Sir Feathaz & Lady Feathaz are noisy and gregarious Common Starlings. On their track Mur-Mur-Mur-Muration, they show us that they are very sociable birds, and experts at mesmerising aerial displays. From a distance their iridescent feathers look black but look closer and you'll see they are purple and green. Starling beaks are yellow but when you look closer you can tell male as females apart by blue and pink edging along their beaks. Starlings are also excellent mimickers, a special skill that MC Sir & Lady Feathaz are only too happy to show off. Imitating a human voice, car alarms, electric guitars for the camera.

Hodge wants to be more independent, but Eddie never lets him do jobs on his own. So when Wilson startles Hodge, causing him to accidentally break a junction box, Hodge decides to deal with it himself. Using the crane, he jams the wires back in and shuts the doors. Easy. But then strange things start happening. Lights and signals stop working, Vee malfunctions and chuggers are sent to the wrong destinations. Hodge and Wilson realise it must have something to do with the box they broke! If Eddie finds out, he'll never trust Hodge to do anything on his own again - but if Hodge doesn't tell him, it could take Eddie days to figure out what's wrong. Hodge finally musters up his courage and confesses. A relieved Eddie fixes the box. Eddie promises he'll let Hodge do more jobs by himself and Hodge promises to tell Eddie straightaway when things go wrong.

With the Pea-Rexes on her horns, Ginger tries to reach a honeysuckle. But she accidentally gains the attention of the Bananaraptors, and has to abandon the mission, running off across the tundra with the Bananaraptors in pursuit. They're chased to the waterhole, the Bananaraptors believing they've got Ginger cornered - but she has a trick up her sleeve, and jumps into the water. Turns out Tricarrotops are excellent swimmers! With the baby Pea-Rexes staying high and dry in her protruding tail fronds, she runs along the bottom, encountering a huge Watermelonsuchus as she goes. A fellow herbivore, the creature wants to play with her, blowing a huge air-bubble underwater for Ginger and the Pea-Rexes to travel underwater in. The Watermelonsuchus leads them on an underwater journey, where they encounter majestic creatures and breathtaking scenes; they even bump into the baby Watermelonsuchus they saved during the drought. In its excitement, the baby unwittingly launches itself from the water, its sheer size producing a huge wave as it lands, which sends Ginger sprawling onto the shore... at the feet of the Bananaraptors. It looks like Ginger and the Pea-Rexes are toast, but the baby Watermelonsuchus' mother seems to remember Ginger and the Pea-Rexes too, and comes to the rescue, firing seeds at the Bananaraptors and allowing Ginger to escape back to the safety of home base.

It's the time of year when the Cornosaurolophus pops its skin for fresh regrowth. The Corns gather around the base of the volcanoes, nestled amongst the hot lava flows which trigger the popping. But one young Corn, called Pop can't pop. Ginger suggests standing next to hotter flows, but this doesn't work either. Then Ginger suggests going up to the top of the volcano! That's the hottest place for sure. Pop doesn't want to go alone so Ginger and the Peas tag along for support. It's a hot and arduous trip, passing grumpy Potatodons traversing the volcano like skilled mountain goats. At the top, Pop pops! It's a success! But the Volcano looks like it is going to erupt! They need to get down fast and what better way than dislodging a boulder (with the help of a friendly Potatodon) and riding it down the lava flow to the bottom. Only problem is the rock is literally dissolving in the heat of the lava so they might not make it!

When the family finally makes it through the very long line Daddy realizes he's left his wallet in the luggage room. By the time they return with the money, all the tickets are sold out. As the kittens try to figure out how to cross to the other shore, the captain announces he will be giving away free ferry tickets to the winner of the music talent contest. The family get their instruments and perform a song about home sweet home. The kittens learn that nothing can brighten up a bad day like a good song!

However, before Wilson can try it, Action Chugger is called away on an emergency. Wilson finds some jetpacks in the loading yard and decides to have a go with them. How hard can it be? As he soars above Chuggington he realizes that he has no idea how to control the jetpack. Action Chugger returns and saves him. Wilson is embarrassed - flying looks so easy in the movies. Action Chugger tells him that real life isn't like the movies. Wilson learns that before you can do something that is potentially dangerous, you must put in a lot of hard work and practice.
