAY!

Text reads: Sentimental

Mom says, HOW ABOUT YOU CAN KEEP SQUEAKY IF YOU WASH AND MEND HER? SHE IS PRACTICALLY PART OF THE FAMILY.

Abigail says, SEE, DAVEY? SHE'LL BE AS GOOD AS NEW!

Mom says, GREAT! NOW, I NEED TO GET THIS DOLL PACKED BEFORE YOUR SISTER FINDS IT.

Mom takes Squeaky and goes downstairs. Davey takes a flashlight from the chest.

(Clicking)

Davey says, RECYCLE!

Abigail says, YOU CAN'T! THAT FLASHLIGHT HAS SENTIMENTAL VALUE! IT'S THE FLASHLIGHT WE USE EVERY HALLOWEEN FOR OUR SPOOKY STORIES.

Davey takes more things out of the chest.

Abigail says, HMM. THIS IS ALL THAT WAS LEFT OF ROBO-RUTH AFTER YOUR GRANDMOTHER RAN OVER HER WITH THE LAWN MOWER. YOU STOOD ON THOSE BLOCKS WHEN YOU COULDN'T REACH THE COUNTER.

Davey says, I GET IT. HAVING HAPPY MEMORIES ABOUT THINGS GIVES THEM SENTIMENTAL VALUE. BUT WE CAN'T KEEP IT ALL.

Abigail looks at a bucket with a hole in it.

Abigail says, YOU KNOW WHAT? I DON'T THINK THIS HAS SENTIMENTAL VALUE!

Abigail grabs at the bucket.

Abigail says, AH! BUT WE SHOULD KEEP IT JUST IN CASE!

They tug on the bucket.

(Both grunting with effort)

Judy says, I STILL CAN'T FIND MY DOLLY!

Davey says, WHY DON'T I PUT THESE THINGS AWAY WHILE YOU GET SQUEAKY BACK IN SHAPE?

Abigail asks, WANNA HELP ME GIVE SQUEAKY A BATH?

Judy says, UH-HUM!

Judy and Abigail go downstairs.

Davey looks at the bucket.

Davey says, HMM...

(Splashing)

Squeaky is dipped in water.

Abigail takes Squeaky out of a sink and runs outside. Davey follows.

Squeaky hangs on a clothesline.

(Clothesline squeaking)

(Music playing)

Abigail and Judy sit on a couch. Abigail holds up thread against Squeaky. Judy shakes her head.

Judy says, NUH-UH.

Abigail holds a toy eye up to Squeaky.

Judy says, NOPE.

Abigail holds up another toy eye.

Judy says, YES!

Abigail says, AND WE'RE NEARLY DONE WITH THE NEW, IMPROVED SQUEAKY!

Judy says, SHE LOOKS LUVVY-WUVVY!

Abigail says, IT'S TIME SQUEAKY MADE A NEW FRIEND. JUDY, DO YOU WANT TO KEEP HER?

Judy cries, SQUEAKY!

(Giggling)

Davey says, HEY, THAT WAS A NICE THING TO DO.

Davey and Abigail go upstairs.

Abigail says, SQUEAKY'S IN GOOD HANDS. PLUS, I CAN VISIT WHENEVER I LIKE. HEY! DID YOUR MOM TAKE MY STUFF?

Davey says, YES. BUT WE USED IT... TO MAKE THIS LAMP!

A lamp made out of different bits of toys is on a table.

(Gasps)

(Fanfare)

Abigail says, I LOVE IT! ALL MY THINGS WITH SENTIMENTAL VALUE TOGETHER!

Text reads: Sentimental

Judy says, IT'S OKAY I CAN'T FIND DOLLY, MOM. I HAVE SQUEAKY NOW!

(Squeaking sound)

The lamp shines in Abigail’s face.

(All laughing)
