A logo reads: CTC Presents

An animated town is on a green hill.

A narrator says, IN THIS LITTLE TOWN LIVES A KITTEN NAMED COOKIE…

An animated cat in a sailor hat sits in a boat on water. A cat in stocking cap is pulled off the ground by a kite.

The narrator continues, HIS BIG BROTHER, PUDDING, AND THEIR LITTLE SISTER, CANDY.

A cat wearing a red bow skips rope. The three cats stand together. More cats appear.

The narrator says, LOTS OF OTHER KITTENS LIVE HERE, TOO. COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING, KID-E-CATS.

A title reads: KID-E-CATS

All say, WE'RE CUTE!

Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER.

All say, ME-WOW!

An episode title reads: The Interview

The narrator says, THE INTERVIEW.

(Music playing)

It is daytime at the kittens’ house.

The narrator says, ONE DAY, MOMMY WAS EXPECTING A VISIT FROM A REPORTER. SHE WAS GOING TO GIVE AN INTERVIEW FOR THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER.

Mommy puts up drawings of clothing on the walls of her home office while the kittens watch.

Candy says, EVERYONE WILL READ MOMMY'S INTERVIEW IN THE NEWSPAPER!

Cookie says, I'VE GOT AN IDEA, WHY DON'T WE INTERVIEW MOMMY, TOO?

Candy says, LET'S INTERVIEW MOMMY AND SOMEONE ELSE, THEN WE CAN PRINT OUR OWN NEWSPAPER.

The kittens say, SO AWESOME!

The kittens sing, ME-WOW, ME-WOW, ME-WOW, ME-WOW!

Candy holds a notepad and a pencil while Candy points to flowers in pots on shelves in her house. Candy wears a yellow dress.

The narrator says, CANDY INTERVIEWED CUPCAKE.

Cupcake says, THIS FLOWER IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT THIS ONE'S EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL. AND THIS FLOWER IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL. BUT NOT AS BEAUTIFUL AS THIS ONE.

Pudding stands outside and holds a notebook.

Pudding asks, SO, SMUDGE, TELL US A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR HOBBIES.

Smudge holds up a skull mask.

Smudge says, WELL, I MADE THIS MASK OUT OF CARDBOARD, RIGHT? YA! I USED A CARDBOARD BOX FOR IT. IT WAS THE BOX THAT OUR TV CAME IN. UM... MY MOM LET ME USE HER SCISSORS.

(Sighing)

Cookie sits in Mommy’s office and presses a button on a phone. Mommy arranges small coats on stands.

(Beeping)

Cookie says, WE'RE RECORDING.

Mommy says, MY DESIGNS ARE MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHILDREN. I'M EXCITED ABOUT THESE NEW MULTI-COLOURED RAINCOATS. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS MODEL. THE RAINCOAT IS MADE OF A VERY SPECIAL FABRIC...

Cookie looks bored. His eye close.

(Snoring)

Cookie drops the phone.

(Beeping)

He jerks awake.

(Gasping)

Mommy continues, BECAUSE I'M USING ONLY NATURAL FIBRE FABRICS. COTTON AND FLAX AND THE LIKE.

Cookie sits at the dining room table with Candy and Pudding. Pudding works on a computer. Cookie plays the recording.

(Fast forwarding)

Mommy on the recording says, COTTON AND FLAX AND THE LIKE. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO SELECT THE COLOUR.

(Fast forwarding)

Mommy continues, BUT THE MOST INTERESTING THING IS THE CUT!

Cookie says, IT WASN'T INTERESTING AT ALL, AND IT WAS SO LONG.

Candy says, CUPCAKE'S WAS ALSO DULL. I SEE FLOWERS EVERY TIME I SHUT MY EYES.

Pudding says, UH, SMUDGE ALSO SAID LOTS AND LOTS OF SUPER BORING STUFF. SHOULD WE EVEN BOTHER PRINTING A NEWSPAPER WITH DULL INTERVIEWS?

(All sighing)

Cookie says, WE'LL PRINT THEM. WE JUST NEED TO MAKE THEM A LITTLE BIT MORE INTERESTING!

Candy says, WHAT IF WE WRITE THERE'S A WILD JUNGLE GROWING ALL OVER CUPCAKE'S HOUSE, AND SHE SWINGS FROM THE BRANCHES FOR FUN?

(Jungle noises)

Candy imagines Cupcake swinging through a jungle.

(Vocalizing)

Candy jumps on palms trees growing out of the windows of her house.

(Grunting)

Pudding imagines standing next to a big black square. Smudge stands on the other side.

Pudding says, AND WE CAN WRITE THAT SMUDGE LIVES IN A SUPER DARK ROOM LIKE THIS.

Pudding and Smudge walk into the dark square.

Smudge says, PUDDING!

(Gasping)

Smudge says, SIT ON MY SOFA.

Pudding asks, AND IT'S WHERE?

Smudge says, IT'S RIGHT THERE. THE BLACK SODA NEXT TO THE BLACK TABLE. UH...

(Grunting)

Pudding bumps into something in the dark.

Cookie images the kittens putting on raincoats.

Cookie narrates, YES, AND WHEN IT COMES TO MOMMY'S RAINCOATS, WE'LL WRITE THAT THEY MAKE KIDS INVISIBLE.

The kittens disappear so that only the raincoats are visible. They jump up and down in puddles.

Mommy says, THESE COATS ALSO MAKE MUD AND DIRT DISAPPEAR.

The fantasy ends and Pudding types on the computer.

(Typing)

Paper comes out of a printer.

(Whirring)

The narrator says, THE KITTENS PRINTED THEIR NEWSPAPERS ON DADDY'S PRINTER.

The kittens run outside and wave papers.

The kittens call, BRAND NEW NEWSPAPER! BRAND NEW NEWSPAPER!

A blue car drives up.

The narrator says, SUDDENLY, THE REPORTER ARRIVED TO INTERVIEW MOMMY.

The reporter gets out of the car. He is a grey cat and wears a blue suit and hat.

The reporter says, HELLO, THERE.

The kittens say, HELLO THERE.

The reporter says, A NEW NEWSPAPER? HOW INTERESTING.

The reporter takes a paper. Smudge and Cupcake run over and start reading. Mommy walks outside.

Mommy asks, HELLO THERE, ARE YOU THE REPORTER THEY SENT TO DO MY INTERVIEW?

The reporter says, YES, I AM, THESE INVISIBLE RAINCOATS OF YOURS ARE SURE TO BE A SENSATION. IT'LL BE ON THE FRONT PAGE. CHILDREN'S FASHION FUTURE HAS ARRIVED.

Mommy asks, UH, WHAT INVISIBLE RAINCOATS?

The reporter says, IN THIS ARTICLE, OR IS THERE SOME KIND OF MISTAKE IN THE REPORTING THERE?

(Chuckling)

The kittens glance at each other.

Cupcake says, THERE'S A BIG MISTAKE IN MY INTERVIEW. I HAVE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS, NOT AN OVERGROWN JUNGLE.

Smudge says, I TOLD YOU HOW TO SCARE SOMEONE, AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN MENTION IT! AND I DON'T LIVE IN A SUPER DARK, DARK ROOM.

Cookie says, YEAH, WELL, WE MADE A FEW THINGS UP TO MAKE THE INTERVIEWS A LITTLE MORE INTERESTING.

The reporter says, BUT EVERYONE FINDS INTERVIEWS INTERESTING BECAUSE THEY'RE ALWAYS WRITTEN TO TELL THE TRUTH.

Pudding says, OH, NO, WE SHOULDN'T HAVE MADE ALL THIS STUFF UP.

Candy says, I HAVE A REALLY GOOD IDEA.

(Music playing)

The reporter sits at the table in the house and types on the computer. Mommy shows him her coat, while Cupcake holds a flower and Smudge his mask.

The narrator says, THE KITTENS AND THE REPORTER TOGETHER WROTE AN ARTICLE FOR THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER. THEY CHOSE ONLY THE MOST INTERESTING FACTS.

A picture of Mommy and all the kittens is in a newspaper.

Daddy stands outside with Mommy and reads the newspaper.

Daddy says, WOW, YOUR INTERVIEWS WERE PUBLISHED IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER.

Smudge says, WHOA, IT'S COOL THAT CUPCAKE PLAYS A LULLABY FOR HER FLOWERS EVERY NIGHT.

(Playing keyboard)

Smudge imagines Cupcake playing the keyboard as flowers close their blossoms.

Cupcake says, AND NOW I KNOW WHY SMUDGE'S SPIDER JUMPS THE WAY IT DOES.

(Squeaking)

Cupcake pictures Smudge working a novelty toy spider. He makes it jump by squeezing a tube.

(Laughing)

Daddy says, AND I LOVE ALL THE PICTURES YOU DREW TO GO WITH MOMMY'S INTERVIEW.

Mommy says, ALL THE INTERVIEWS TURNED OUT TO BE INTERESTING AFTER ALL! THEY'RE ALSO TRUTHFUL, AND THAT'S THE BEST PART.

The kittens say, SO AWESOME!

The kittens sing, ME-WOW, ME-WOW, ME-WOW, ME-WOW!

The narrator says, AND SO, THE KID-E-CATS LEARNED THAT IN A GOOD INTERVIEW, TELLING THE TRUTH IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN USING YOUR IMAGINATION.
