[Upbeat music plays]

Text reads, “TVOkids” and “Riverbank Pictures” “Original.”

[Child giggles]

Text reads, “TVO Presents.”

[Happy music plays]

Mandisa wears her long black hair pulled away from her face. She smiles as she holds up a cardboard robot and a paper bag decorated as a fox puppet. Text above her reads, “Curious Crafting.”

[Boing]

Mandisa holds a paper ice cream cone. She wears blue denim overalls over a long-sleeved blue-grey shirt.

Mandisa says, I HAVE A
YUMMY TREAT.

[Chime]

Mandisa asks, NIA, WHAT'S YOUR
FAVOURITE TREAT?

Nia wears a pink sweater. She wears her long dark brown hair in a bun at the back of her head.

Nia says, ICE CREAM.

A boy with short dark brown hair wears a red sweater. He sits on a chair across from Nia at a small round table.

The boy says, CHOCOLATE
ICE CREAM.

Mandisa asks, OH! WOULD YOU
LIKE TO MAKE AN ICE CREAM
CONE LIKE THIS?

Nia nods and says, YEAH!

Mandisa says, ALL RIGHT.
LET'S GET OUR SUPPLIES.

Mandisa, Nia, and the boy gather supplies from around a room.

[Slide whistles, chimes, whoosh, scraping, upbeat music plays]

Mandisa says, WE'RE GOING
TO NEED POM POMS, PAPER
PLATES, TISSUE PAPER, CONFETTI,
BROWN PAINT, A POTATO MASHER,
CARDBOARD, AND DON'T
FORGET GLUE.

OK, WE HAVE ALL OUR SUPPLIES.

WHAT CAN WE USE TO MAKE THE
TOP OF OUR ICE CREAM CONE?

Nia holds up a round, white paper plate.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT,
A PAPER PLATE.

An animated green crayon draws a checkmark.

[Chime]

Mandisa says, THERE YOU GO, JAXON.
THERE'S A PAPER PLATE FOR YOU.

YOU'RE GOING TO PUT GLUE ALL
OVER YOUR PAPER PLATE.

Nia and Jaxon, the boy wearing the red shirt, squeeze glue out of bottles.

Nia says, I CAN DO IT.

Mandisa says, AND THEN STICK
DOWN YOUR TISSUE PAPER.

Nia says, I'M FAST AT DOING
THE GLUE.

Jackson says, GRAB THE PAPER.

Mandisa asks, JAXON, DO
YOU WANT TO ADD SOME MORE
TISSUE PAPER?

Jaxon says, NOPE, IT'S TOO MUCH.

Mandisa says, YOU CAN ADD SOME
SPRINKLES TO YOUR ICE CREAM CONE.

[Chimes]

Mandisa says, GOOD! GOOD JOB.

Jaxon asks, SEE.

Mandisa says, OK.

Mandisa asks, WHAT'S THE LAST
THING WE NEED TO ADD TO OUR
ICE CREAM?

[Horn]

Nia says, CHERRY.

Mandisa says, A CHERRY.
I HAVE TWO BIG RED POM POMS
FOR YOU TO ADD AS CHERRIES
TO YOUR ICE CREAM.

THERE'S ONE FOR YOU, NIA,
AND ONE FOR YOU, JAXON,
AND YOU CAN ADD IT
WITH SOME GLUE.

Nia and Jaxon each glue a large red pom pom to their ice cream.

Animated eyes look from one ice cream to the other.

[Ding]

Mandisa says, IT'S TIME TO
MAKE OUR ICE CREAM CONE.

[Woo hoo]

Jaxon says, I GOT A
YUMMY TREAT.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT,
YOU HAVE YOUR CARDBOARD
TRIANGLE IN THE SHAPE OF A
CONE, AND I'M GOING TO BRING
OUT SOME BROWN PAINT.

[Scratching, happy music plays]

She says, AND I HAVE A POTATO
MASHER THAT HAS A WAFFLE CONE
PATTERN ON IT. WE'RE GOING TO
STAMP OUR CONE TO MAKE IT
LOOK LIKE A WAFFLE CONE.

ARE YOU EXCITED?

Jaxon says, YEAH.

Mandisa says, OK.

YOU CAN STAMP YOUR ICE
CREAM CONE. GOOD.

Jaxon presses the potato masher into a small bowl of paint. He presses it down on his cardboard triangle, creating a waffle pattern. Nia does the same with her triangle. Animated eyes watch them work.

[Slide whistle]

Mandisa says, OK, TIME TO
ATTACH YOUR ICE CREAM TO
THE CONE.

SO, JAXON, YOU CAN PUT SOME
GLUE RIGHT HERE ON TOP OF
YOUR CONE.

[Chime]

She says, YEAH.
GOOD JOB, OK, JAXON,

YOU CAN GLUE YOUR ICE CREAM
TO YOUR CONE NOW. GOOD.

Jaxon uses his fists to press the paper plate to the triangle cone.

[Thump, thump]

Jaxon says, MASH IT ALL IN.

Mandisa says, ALL FINISHED,
THESE ICE CREAM CONES LOOK
SO DELICIOUS.

Jaxon says, ME TOO!
ALL FINSIHED, THESE ICE
CREAM CONES ARE DELICIOUS.

Mandisa says, ICE CREAM
PARTY TIME! LET'S DANCE!
COME ON NIA.

Jaxon, Nia and Mandisa dance.

Jaxon says, ICE CREAM PARTY!
ICE CREAM PARTY!

Mandissa says, YEAH!
