(Music playing)

Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom with two children. One child has long black hair and the other child has short blonde hair.

Mandisa says, ONE OF MY FAVOURITE ANIMALS IS A GIRAFFE. WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT GIRAFFES?

The black-haired child says, GIRAFFES HAVE LONG NECKS.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT! THEY HAVE LOOOOOONNNNNNG...

(Slide whistle)

Mandisa says, NECKS!

Mandisa holds up a crafted giraffe.

Mandisa says, YOU CAN MAKE A GIRAFFE WITH A LONG NECK USING A CARDBOARD TUBE. WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE ONE OF YOUR OWN?

Both children say, YEAH!

Mandisa says, OK, LET'S GO GET WHAT WE NEED.

(Music playing)

Mandisa and the children stand up. They hurry around the playroom, gathering supplies.

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED GOOGLY EYES, BROWN PAINT, YELLOW AND BROWN CONSTRUCTION PAPER AND A CARDBOARD TUBE.

(Bell chiming)

Mandisa and the children sit back at the table, with the craft supplies in front of them.

(Music playing)

Mandisa asks, WHAT CAN WE USE TO MAKE OUR GIRAFFE'S LONG NECK?

The children pick up cardboard tubes.

The black-haired child says, THESE!

The blonde-haired child says, THESE!

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT, OUR CARDBOARD TUBE. CONSTRUCTION PAPER THAT WE'RE GOING TO USE TO WRAP AROUND OUR CARDBOARD TUBES. THAT'S RIGHT, COLETTE, COVER YOUR CONSTRUCTION PAPER ALL IN GLUE.

Colette uses a glue stick.

Mandisa says, AND THEN YOU CAN WRAP IT AROUND.

(Music playing)

Mandisa says, OK, AND THEN YOU CAN WRAP IT AROUND.

Mandisa helps the blonde-haired child wrap yellow construction paper around a tube.

Mandisa says, THEN ROLL IT. OKAY, NOW IT'S TIME TO MAKE OUR GIRAFFE'S...

The children say, FACE!

Mandisa says, COLETTE, CAN YOU TAKE ONE HEAD. AND THEN THERE'S ONE MOUTH FOR YOU, COLETTE. THERE'S ONE FOR YOU, CONNOR.

Mandisa gives cut bits of brown paper to the children.

Mandisa says, WE'RE GOING TO GLUE THE BROWN MOUTH TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR CIRCLE. LET'S GLUE ON OUR GIRAFFE'S EARS.

Colette says, NOW THE EARS.

Colette glues pieces of yellow paper.

Mandisa says, THESE LITTLE GUYS ON THE GIRAFFE LOOK LIKE ANTLERS, BUT THEY'RE ACTUALLY CALLED OSSICONES. WE ARE GOING TO MAKE THE LITTLE CIRCLES ON TOP OF OUR OSSICONES. OK, TO MAKE THE LITTLE CIRCLES, WE'RE GOING TO USE A MINI-CIRCLE PUNCH.

Mandisa helps Colette use the circle punch.

Mandisa says, PRESS DOWN. OK, LET'S SEE IF WE HAVE SOME CIRCLES. THERE YOU GO. WE'VE GOT TWO LITTLE CIRCLES.

Connor uses the circle punch.

(Music playing)

Mandisa says, OUR GIRAFFE FACES ARE ALMOST DONE, BUT WHAT ELSE DO WE NEED?

Colette says, THE NOSE AND THE MOUTH.

Mandisa asks, AND THE...

Colette says, GOOGLY EYES.

Mandisa says, I HAVE A BIG BOWL OF GOOGLY EYES RIGHT HERE. CAN YOU CHOOSE TWO FOR ME, COLETTE?

Colette takes two eyes out of a bowl. Connor glues eyes.

Mandisa says, WE HAVE TO DRAW ON A LITTLE NOSE AND A SMILE.

Colette says, HMM, SMILE AND HIS MOUTH.

Connor and Colette use markers to draw on construction paper.

Mandisa says, NOW, CONNOR, YOU CAN GLUE YOUR HEAD ONTO YOUR GIRAFFE'S BODY.

Connor says, NOW I'M PUTTING MY FACE ON.

Mandisa says, OK.

(Music playing)

Mandisa says, OK, YOUR GIRAFFES ARE LOOKING SO GREAT, BUT THEY'RE MISSING ONE THING!

The children say, THE SPOTS! SPOTS!

Mandisa says, OK, I HAVE SOME BROWN PAINT HERE. DIP YOUR SPONGES IN THE PAINT AND THEN MAKE LITTLE CIRCLES SPOTS ALL OVER YOUR GIRAFFE.

The children dab brown paint on the yellow tubes.

Connor says, YEAH.

Colette says, I AM DONE MINE. THANK YOU.

Mandisa asks, SHOULD WE MAKE OUR GIRAFFES HAVE LONG, LONG NECKS?

The children hold their finish crafts.

Colette says, YEAH.

Connor says, BRR!

Mandisa and the children lift the giraffes in the air.

Mandisa says, OK. UP, UP, UP, UP. OH, LOOK HOW TALL MY GIRAFFE IS, MY LONG, LONG NECK.
