An animated logo reads: Let’s Go For A Walk

Hamza is on the porch of a cabin in the woods.

Hamza says, HI THERE, I'M RANGER HAMZA. YOU KNOW I LOVE WORKING OUTDOORS. THERE'S SO MANY INTERESTING THINGS TO SEE. THIS MORNING I WAS SAT HERE EATING MY BREAKFAST AND I SAW A SQUIRREL EATING SOME NUTS AND A BIRD PECKING ON A WORM. NOW THAT I'M FULL I'M GOING ON A WALK WITH THE RAMBLERS TO THE LAKE AT THE PARK TO FEED THE BIRDS. DO YOU WANNA COME ALONG? COME ON. LET'S GO FOR A WALK.

An animated landscape appears.

Two children walk on a sidewalk with two women. The children wear orange shirts.

Hamza says, TODAY'S RAMBLERS ARE FAITH.

Faith has dark hair in braids.

Hamza says, AND CELIA.

Celia has light brown hair in pigtails.

An animated map appears.

Hamza says, WE'RE MEETING OUTSIDE THE PARK GATES AND WALKING TO THE POND TO FEED THE BIRDS TOGETHER. I WONDER WHAT WE'LL SEE ALONG THE WAY. HI RAMBLERS!

The Ramblers say, HI!

Hamza says, ARE YOU READY FOR A WALK?

The Ramblers say, YEAH!

Hamza says, COME ON THEN. LET'S SAY BYE TO MUM.

The Ramblers wave and say, BYE!

Hamza says, HOW YOU DOING, KIDS?

The children say, GOOD!

Hamza says, YEAH? WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING TODAY?

Celia says, FOXES.

Hamza says, UH HUH.

Faith says, WOLVES?

Hamza says, UH HUH.

Faith says, SQUIRRELS. BUTTERFLIES, BEES, WASPS.

Hamza says, WOW!

They walk to large metal gates.

Faith says, OH, LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIFUL GATES.

Hamza says, YEAH, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL. WOW!

Faith says, IT'S A LANTERN THINGYMABOBBY.

Celia says, YEAH.

Hamza says, YEAH, IT'S LIKE A LAMP.

The children say, YEAH.

Hamza says, WHY DO THEY HAVE A LAMP ON A GATE?

Celia says, I DON'T KNOW.

Faith says, IT'S SO PEOPLE CAN SEE AT NIGHT AND SEE THE BEAUTIFULNESS OF THEM PROBABLY.

Hamza says, ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, YEAH.

Faith says, AND SEE WHERE THEY'RE GOING.

Hamza says, YEAH, THAT IS EXACTLY RIGHT. IT'S THE LIGHT SO THAT WE CAN SEE ALL THE WAY INTO THE PARK, CAN'T WE? BUT IT SHOWS YOU THAT THIS IS THE GATE TO USE.

Faith says, LOOK THERE'S SOME PRETTY CANDLES KIND OF THING.

Hamza says, AT THE TOP HERE?

The children say, YEAH.

Animated lines outline metal candles.

Hamza points to a plaque.

Hamza says, SO, WHO'S THIS?

Celia and Faith say, VICTORIA!

Hamza says, THAT IS QUEEN VICTORIA!

Celia says, SHE LOOKS LIKE KINDA HAPPY SAD.

Hamza says, HAPPY SAD?

Celia says, IT'S WHEN YOU HAVE LIKE A STRAIGHT MOUTH. I'M QUEEN VICTORIA.

Hamza makes a face.

Hamza says, I'M REALLY HAPPY AT THE MOMENT. CAN'T YOU SEE?

(Laughing)

Hamza says, ALL THIS PLACE IS MINE.

(Giggling)

Hamza says, THAT'S FUNNY, ISN'T IT? SHALL WE GO INTO THE PARK?

The Ramblers say, YEAH!

Hamza says, COME ON THEN LET'S GO.

(Music playing)

IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY, ISN'T IT?

The Ramblers say, YEAH!

Hamza says, ABSOLUTELY.

A black bird is on the grass.

Celia says, A BIRD! I SEE A BIRD. A BLACK BIRD. A CROW.

Hamza says, YES! IN FACT, IT'S A JACKDAW. PART OF THE CROW FAMILY. I WONDER IF WE'LL SPOT ANY OTHER BIRDS ALONG THE WAY. KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN AND AT THE END I'LL TELL YOU WHAT THEY ARE.

A black and white bird is in a tree.

Hamza says, THERE'S ONE ALREADY. IT'S A MAGPIE. THAT'S INCREDIBLE.

Hamza and the children walk along a path in the park.

Celia says, I SEE ONE THERE.

Faith says, I THINK IT MIGHT BE A FOX.

Celia says, THE SUN LIKE DANCES ON THE TREETOPS.

Hamza says, THE RAMBLERS HAVE A FUN WAY TO CHECK IF THE SUN IS PEEKING THROUGH THE TREES.

Celia closes her eyes.

Celia says, I FEEL IT ON MY CHEEK!

Hamza says, YEAH! SO, DO I. CAN YOU FEEL HOW WARM IT IS? AND IT'S BRIGHT TOO. HOW ABOUT YOU, FAITH DO YOU WANNA TRY? AND TELL ME WHEN YOU'RE OUT OF THE SUN. READY?

Faith closes her eyes. She steps forward.

Faith says, OUT.

Hamza says, HOW DO YOU KNOW?

Faith says, BECAUSE WHEN IT'S LIGHT IN YOUR EYES THEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN THE SUN BUT WHEN IT GETS A LITTLE BIT DARKER IT'S, YOU KNOW. YOU'RE NOT. TREES ALWAYS GROW INTO PLACES WHERE THEY FIND THE MOST WATER AND SUNLIGHT.

The children run along the path.

(Giggling)

Celia asks, CAN WE GO IN THE FOREST?

Hamza says, YEAH, LET'S GO IN THE FOREST. LET'S GO OVER HERE AND SEE WHAT'S IN THIS FOREST. AS TREES GROW THEIR TRUNKS GET THICKER. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO REACH AROUND A YOUNG TREE BUT AN OLD ONE WILL BE TRICKIER.

Celia and Faith wrap their arms around tree trunks.

Hamza says, I THINK I CAN GET MY HANDS AROUND THIS ONE. OH... OH NO! THIS ONE'S REALLY BIG.

Celia says, WE COULD CONNECT TOGETHER AND WORK AS A TEAM SO THAT WE CAN GET ROUND THE TREE.

Hamza says, THIS IS A GREAT IDEA, IF WE ALL HELP EACH OTHER WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO GIVE THIS TREE A HUG. YOU HOLD FAITH'S HAND ON THE OTHER SIDE, YOU READY?

Celia says, CAN YOU DO IT?

Hamza says, ARE YOU HOLDING HANDS?

Everyone joins hands in a circle around a tree.

The Ramblers say, YEAH!

Hamza says, YAY!

The Ramblers say, YAY!

Faith says, WE'RE HUGGING THE TREE.

Hamza says, WE'RE HUGGING THE TREE! WE'RE ALL HELPING EACH OTHER TO HUG THE TREE. CAN YOU SEE THIS ONE HAS GOT LIKE REALLY BIG BRANCHES?

Celia says, IT'S KINDA LIKE A STICK MAN WITHOUT THAT.

Hamza says, YEAH, IT'S GOT LIKE, THE BODY, RIGHT THERE? THEN HE'S GOT HIS ARM LIKE THIS.
ANOTHER ARM POINTING THAT WAY.

Celia and Faith raise their arms like the tree.

Hamza says, LIKE THAT. STICK MAN TREE. THAT'S BEAUTIFUL, ISN'T IT?

Celia says, YEAH.

An animated map appears.

Hamza says, WE'RE HALFWAY THROUGH OUR WALK TO FEED THE BIRDS. AND ALREADY WE'VE SEEN, THE BIG RED GATES, SUNLIGHT ON THE PATH. AND A STICK MAN TREE. I WONDER WHAT ELSE WE'LL SEE BEFORE WE REACH THE POND? AND REMEMBER KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR ANY BIRDS ALONG THE WAY.

Hamza and the children walk on the path.

Hamza says, LOOK AT THIS VIEW.

Faith says, WOAH.

A large garden is below them.

Celia says, I'VE NEVER BEEN TO THIS PLACE BEFORE.

Faith says, LOTS OF BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS. RED, WHITE, PINK, AND YELLOW.

Hamza says, YEAH. CAN YOU SEE.

Celia says, AND GREEN!

Hamza says, THAT'S RIGHT CELIA. THEY HAVE GREEN STEMS AND LEAVES.

Faith asks, CAN WE DOWN TO SEE IT?

Hamza says, YEAH, ABSOLUTELY LET'S GO.

They walk past bushes with berries.

Celia says, THESE ARE CALLED BLACKBERRIES.

Faith says, THEY SHOULD BE CALLED GREENBERRIES.

Celia says, I THINK THEY WILL TURN BLACK SOON.

Hamza says, THE RAMBLERS AND I MADE IT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO LOOK AT THE FLOWERS.

Faith says, THEY'RE SO BRIGHT BECAUSE THEY'RE HEALTHY AND STUFF AND THE DIFFERENT COLOURS ATTRACT THE BEES.

Hamza says, YES EXACTLY, SHALL WE TAKE A CLOSER LOOK?

The Ramblers say, YEAH.

Hamza takes magnifying glasses out of his backpack.

Celia says, OH, IT'S A MAGNIFYING GLASS.

Hamza says, HOW DID YOU KNOW? THERE'S ONE FOR YOU, AND THERE'S ONE FOR YOU, FAITH.

Faith says, THANK YOU.

Hamza says, YOU ARE MOST WELCOME. NOW, CAN YOU SEE HERE THIS IS THE POLLEN. AND THE BEES WHEN THEY COME TO DRINK THE NECTAR, THEY COLLECT A LITTLE BIT OF THE POLLEN AND THEY TAKE IT OVER TO THE OTHER PLANT AND THEN THEY DROP IT THERE.

Celia says, SO, THE PLANT WHAT DOESN'T HAVE POLLEN YOU PUT IT IN THERE AND THEN IT MAKES MORE FLOWERS?

Faith says, WHAT'S THIS?

Hamza says, EXACTLY. BUT WHO DOES IT?

Celia says, THE BEES.

Faith says, THE BEE.

Hamza says, THE BEES.

Faith says, AND, AND BUTTERFLIES.

Hamza says, AND THE BUTTERFLIES, AND ANYTHING ELSE? DO YOU KNOW?

Faith says, WASPS?

Celia says, IS THIS WHAT POLLEN LOOKS LIKE WHEN IT'S ALL TAKEN OFF?

Hamza says, YES, EXACTLY SO WHEN ALL THE POLLEN HAS BEEN TAKEN OFF IT LOOKS LIKE THIS CAN YOU SEE? DO YOU WANNA LOOK THROUGH YOUR MAGNIFYING GLASS? YOU COULD SAY THE FLOWERS AND THE BEES ARE BEST FRIENDS. THE FLOWERS MAKE FOOD FOR THE BEES AND THE BEES HELP THE NEW FLOWERS TO GROW.

An animated bee flies to a red flower.

(Buzzing)

(Music playing)

Hamza says, THERE'S LOT MORE TO SEE ON OUR WALK SO LET'S GET A MOVE ON. ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO!

Faith and Celia run.

Faith says, RACING CARS!

Hamza says, YOU HAVE TO STAY ON THE TRACK.

(Giggling)

Hamza says, YOU'RE TOO FAST! WAIT FOR ME. THAT'S IT.

An animated car races through the garden.

A child says, VROOM.

Celia and Faith skip along the path.

Celia says, I CAN SPOT THE POND.

Faith says, YEAH.

Hamza says, YEAH, THE POND.

Celia says, LOOK AT THE GREEN STUFF INSIDE.

Hamza says, SO, THE GREEN THING IS ALGAE. WHEN THE SUN HITS THE WATER IN THE POND,
THE LITTLE PLANTS GROW INTO BIGGER PLANTS, INTO ALGAE.

Faith says, OH.

Hamza says, YEAH.

Pigeons fly near the water.

Faith says, THERE'S A BLACK BIRD STANDING ON A STICK IN THE RIVER. IT'S PROTECTING ITS EGGS.

Hamza says, SO, IT'S GUARDING ITS EGGS, NOW DO YOU KNOW WHY IT'S IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WATER? SO THAT FOXES AND THE DOGS AND THE HUMANS CAN'T REACH IT. ISN'T THAT CLEVER?

Faith says, YES, BUT SOME HUMANS CAN SWIM.

Hamza says, THAT'S RIGHT BUT NOT MANY PEOPLE SWIM IN THIS POND, DO THEY?

Faith says, MMM MMM.

Hamza says, SO, THE NEST IS FAR AWAY BUT I'VE GOT A GOOD TRICK THAT WE CAN SEE A LITTLE BIT CLOSER.

The Ramblers say, BINOCULARS!

Hamza takes binoculars out of the backpack.

Hamza says, YES! THAT'S RIGHT. SO, I'VE GOT ONE FOR YOU AND ONE FOR YOU. SEE IF YOU CAN SPOT THE BIRDS.

Celia looks through green binoculars.

Celia says, I SEE ONE!

Hamza says, OH, I SEE IT TOO.

Faith says, IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOT A WHITE BEAK AND BLACK FEATHERS. THAT'S NOT A BLACK BIRD.

Hamza says, THAT'S NOT A BLACKBIRD, THAT'S CALLED A COOT.

Faith says, A COOT?

Hamza says, YEAH, CAN YOU SAY COOT?

Celia says, COOT!

Hamza says, YEAH. BUT COOTS AREN'T THE ONLY BIRDS ENJOYING LIFE AT THE POND.

Faith says, I CAN SEE SO MANY SWANS AND DUCKS.

Celia says, ITS FEET ARE REALLY REALLY BIG AND BLACK.

Hamza says, THAT'S RIGHT.

Celia says, AND ON THE TOES THEY'RE LIKE BIG FLIPPER THINGIES AND THAT CAN BE CONNECTING TO THE TOES. YEAH.

Hamza says, SO, IF WE ALL OPEN OUR HANDS LIKE THIS, THESE BITS ON THE SWAN IN BETWEEN THE FINGERS THEY HAVE A BIT OF SKIN THERE. SO, WHEN YOU CONNECT ALL OF THEM TOGETHER IT MAKES IT INTO A WEBBED FOOT. WHICH HELPS IT TO SWIM UNDER THE WATER.
LIKE US WEARING FLIPPERS AT THE BEACH.

Ducks are by the pond.

Hamza says, THESE BIRDS ARE LUCKY THEY HAVE FEATHERS TO KEEP THEM DRY. IT'S STARTING TO RAIN.

Faith says, THE SWANS' NECKS ARE BENDY.

The Ramblers wear orange raincoats.

Hamza says, FLAP YOUR WINGS!

The Ramblers wave their arms.

Celia says, AND WE CAN MAKE NOISE WITH YOUR WINGS BECAUSE OF OUR JACKETS.

Hamza says, YEAH, EXACTLY. IT'S JUST LIKE THE SWANS WHEN THEY FLAP THEIR WINGS, THEY MAKE A NOISE AS WELL. THEY GO "SSH" SSSH".

(Thunder)

Hamza says, OH, WHAT'S THAT? DID YOU HEAR THAT?

The Ramblers say, YEAH!

Hamza asks, WHAT WAS THAT?

Celia says, THUNDER.

Hamza says, YES!

Faith says, IT SOUNDS: BRRR BRRR DDD D DDDD.

Hamza asks, WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE: THUNDER OR LIGHTNING?

Faith says, THUNDER!

Celia says, LIGHTING!

Faith says, THUNDER MAKES SOUND AND...

Both say, LIGHTNING MAKES LIGHT!

Celia says, THAT'S LIKE A GIANT LIGHT IN THE SKY.

Hamza says, EXACTLY, YEAH LIKE A GIANT LIGHT IN THE SKY.

(Thunder)

An animated lightbulb appears in the sky.

Faith says, IT'S COMING FROM THERE.

Hamza says, THAT'S WHERE THE STORM'S COMING FROM ISN'T IT?

Celia asks, CAN WE GO OVER THERE?

Hamza says, LET'S HAVE A QUICK LOOK OVER THERE.

Celia says, COME ON!

Trees grow by the water.

Celia says, THERE'S LOTS OF STRANGE TREES.

Faith says, THIS ONE'S TIRED I THINK IT WANTS TO GO TO SLEEP.

Celia says, THIS HAIRY ONE IS FALLING OVER.

Faith says, THIS ONE'S LIKE AN OCTOPUS WITH A BIG MOUTH.

An animated pink octopus appears over a tree.

Pigeons are in a tree.

The animated map appears.

Hamza says, OH, WHAT A GREAT DAY WE HAD CAN ANYONE REMEMBER WHAT WE DID?
WE STARTED OUR WALK AT THE RED GATES.

Ramblers say, WOW! LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL GATE.

Hamza says, THEN SAW SUNLIGHT THROUGH THE TREETOPS.

Celia says, I FEEL IT ON MY CHEEK.

Hamza says, YEAH. SO DO I.

Hamza says, AND POSED LIKE STICK MAN TREE.

Hamza reaches out and say, HE'S GOT HIS ARM, LIKE THIS. LIKE THAT. STICK MAN TREE.

Hamza says, WE LEARNED WHY BEES LOVE FLOWERS.

Celia says, YOU PUT IT IN THERE AND THEN IT MAKES MORE FLOWERS.

Hamza says, EXACTLY.

Hamza says, WE SAW A COOT ON ITS NEST, FAR OUT ON THE POND.

Faith says, IT'S PROTECTING ITS EGGS.

Hamza says, SO, IT'S GUARDING ITS EGGS.

Hamza says, AND WE USED OUR BINOCULARS TO LOOK AT THE SWANS.

Faith says, ON THE TOES THEY'RE LIKE BIG FLIPPER THINGIES.

Celia says, AND THAT'S CONNECTING TO THE TOES.

Hamza says, NOW IT'S TIME TO FEED THE BIRDS. THERE'S LOTS OF BIRDS HERE. HOW MANY DID YOU SPOT ON OUR WALK TODAY?

Images of birds in the park.

Hamza says, WE STARTED WITH A JACKDAW. WE ALSO SAW A MAGPIE. SWANS. PIGEONS. COOTS. DUCKS. AND LOTS MORE.

Animated trees pop up.

Hamza says, WELL, I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE WALK TODAY, WE CERTAINLY DID. NEXT TIME YOU GO FOR A WALK, WHY DON'T YOU KEEP YOUR EYES AND EARS OPEN, AND YOU CAN HAVE AN ADVENTURE, TOO. BYE!

Celia and Faith wave and say BYE!

They toss seeds to the birds in the pond.
