An animated sun shines brightly as a plane flies through the sky. An owl sits on a tree branch beside host Mandisa, who waves. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated ladybug lands on a flower beside Mandisa. A bus drives down a street as Mandisa walks down a path. Mandisa wears a fox hand puppet crafted out of a paper bag and holds a cardboard robot. Mandisa smiles.

A title reads, Curious Crafting.

Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom wearing denim overalls over a white shirt. Two children run to the table carrying cardboard boxes. One child has long black hair in pigtails and wears a brown shirt, the other child has short black hair and wears a red and black shirt.

Mandisa says, WE COULD RECYCLE THESE
CARDBOARD BOXES.
BUT WOULDN'T IT BE MORE FUN TO
MAKE A CRAFT?

Both children cheer, YEAH!

Mandisa asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK WE
COULD MAKE?

Mandisa pulls a similar cardboard box out that looks like a fire truck.

The child with pigtails says, FIRETRUCK!

The child with short hair says, A TRUCK!

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT, A FIRETRUCK.
LET'S GO GET OUR SUPPLIES.

Mandisa and the children leave the table. They children collect craft supplies.

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED RED PAINT
AND A FOAM PAINTBRUSH,
A CARDBOARD BOX.
SQUEEZE BOTTLE CAPS.
CONSTRUCTION PAPER,
A BOTTLE OF GLUE AND
A GLUE STICK.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children and their boxes.

Mandisa says, OK, WHAT COLOUR IS A
FIRE TRUCK?

Both children cheer, RED!

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.
LET'S PAINT OUR FIRE
TRUCK RED.

Mandisa places two bowls of red paint on the table.

She says, I HAVE SOME RED PAINT FOR
YOU HERE.

The child with pigtails paints their cardboard box with a foam paintbrush.

Mandisa says, ELLIE, WHAT SOUND DOES A FIRE
TRUCK MAKE?

Ellie, the child with pigtails, says, WEE WOO, WEE WOO!

The short haired child paints their cardboard box.

Mandisa says, LUCKILY, WE WORE PAINTING
CLOTHES TODAY.

The children continue painting their boxes in a time lapse. Mandisa and the children sit at the table with painted boxes.

Mandisa says, OK, OUR BOXES ARE ALL DRY.
LET'S ADD THE...

Ellie cheers, FIRETRUCK!

The short haired child cheers, WHEELS!

Mandisa says, THE WHEELS.
LET'S ADD THE WHEELS.
CAN YOU GLUE THE WHITE CIRCLES
TO YOUR BLACK SURFACE TO
MAKE THE TIRES?

Ellie spreads glue onto a black circle paper cut out.

Ellie asks, OVER HERE?

Mandisa says, YEAH.

She holds Ellie’s painted cardboard box. Ellie glues on the wheel.

Mandisa says, GLUE YOUR WHEEL ONTO YOUR
FIRE TRUCK.

The short haired child glues their white circles onto the black cut outs. Ellie glues the glued another wheel onto the cardboard box.

Mandisa asks, WHAT SHOULD WE ADD NEXT?

The short haired child cheers, A LADDER!

Mandisa says, THE LADDER.
LET'S BUILD A LADDER OUT OF
CONSTRUCTION PAPER.

Mandisa helps the short haired child spread glue onto strips of black paper.

Mandisa says, ADD SOME GLUE ALONG HERE…

Mandisa helps Ellie with the glue.

Mandisa says, …AND
THEN YOU'RE GOING TO
ADD THE STEPS TO YOUR LADDER
LIKE THAT.

The short haired child cheers, LET'S BUILD!

The children work on making ladders with the black strips of paper.

Mandisa says, NOW, LET'S GLUE OUR LADDER TO
OUR FIRETRUCK.

The short haired child cheers, YEAH!

Mandisa says, THERE YOU GO.

The short haired child spreads glue onto their cardboard box.

Mandisa says, YEAH, YOU WANT TO GLUE JUST UP
ON THE TOP.

Mandisa helps the children glue their ladders onto their boxes.

The short haired child asks, ANOTHER LADDER?

Mandisa says, ANOTHER LADDER.

The short hair child asks, WHY?

Mandisa says, SO YOU HAVE TWO LADDERS.
WHAT DO WE WANT TO ADD TO OUR
FIRETRUCKS NEXT?

Ellie says, WINDOWS.

Mandisa and the short haired child say, WINDOWS.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.
OK, I HAVE SOME WHITE
CONSTRUCTION PAPER HERE
AND YOU CAN GLUE DOWN THREE
WINDOWS, ONE ON EACH SIDE.

The short haired child says, OK.

Mandisa says, OK, AND WE NEED YOUR GLUE.

The short haired child says, THAT'S EASY.

Ellie glues a construction paper window onto their fire truck.

Mandisa says, GOOD JOB, ELLIE.

The short haired child glues windows onto their truck.

Mandisa says, OK, WE HAVE TWO MORE THINGS TO
ADD TO OUR FIRETRUCKS.

The short haired child points to yellow paper cut outs on Mandisa’s fire truck.

The child says, WE NEED, WE
NEED THESE.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT, A LITTLE BUMPER,
LET'S ADD A YELLOW BUMPER TO
YOUR FIRE TRUCK.
THERE YOU GO.
THERE'S YOUR YELLOW BUMPER.

Mandisa hands yellow cut outs to each child.

The short haired child says, I'M ALMOST DONE.

Ellie asks, DOES IT GO
RIGHT HERE?

Ellie holds a yellow cut out below a window on the front of the firetruck craft.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.
IT'S GOING TO BE YOUR
BUMPER, ELLIE.
OK, THE LAST THING WE'RE GOING
TO ADD ARE THE...

Both children cheer, …LIGHTS!

Mandisa says, RIGHT!
WE'RE GOING TO ADD SOME SQUEEZE
CAPS FOR OUR LIGHTS.

Ellie squirts glue onto the top of their firetruck. The short haired boy presses a squeeze top down onto the top of their firetruck. Ellie glues the squeeze caps onto their truck.

Mandisa says, WOW, THESE FIRE TRUCKS
LOOK GREAT.
SHOULD WE TAKE THEM FOR
A DRIVE?

The short haired child says, YEAH.

Ellie says, RIGHT HERE.

Mandisa and the kids play with their firetruck.

Ellie says, THERE'S AN EMERGENCY!

The short haired child says, I WILL SAVE THE DOG.

Mandisa says, OK!
