Camille says, WE ARE IN MONGOLIA, FAMOUS FOR
ITS' NOMADIC TRIBES, WIDE-OPEN
SPACES AND HORSES!
WELCOME TO THE SHOW!

The horse walks slowly. The man smiles.

Camille says, THIS IS AS FAST AS I WANT TO
GO.

(Dramatic music plays)

Karim stands on a beach. He has black, curly hair. Text over different cities rapidly changes as the cities change. The text reads, Brazil, Kenya, Mongolia, Malaysia, Guatemala, Japan.

Karim narrates, I'VE GOT THE BOYS TEAM.

The boys team watches two Sumo wrestlers wrestle.

Camille says, AND I'VE GOT THE GIRLS.

Camille walks with the girls team through a busy market at night.

Camille says, GET HIM, ALESHA!

Alesha fights a person using long sticks.

Karim narrates, AND THEY'RE TRAVELLING...

One of the boys says, VAMOS!

Camille narrates, ...TO THE FURTHEST CORNERS OF
THE EARTH TO TEST THEIR
SPORTING SKILLS AGAINST LOCALS.

Karim narrates, AND COMPETING IN
SPORTS THEY'VE NEVER DREAMED OF
TRYING.

Sol gets kicked in the head.

One of the boys says, I'VE NEVER SEEN A SPORT
LIKE IT.

Karim narrates, HOW WILL THEY MEASURE UP
WITH JUST A WEEK TO BEAT THE
WORLD?

A person says, GO, GO, GO, GO, GO.

Neisha quickly carries a tray of drinks through a busy market.

Camille says, THE GIRLS HAVE GOT THIS.

Karim says, NO WAY!
THE BOYS HAVE GOT THIS!

Camille and the girls and a few others put their hands in the centre of a circle. They throw their hands up and cheer. Elsewhere Karim and the boys do the same.

One of the boys says, LET'S GO!

An animated pink Earth with yellow continents rotates and bounces. Text over the Earth reads, A Week to Beat the World.

Karim narrates, MONGOLIA.

An airplane flies across a map.

Karim narrates, A VAST
COUNTRY IN EAST ASIA, BORDERED
BY CHINA TO THE SOUTH AND
RUSSIA TO THE NORTH.

Mongolia is identified on the map.

Karim narrates, IT'S KNOWN FOR ITS HUGE,
REMOTE LANDSCAPES, HARSH COLD
CLIMATE, AND POPULATION OF
SUPER TOUGH, FEARLESS NOMADS.

Pairs of people wrestle. Camille screams as she gets taken down by her partner.

Karim narrates, THE GIRLS' TEAM OF
HORSE-RIDER NEISHA, SPRINTER ALESHA
AND BOXER JOCELYN HAVE
JUST A WEEK TO BEAT THE
MONGOLIANS AT THEIR OWN GAME.

Neisha has long, light brown hair. Alesha has long blond hair. Jocelyn has long, light brown hair.

Karim narrates, AND THEY'RE HERE, AT A STATUE
IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, TO
FIND OUT WHAT THAT IS.

Camille says, WOW!

Camille and the girls climb up a staircase that’s part of the huge equestrian statue that takes them to the top of the horses head.

Camille says, I FEEL LIKE I'M IN
TITANIC!

The girls laugh.

Camille says, I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD!
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN SO MUCH
SPACE?

The girls all say, NO.

Camille says, I KNOW, IT'S CRAZY.

One of the girls says, YOU CAN SEE FOR MILES.

Camille says, YEAH, MILES AND MILES.
BUT I GUESS IF YOU'RE 40 METRES
TALL, LIKE THIS GUY, YOU NEED A
BIT OF SPACE TO STRETCH OUT.

The girls laugh and say, YEAH.

Camille asks, HAS ANYONE GOT ANY IDEA WHO
THIS SHINY METAL CHAP IS?

Alesha says, ISN'T HIS NAME GENGHIS KHAN?

Camille says, YOU BEEN READING UP ABOUT
MONGOLIA?

Alesha says, JUST A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE.

Neisha and Jocelyn laugh.

Camille says, LOT OF KNOWLEDGE FROM ALESHA.
YEAH, SHE'S BANG ON.
IN HIS DAY, HE CONQUERED AND
RULED A QUARTER OF THE WORLD'S
POPULATION.

Neisha and Jocelyn ask, THE WHOLE WORLD?

Camille says, AND YOU'RE HERE TO THIS WEEK
TO MASTER THE SECRET TO HIS
SUCCESS.

Karim narrates, MONGOLIA IS KNOWN AS
THE LAND OF THE HORSE.
PEOPLE HERE LEARN TO RIDE
SEMI-WILD HORSES AS SOON AS
THEY CAN WALK...

The man with the leather headband rides a horse at a fast speed while he shoots an arrow at a target. Camille gasps.

Camille says, BULLSEYE!

Karim narrates,...AND THAT MEANS THEY GET
PRETTY GOOD AT IT.

While riding his horse the man throws a lasso around a horse ahead of him.

Neisha says, THAT'S COOL.

Camille says, REALLY COOL!

A man riding a horse hangs upside down on a side of the horse.

Camille and the girls all say, WHOA!

Karim narrates, I COULD DO ALL THAT, BUT
IT'S NOT MY WEEK, SO I CAN'T
SHOW YOU.

Camille says, WOW!
WHAT'S HE DOING?

The man with the leather headband leans off his horse and grabs something off the ground.

Camille and the girls say, WHOA!

Camille says, I COULD HAVE PASSED THAT TO
YA, MATE; THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN
WAY EASIER!
THAT WAS AMAZING.
SO, LITTLE BIT OF A CLUE AS TO
WHAT YOU'RE GONNA BE DOING THIS
WEEK.

Camille gestures to the two men on horses.

Alesha says, WASN'T EXPECTING THIS.

Camille says, YOU WEREN'T EXPECTING HORSES?

Alesha says, NO.

Jocelyn says, NEITHER WAS I.

Camille asks, ARE YOU NICELY SURPRISED,
NEISHA?

Neisha says, IT'S A BIT DIFFERENT TO WHAT
I NORMALLY DO.

Camille says, I DON'T BELIEVE YOU.

The girls laugh.

Camille says, ALESHA, HORSES AREN'T NORMALLY
YOUR THING.
HOW ARE YOU FEELING WATCHING
THAT?

Alesha says, SCARED.

Camille asks, JOCELYN, HOW ARE YOU FEELING?

Jocelyn says, QUITE SCARED, BUT I'M
EXCITED, AS WELL.

Camille asks, IS THERE ANYTHING FROM YOUR
BOXING TRAINING THAT YOU THINK
YOU CAN APPLY TO THIS?

Jocelyn shakes her head.

She says, NO.

Camille says, NOTHING AT ALL?

Jocelyn says, NO.

She laughs.

Camille says, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ON A
HORSE, JOCELYN.

Camille laughs.

Neisha says, WHEN WE SAW THE PEOPLE RIDING
WITH LIKE NO HANDS OR NO HATS,
DOING ALL THE TRICKS, IT'S VERY
DIFFERENT TO WHAT WE DO AT HOME
AND JUST, LIKE, SHOWS HOW
SKILFUL THEY ARE.

Camille says, GET ME ON THE HORSE, I'LL BE
LASSOING, DOING BAH!

A lasso is thrown over Camille. Neisha laughs.

Camille says, THAT'S SO RUDE!
GIRLS,
THIS GEEZER IS CALLED GESER, AND
HE IS GOING TO BE YOUR HORSE
TRAINER FOR THE WEEK.

Geser, the man with the leather headband, speaks Mongolian. A person translates for him.

Geser says, I'M GOING
TO TEACH YOU HORSE-RIDING,
ARCHERY, AND LASSOING, LIKE
THIS.

People ride horses. A man shoots an arrow. Geser gestures to Camille with the lasso around her. A man throws a lasso around a pole.

Gesersays, AND AFTER FIVE DAYS, YOU'LL
COMPETE IN A COMPETITION
AGAINST SOME LOCAL MONGOLIANS.

A young boy throws a lasso. A person translates for Geser.

Geser says, MONGOLIAN CHILDREN START RIDING
HORSES WHEN THEY'RE FOUR YEARS
OLD AND RACING THEM WHEN
THEY'RE SIX YEARS OLD.
THESE GIRLS HAVE GROWN UP IN A
COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
ENVIRONMENT, SO THEY WON'T FIND
IT EASY.

Jocelyn says, IT'S GOING TO BE REALLY HARD
BECAUSE I'M NOT REALLY GOOD AT
ANY OF THE EVENTS AND I DON'T
HAVE EXPERIENCE OF ANY ON THEM,
BUT I'M QUITE EXCITED TO TRY
THEM ALL.

Alesha says, IN GENERAL, I'M NOT TOO KEEN
ON ANIMALS AND EVEN LESS KEEN ON
BIGGER ANIMALS.
SO THAT KIND OF SCARES ME A BIT.

Neisha says, I THINK IT IS GOOD THAT I CAN
RIDE BECAUSE I CAN LIKE GIVE
JOCELYN AND ALESHA LIKE TIPS AND
LIKE HELP THEM, LIKE, KNOW WHAT
TO DO, TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT
SCARED OR ANYTHING.

(Bright music plays)

Karim narrates, TO HELP THE GIRLS
BECOME AS SKILLED AS LOCAL
MONGOLIAN NOMADS, THEY HAVE TO
LIVE LIKE NOMADS.
SO, THAT GEEZER GESER IS TAKING
THEM TO LIVE WITH A NOMAD
FAMILY FOR THE DURATION OF THE
WEEK.
IT'S A 60-KILOMETRE DRIVE,
WHICH, IN THIS MASSIVE COUNTRY,
IS LIKE POPPING AROUND THE
CORNER TO YOUR MATE'S HOUSE.
THEY ARE STAYING IN GERS,
BASICALLY LARGE TENTS, WITH
GESER'S FRIENDS, THE BYAMBAA
FAMILY.

Camille gets out of a car.

She says, THIS IS GONNA BE OUR HOME FOR
THE WEEK!

The girls get out of the car.

A person says, HELLO.

Karim narrates, THERE'S GRANDPARENTS GANTUMUR
AND OYUNA,
TEENAGERS BILGUUN AND SUMIYA,
AND A BUNCH OF TODDLERS, WHO
CAN PROBABLY ALREADY RIDE A
HORSE UPSIDE-DOWN.
THIS FAMILY ARE NOMADIC, SO
THEY MOVE EVERYTHING, ANIMALS,
AND THERE'S LOADS OF THEM,
TENTS, BEDS, THE LOT, FOUR
TIMES A YEAR.

Camille says, SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Alesha says, IT'S COOL.

Neisha and Jocelyn say, YEAH.

Alesha adds, YEAH.

Camille steps into one of the Gers.

She says, WOW.

The girls follow Camille in.

Karim narrates, THE GIRLS' TEAM MAY BE 7000
KILOMETRES AWAY FROM HOME,
BUT EVEN HERE, A VISITOR
GETS A CUP OF TEA.

Camille and the girls sit at a table with their hosts. They’re each handed a small cup.

Camille says, OH, IT SMELLS NICE AND MILKY.
HOW DO YOU SAY "THANK YOU" IN
MONGOLIAN?

Gantumur says, BAYARNLA.

Camilla says, BAYARNLA.
THAT'S HOW WE SAY "THANK YOU".
GOT TO REMEMBER THAT ONE.

Neisha says, LOADS OF STUFF, LIKE THE TV
AND BEDS.

Camilla says, MORE STUFF THAN YOU EXPECTED
FROM THE OUTSIDE, YEAH.

Neisha says, I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE
LIKE QUITE PLAIN, BUT THERE'S
LIKE EVERYTHING IN HERE.

A clock hangs on a wall.

Karim narrates, THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED A GER,
INNIT?
ALL THE GEAR IN IT.

A TV sits on a large dresser.

Karim narrates, THIS SHOULD BE MY WEEK, I TELL
YOU.
I KNOW LOADS OF STUFF, ME.

Jocelyn asks, SO, WHERE DO YOU COOK AND
PREPARE YOUR FOOD?

Oyuna gestures to a small table. She speaks in Mongolian. A person translates for her.

She says, IN THIS
SMALL KITCHEN AREA AND THEN WE
COOK IT HERE ON THIS WOOD
BURNING STOVE.

Alesha asks, WHERE WILL WE BE SLEEPING?

Sumiya says, IN ANOTHER GER.

Camille and Alesha say, OH.

Oyuna steps outside of the Ger.

Karim narrates, NOMADS ARE ALL ABOUT
HOSPITALITY, SO THE GIRLS TEAM
GET TO STAY WITH THEIR HOSTS
ALL WEEK.

The girls follow Sumiya into a different Ger.

Neisha says, I HOPE THERE'S THREE
BEDS.

Jocelyn says, WOAH.

In the Ger are two cots that are low to the ground and a bed.

Neisha asks, SO, WHO'S GOING ON THE BED,
THEN?

Jocelyn says, I LIKE THIS ONE; IT LOOKS
REALLY COMFY.

Jocelyn points to one of the cots that has a blanket and a sleeping bag. Alesha carefully sits on the other cot.

Jocelyn says, IT'S ACTUALLY REALLY COMFY.

Jocelyn sits on her cot.

Neisha says, MUCH COMFIER THAN I
WAS EXPECTING.

Jocelyn asks, SHALL WE GO ON THE BED?

The three girls sit on the bed.

Neisha says, I RECKON THOSE ARE MORE COMFY.

Jocelyn says, YEAH.

Alesha says, I THINK I'D RATHER
SLEEP ON THAT TO BE FAIR.

Jocelyn says, SAME.

Neisha says, AND WE CAN LIKE SWAP.

Alesha says, YEAH, WE CAN CHANGE.

Karim Narrates, SO FAR SO GOOD, BUT
THE BEST BIT OF THE TOUR IS YET
TO COME.
NOT REALLY!
IT'S THE TOILET!

In open land logs are stacked to form a square shape.

Karim narrates, LOOK AT IT, IT'S MILES AWAY.

The girls head towards the logs. They laugh when they reach it. Three log walls cover a hole in the ground.

Alesha says, IMAGINE FALLING IN
THAT.

(Groaning)

Jocelyn says, WHERE ARE YOU
SUPPOSED TO SIT?

Neisha says, I THINK YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO
SQUAT, LIKE PUT YOUR LEGS ON.

Jocelyn says, AH, YEAH.
IT'S NOT THAT HIGH, THE WALLS.

Alesha says, NO.

Jocelyn says, AND THEY'RE
SEE-THROUGH.

The girls laugh.

Karim narrates, SO, NO SEAT, NO DOOR, NO
FLUSH, NO TOILET, IN FACT.
HARDLY WORTH IT.
I'LL JUST DO IT IN MY PANTS,
I THINK.
IT WOULD HELP KEEP YOU WARM.
I'M SAYING THIS OUT LOUD,
AREN'T I?

(Horses whinnying)

Karim narrates, TOILET STOP COMPLETE, IT'S BACK
TO BUSINESS.
NOT THAT KIND OF BUSINESS.
I MEAN HORSES!

The girls wear horse riding gear. A person translates for Geser.

Geser says, SO, THIS
IS YOUR FIRST LESSON,
MEETING THE HORSES.

Camille says, SO, YOU'RE GOING TO BE PAIRED
WITH THE ONE THAT YOU'RE GOING
TO BE RIDING FOR THE WEEK.

Jocelyn says, OKAY.

Camille says, YEAH?
HOW ARE YOU FEELING ABOUT THIS,
ALESHA?

Alesha says, I'M REALLY NERVOUS.

Camille says, ARE YOU?

Alesha nods.

Camille asks, IS IT MAKING YOU FEEL BETTER NOW
THAT YOU ARE HERE AND YOU CAN
SEE THEM ALL?

Alesha says, NO.

Camille says, NO?

Camille and the girls laugh. Neisha suddenly turns towards the horses.

She says, THE HORSE HAS JUST
JUMPED OVER THE FENCE!

Camille says, OOH!

People speak in Mongolian as they try and pull the horse back.

Camille says, REBEL!

Jocelyn says, I HOPE THEY ARE NOT PICKING
THAT ONE.

Neisha says, YOU'RE GOING TO RIDE THAT
ONE.

Jocelyn says, IT'S JUST JUMPED TWO FENCES.

The people speak in Mongolian as they try and get the horse.

Alesha says, THE HORSES SEEM REALLY
UNPREDICTABLE AND WILD.

(Bright music plays)

Karim narrates, MEETING THEIR HORSE IS
REALLY IMPORTANT; IT WILL BE
THEIRS ALL WEEK, INCLUDING THE
COMPETITION.
AND THESE HORSES ARE SEMI-WILD.
THEY'VE ACCEPTED THE NOMADS,
BUT THE GIRLS NEED TO EARN
THEIR TRUST OR RISK BEING
THROWN OFF.

A man handles a horse that’s wearing a saddle.

Jocelyn says, OH NO.

Neisha laughs.

Camille asks, WHY ARE YOU OH NO-ING?

Jocelyn says, SOME OF THEM LOOK LIKE REALLY
MASSIVE.

Camille and the girls laugh.

Karim narrates, AS THE HORSES ARE
SADDLED UP, THEY TRY TO GET
SOME INSIDER INFO FROM BILGUUN.

Neisha asks, WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE HORSE
OUT OF THE THREE?

Bilguun speaks in Mongolian. A person translates for him.

Bilguun says, THAT ONE.

Bilguun points to a horse.

He says, THE BROWN AND WHITE BECAUSE
IT'S THE FASTEST.

Neisha nods.

Karim narrates, BUT IT'S DOWN TO GESER
FOR WHO GETS WHICH HORSE.

Geser speaks in Mongolian. A person translates for him.

Geser says, OKAY, THESE ARE YOUR HORSES.
TWO OF THEM ARE REALLY CALM AND
ONE OF THEM WE CALL "LIGHT
LEGS" BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE
MOVES AROUND.
HE WILL PROBABLY BE BEST FOR
NEISHA, AS SHE IS EXPERIENCED.

Neisha nods.

Geser says, THE TALL ONE IS FOR ALESHA, AS
SHE IS THE TALLEST.
AND THE SMALLER ONE IS FOR
JOCELYN.

One of the girls giggles nervously.

Geser says, LET'S GET YOU ON THE HORSES.

Jocelyn heads towards her horse.

Karim narrates, 12-YEAR-OLD JOCELYN IS
NOT AFRAID OF TAKING HITS, AS
ONE OF THE TOP BOXERS OF HER
AGE IN THE COUNTRY.

Jocelyn punches boxing mitts a man wears.

Karim narrates, BUT IF SHE WANTS TO AVOID BEING
BATTERED AND BRUISED BY HER
HORSE, SHE NEEDS IT TO BE
COMFORTABLE WITH HER.

Geser helps Jocelyn onto her horse.

Geser says, HOO-PA!

Camille says, WELL DONE, JOCELYN.

Geser says, OKAY.

Camille says, SUITS YOU.
NEISHA, YOUR TURN.

Neisha climbs onto her horse.

Geser says, OKAY.

Karim narrates, 14-YEAR-OLD NEISHA IS A
CHAMPION SHOWJUMPER BACK HOME
IN WALES.
SO FAR, SHE SEEMS HAPPY ENOUGH,
BUT WILL SHE BE ABLE TO BOND
WITH A SEMI-WILD HORSE?

Jocelyn rides a horse as it jumps over a beam. Alesha climbs onto her horse.

She says, OOH...

Camille says, NICE ONE, ALESHA.
PERFECT.

Karim narrates, 15-YEAR-OLD ALESHA CAN RUN
A 100 METRES IN A STAGGERING
12.8 SECONDS.

Alesha runs on a track.

Karim narrates, SHE'S NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO
MATCH THE SAME PACE ON HER
HORSE UNTIL THEY GET MUCH MORE
USED TO EACH OTHER.

Geser leads Alesha’s horse.

Alesha says, OH, LIKE THAT, OKAY.

Karim narrates, SO FAR, THE HORSES SEEM TO
BE ACCEPTING THEM.
NOW, THEY NEED TO RIDE THEM
SLOWLY FOR A WHILE, SO THE
HORSES GET USED TO THEM BEING
THERE.

People slowly lead the girls horses.

Camille whispers, THEY LOOK A BIT SCARED, TO BE
HONEST.

Bilguun leads Jocelyn’s horse.

Camille says, I DON'T BLAME THEM.
I MEAN, THESE HORSES ARE WILD.
I THINK ALESHA IS GOOD AT
PUTTING ON A BRAVE FACE, BUT
SHE'S GOT THE BIGGEST HORSE; I
THINK SHE'S SCARED.
I'D BE TERRIFIED.

Geser leads Alesha’s horse.

(Enthusiastic music plays)

A man rides a horse while holding a bow and arrow.

Karim narrates, THE GIRLS ARE PROBABLY RIGHT
TO BE SCARED; THEY DON'T WANT A
SETBACK SO EARLY ON.

The man shoots an arrow at a target.

Karim narrates, BUT THEY HAVE GOT SOME SERIOUS
WORK TO DO BEFORE THEY GET
ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE SKILLS A
MONGOLIAN RIDER HAS.

The man slides off a horse mid run so that his feet just touch the ground. He bounces off the ground and pulls himself back up onto the horse.

Camille says, NEISHA LOOKS PRETTY
COMFORTABLE; I MEAN YOU'D
EXPECT IT 'CAUSE SHE'S A SHOW
JUMPER, BUT I'M NOT GOING TO SAY
SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE'S CHILLING.
SO, GESER HOW HAVE THEY GOT ON?

Geser speaks Mangolian. A person translates for him.

Geser says, IT SEEMS
LIKE THE GIRLS ARE PRETTY BRAVE
AND NOT AFRAID OF THE HORSES,
WHICH IS GOOD.

Karim narrates, NOW, THEY'RE BUILDING
TRUST WITH THEIR HORSE HOSTS,
THERE'S ANOTHER LITTLE PLAN TO
HELP BRING THEM CLOSER
TOGETHER.

Camille asks, ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE THEM
NAMES?

Alesha says, MINE'S CALLED TYRONE.

Camille says, PERFECT CHOICE.
HELLO, TYRONE, REALLY NICE TO
MEET YOU.

Karim narrates, TYRONE?!

Jocelyn says, WAS THINKING OF CALLING IT
DAVE.

Camille says, DAVE, ANOTHER GOOD ONE.
NEISHA?

Neisha says, PRINCE HARRY THE HORSE.

Camille says, PRINCE HARRY, QUITE A REGAL
HORSE.

Neisha says, I DO KIND OF FEEL A LITTLE
BIT OF PRESSURE BECAUSE EVERYONE
LIKE KNOWS I DO HORSE RIDING AT
HOME, SO THEY EXPECT ME TO DO
WELL.

Karim narrates, PRESSURE'S RIGHT.
SHOW JUMPING IS ONE THING.
MONGOLIAN RIDING IS ANOTHER.
EVEN FOR HER, IT'S GOING TO BE
A REALLY TOUGH WEEK.
NEISHA'S HORSE SEEMS A BIT
NERVOUS ABOUT IT, TOO.

Neisha’s horse urinates.

Canille says, BIG WEE!

Karim narrates, BETTER OUT THAN IN.

(Laughter)

Karim narrates, STILL, AT THE END OF THEIR
FIRST BONDING SESSION, NOBODY
WAS THROWN OFF, SO THEIR FIRST
HURDLE IS JUMPED.
JUST A FEW MORE TO GO.

Alesha rides her horse as it runs across a field.

Karim narrates, IN THE MEANTIME, THERE COULD
BE ANOTHER SCARY ANIMAL TO GET
TO GRIPS WITH.

Camille and the girls gather in a Ger with Geser and members of the Byambaa family. They all sit around a small table.

Camille says, IT'S DINNER TIME.
WHAT'S ON THE MENU?

A person pulls a lid off a large pot. A person translates for a person speaking Mongolian.

The woman says, WE HAVE,
SHEEP'S HEAD!

Karim narrates, WAIT.
DID I HEAR THAT RIGHT?

Sheep’s heads boil in the pot.

Camille says, SHEEP'S HEAD?

Karim narrates, OOH, LOOKS LIKE I DID.

Jocelyn says, WHEN THE SHEEP'S HEAD CAME ON
THE TABLE, I THOUGHT IT WAS A
JOKE, BUT THEN I FOUND OUT IT
WAS ACTUALLY REAL, THAT WE WERE
GOING TO EAT IT

Neisha says, YOU CAN SEE HIS
TEETH.

Jocelyn says, YEAH.

Two sheep heads are on a plate on the table. Their teeth stick out.

Jocelyn says, YOU CAN SEE, LIKE, THE EYE...

Alesha says, WHERE THE EYE WAS.

Jocelyn says, YEAH.

Neisha says, IT WAS JUST LIKE THERE, LIKE
LOOKING AT ME WITH ITS TEETH AND
EVERYTHING HANGING OUT.

Karim narrates, IT MIGHT LOOK ODD, BUT FOR A
NOMAD FAMILY, SHEEP HEAD'S AS
COMMON AS SPAG BOL IS FOR US.
UNLESS YOU'RE VEGETARIAN, LIKE
CAMILLE, IN WHICH CASE SPAG
BOL'S NOT THAT COMMON, I GUESS.
BUT, BUT POINT STANDS.
STOP SPLITTING HAIRS.
TALKING OF SPLITTING...

Gantumur cuts through the middle of one of the heads and splits it open.

Karim narrates, OOH!

Camille says, OH!

Gantumur grins.

Neisha says, YOU LOOK SCARED.

Alesha says, AT HOME, I REALLY L LIKE
LAMB.
I DON'T HAVE IT TOO OFTEN,
BUT IT'S PROBABLY ONE OF MY
FAVOURITE MEATS.
SO, I REALLY DID WANT TO TRY IT,
BUT IT'S JUST THE FACT IT WAS A
HEAD.

Neisha asks, IS THAT IT'S TONGUE?

Gantumur says, YEAH.

Gantumur speaks in Mangolian. A persons translates for him.

Gantumur says, RIGHT,
LET'S EAT.

Gantumur passes a piece of the meat to Camille.

Camille says, THANK YOU.

People speak in Mongolian.

Camille asks, IS NOW A GOOD TIME I TELL HIM
I'M A VEGETARIAN?

Neisha laughs.

Jocelyn says, YEAH.

Karim narrates, OH, CAMILLE, YOU'VE
PULLED THAT ONE OUT THE BAG
JUST IN TIME!

Neisha takes a piece of meat from Gantumur. Gantumur hands a piece to Jocelyn.

Jocelyn says, THANK YOU.

A person translates for Geser.

Geser says, THIS TONGUE IS REALLY TASTY.

Camille asks, REALLY?

Karim narrates, NOW, I'M CONFUSED
HERE.
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE SHEEP'S
TONGUE ENDS AND YOUR OWN TONGUE
STARTS?
YOU COULD END UP EATING YOUR
OWN HEAD IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL.

Jocelyn says, I'LL TRY A TINY BIT.

Camille says, JOCELYN'S GOING TO TRY A TINY
BIT.

Jocelyn eats a small piece of the meat. She looks unsure.

Camille says, SHE'S EATING IT.

Neisha asks, DOES IT TASTE OF
LAMB?

Jocelyn says, IT'S QUITE CHEWY.
IT TASTES A LITTLE BIT LIKE
LAMB.

Camille says, DOES IT?

Jocelyn eats another small piece.

She says, I WAS QUITE, LIKE, PROUD
THAT I TRIED IT.
I WAS QUITE NERVOUS, IN CASE,
LIKE, I SPAT IT OUT, BUT IT WAS
ACTUALLY ALL RIGHT.

Neisha says, IT DOES MAKE ME A BIT WORRIED
ABOUT THE FOOD THIS WEEK, THAT
I'M GOING TO BE HUNGRY, BUT
HOPEFULLY IT WON'T ALL BE SHEEP
AND COW'S HEAD.

(Dramatic music plays)

Karim narrates, STILL TO COME THIS
WEEK...

Camille kneels beside a horse’s back leg.

She says, I'M A BIT SCARED IT'S GONNA
KICK ME.

Karim narrates, ...CAMILLE FINDS AN ODD USE
FOR A HORSE...

Camille milks a horse.

She says, OH, A BIT CAME OUT.
DID YOU SEE THAT?
I GOT IT!
YEAH, I'M MILKING A HORSE!

Karim narrates, ...WHILE THE GIRLS TRY TO
CRAM A LIFETIME OF NOMADIC
EXPERIENCE...

The girls throw lassos at poles and shoot arrows at targets.

Jocelyn cheers, YEAH!

Karim narrates, ...INTO JUST A FEW DAYS.
HOW WILL THEY GET ON...

Camille cheers, COME ON, NEISHA!

Karim narrates, ...WITH JUST A WEEK TO BEAT
THE MONGOLIAN NOMADS?

Presented by Camille Scan and Karim Zeroual.
