[Cheerful music plays]

Black text on an orange background reads, “C.T.C. presents.” Lines of black and white dots extend from the text.

A path leads up a grassy hill to a town full of brightly coloured houses. Cookie, an orange tabby, wears a blue striped shirt and a blue sailor hat with a picture of an anchor on it. Pudding, an orange tabby, wears a blue shirt and hat. Candy, an orange tabby, wears a red dress and a red bow.

[Upbeat music plays]

A narrator says, IN THIS LITTLE TOWN
LIVES A KITTEN NAMED COOKIE,
HIS BIG BROTHER PUDDING,
AND THEIR LITTLE SISTER CANDY.

LOTS OF OTHER KITTENS LIVE
HERE TOO.

Kittens wave happily.

The narrator says, COOKIE, CANDY, AND PUDDING!
KID-E-CATS!

Striped red text beneath Pudding, Candy and Cookie reads, “Kid-E-Cats.”

Cookie, Pudding and Candy say, WE'RE CUTE!

Candy says, BUT I'M CUTER!

All three say, ME-WOW!

Red text outlined in white appears over a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. The clouds have baby blue stripes. The text reads, “The Family Photo.”

Cookie, Pudding and Candy ride in the backseat of a red car. Daddy and Mommy sit in the front seat. Mommy holds a cactus with a pink flower on top in her lap. She wears a pink shirt. Daddy drives the car. He wears a blue shirt.

[Upbeat music plays, car engine hums]

The narrator says, EVERY YEAR WHEN
THEIR CACTUS FLOWERS, MOMMY AND
DADDY TAKE THE KITTENS TO A
PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO TO HAVE A
FAMILY PORTRAIT TAKEN.

[Car doors slam]

The family runs inside the studio.

They say, GOOD MORNING!

The photographer says, HELLO!
I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU FOR A WHILE.

[Daddy chuckles]

Daddy says, WELL, IT'S BEEN A YEAR!
IT'S TIME WE TOOK ANOTHER FAMILY
PORTRAIT FOR THE PHOTO ALBUM.

[Rustling]

The photographer asks, SO, ARE WE
DOING THE SAME AS USUAL?

Cookie says, SAME THING IS BORING.

Pudding says, WE WANT TO DO
SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

The photographer asks, YOU SURE
ABOUT THAT? YOU'VE GROWN UP
A LOT SINCE LAST YEAR.

Cookie says, YES, WE HAVE, BUT
NOTHING AT ALL HAS CHANGED HERE.

Pudding says, WE KINDA JUST POSE
WHEN WE HEAR "SAY MEOW!"

Candy asks, WHY DON'T WE ALL WEAR
COSTUMES IN THE PICTURE.

Candy pushes open a sliding closet door.

[Grinding, gentle music plays]

Candy says, LOOK, THERE'S A LOT OF THEM.

The photographer says, HMM,
THAT'S A WONDERFUL IDEA.
I HAVE LOTS OF COSTUMES!

GO ON, EVERYONE, TAKE YOUR PICK.

Cookie, Candy and Pudding say, SO AWESOME!

[Upbeat music plays]

They sing, ME-WOW, ME-WOW, ME-WOW, ME-WOW!

The family runs into the closet.

[Laughter, clothes rustle, chattering, upbeat music continues]

Cookie emerges from the closet wearing a large green dinosaur head.

Cookie says, I'LL BE A DINOSAUR.

The photographer says, OOH!

Candy says, I'LL BE SUPER CAT!

Candy puts on a pink mask.

Pudding says, AND I'LL BE A KNIGHT.

Pudding carries a helmet with a visor.

Daddy says, HEH-HEH, I'VE ALWAYS
SECRETLY WANTED TO BE A ROCK STAR.

[Chuckling]

Mommy says, AH, I'M GOING TO BE
THE QUEEN OF EGYPT!

The photographer says, OOH!
ALL RIGHT, SAY MEOW!

The family says, MEOW!

[Camera clicks, gentle notes play]

The photographer says, NOW,
LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT
WE HAVE.

[Whirring]

The family says, HUH?

Mommy says, ALL YOUR FACES ARE HIDDEN!
IT'S HARD TO TELL WHO IS WHO.

The photographer says, HMM, YEAH,
THAT IS A BIT OF A PROBLEM.
WHY DON'T WE TRY AGAIN?

Daddy takes off a wig.

[Rustling]

Daddy says, UH, ACTUALLY, I DON'T
THINK WE SHOULD.

WE'D BETTER TAKE THE PICTURE
WITHOUT COSTUMES ON.

[Footsteps]

Pudding says, LOOK!
IF WE USE THAT, WE CAN BE IN
COSTUME, BUT OUR FACES WILL
STILL BE EASY TO SEE!

The family runs behind a picture of a squid, seahorse, whale, octopus and fish. Each creature has a hole cut out on its face.

[Rattle, chuckling, upbeat music plays]

The photographer says, HMM HMM HMM, HMPH.

[Rattle, thumping]

Daddy tries to get his head through the hole on the whale.

Daddy says, UH, JUST A SECOND.
THIS WHALE ISN'T THE RIGHT SIZE
FOR DADDY'S NOGGIN.

The family says, WHOA, CAREFUL!

Daddy says, WHOA!

Daddy clings to the back of the picture as it falls over.

[Thump]

Daddy says, HMMMM.

[Footsteps]

The photographer says, ARE YOU OKAY?
SHOULD WE JUST GO BACK AND TRY
TO DO THE SAME AS USUAL?

[Happy music plays]

Cookie says, NAH, LET'S MAKE A PYRAMID,
LIKE THEY DO IN THE CIRCUS.

Cookie imagines the family jumping on Daddy’s shoulders until they are a tall stack of Daddy, Mommy, Pudding, Cookie and Candy.

[Whooshing, crowd claps]

The photographer asks, YOU READY?

The family wobbles in position.

[Groaning]

The photographer says, ALL RIGHT
THEN, SAY MEOW!

The family says, MEOW!

[Shouting, thumping, camera clicks, chuckling]

Daddy asks, HEH, HOW'D WE DO?
DID YOU GET A GOOD ONE?

The photographer says, LET'S TAKE A LOOK.

[Clicking]

Pudding says, I'M SORRY, THE CACTUS
MADE ME SNEEZE.

Mommy says, PUDDING, IT ISN'T YOUR FAULT,
BUT IT'S NEVER TAKEN THIS MUCH
TIME BEFORE TO TAKE OUR YEARLY
FAMILY PHOTO.

The photographer says, HMM, YEAH,
BEFORE WE ALWAYS TOOK PHOTOS
QUICKLY, AND, WELL, HERE, JUST
LOOK THROUGH YOUR FAMILY ALBUM.

[Rustling, gentle music plays]

Daddy says, LOOK, OUR VERY FIRST
FAMILY PHOTO! WE TOOK IT IN ONLY
A SECOND OR TWO.

Mommy says, OH, THAT'S RIGHT,
BECAUSE LITTLE PUDDING COULD HAVE
STARTED CRYING AT ANY MOMENT.

Cookie asks, THAT'S PUDDING?

Candy says, HE'S SO TINY!
NOT AT ALL LIKE HE IS NOW.

[Pages rustle]

Mommy says, THAT'S RIGHT,
IT'S A VERY OLD PHOTOGRAPH.
SOON, PUDDING GOT BIGGER.
AND THEN WE HAD BABY COOKIE.
AND THEN HE GOT BIGGER!
AND PUDDING GOT EVEN OLDER.
AND THEN WE HAD BABY CANDY,
WHO ALSO GREW AND CHANGED.

Candy says, LOOK HOW DIFFERENT
WE ARE IN EVERY FAMILY PHOTO!
EVEN WITHOUT COSTUMES.

Daddy says, THAT'S RIGHT, YOU'RE ALL
CONSTANTLY GROWING AND CHANGING.

Pudding says, AND OUR CACTUS IS GROWING
AS WELL.

I THINK THAT WE BETTER TAKE OUR
PICTURE THE REGULAR WAY.

Cookie says, YEAH, PUDDING,
YOU'RE RIGHT!

OTHERWISE WE WON'T BE ABLE
TO SEE HOW WE'VE CHANGED.

Candy says, I HAVE A REALLY GOOD IDEA.
LET'S TAKE OUR REGULAR FAMILY
PHOTOGRAPH, BUT IN DIFFERENT
NEW PLACES!

The photographer says, THAT'S A
WONDERFULLY CREATIVE APPROACH!

THERE'S AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
SPOT THAT'S NOT FAR FROM MY STUDIO!

Cookie, Candy and Pudding say, SO AWESOME!

They dance.

They sing, ME-WOW, ME-WOW, ME-WOW, ME-WOW!

The family poses in front of a waterfall with flowering cacti around them.

[Gentle music plays, water splashes, camera clicks]

The narrator says, SO THE KID-E-CATS
LEARNED THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT
PART OF A FAMILY PHOTO IS, WELL,
THE FAMILY.

[Upbeat music plays]
