Marine life navigates the ocean.
[Upbeat music plays]
A singer sings, OVER THE OCEAN
AND OVER THE REEF.
THERE'S A SUNNY LITTLE PLACE
CALLED KANGAROO BEACH.

The singer sings, FRIZZY, GEMMA,
NEVILLE AND POUNCE.
Frizzy, a koala with blue fur, balances sunglasses on her head. Gemma, a platypus, wears goggles strapped over her head. Neville, a wombat, wears a bucket hat. Pounce, a kangaroo, hops over his friends and down a slide. All the friends wear a red and blue uniform.
The singer and others sing, CADETS IN THE CLUB,
SO COME ON, LET'S BOUNCE.
Gemma, Frizzy and Neville follow Pounce down the slide.
The singer sings, GOOD FRIENDS SURFIN'
SWIMMIN', LEARNIN’
Pounce surfs down the slide. Gemma slides down on her stomach. Fizzy follows with her paws in the air. Neville spins down the slide.
He screams, AAH!
Outside, on the Kangaroo Beach dock, he blows a whistle and points to the water.
[Whistle blaring]
The singer sings, BONDI, SANDY,
BIG TREV TOO.
Bondi and Sandy, kangaroos, speed across the water on a boat with Pounce. Underwater, Frizzy travels in a submarine with Big Trev, a bearded koala with green fur.
The singer sings, TRAININ' WITH THE VERY BEST
LIFEGUARD CREW.
STAYIN' SAFE, BEING BRAVE,
RIDE A WAVE, MAKE A SAVE.
Gemma rides in a helicopter. The lifeguards and junior cadets return to the beach. The cadets surf a big wave.
The singer sings, WE'RE HERE ALL SUMMER,
IT JUST GETS FUNNER.
LET'S HOP DOWN TO...
A large wave crashes into the lifeguards and cadets on the beach.
The singer sings, …KANGAROO BEACH!
Title, Kangaroo Beach. A splash of water reveals the episode title on the beach.
Frizzy reads, FRIZZY’S TREASURE HUNT.
Text reads, Written by Tim Bain. A wave rolls over the beach and reveals Frizzy wearing a sparkly sea shell crown.
Frizzy announces, ALL HAIL FRIZZY!
QUEEN OF THE SEA!
In a dream-like state, Frizzy stands in front of a rainbow with a trident. Her voice echoes.
Frizzy continues, I HEREBY DECLARE TODAY FREE GUM
LEAF ICE CREAM DAY!
HUZZAH!
She stands on top of a giant sandcastle. She throws gum leaf ice cream bars down to Gemma, Pounce and Neville. The three friends catch the ice cream. They speak over each other.
They say, HAIL, FRIZZY!
WHEE, FRIZZY!
FRIZZY WE LOVE YOU!
The three friends chant, FRIZZY, FRIZZY, FRIZZY!
The dream-like state fades and reveals Frizzy wearing a sand castle bucket on her head. She holds a broom and has her eyes closed.
Frizzy quietly continues the chant, FRIZZY, FRIZZY...
Speaking normally, Frizzy says, NO BOWING. I KNOW.
I MEAN, I AM PRETTY AMAZING,
BUT....
[Frizzy giggling]
Pounce says, UM, FRIZZY?
In the Kangaroo Beach lifeguard headquarters, Gemma, Pounce and Neville look up at Frizzy in her bunk.
Pounce asks, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Frizzy says, PRACTISING TO BE QUEEN.
I FOUND A TREASURE MAP TO KING
NEPTUNE'S TRIDENT!
She shows her friends a map that has pictures of food.
Gemma says, I'M PRETTY SURE THAT'S A
LUNCH MENU.
Frizzy says, IT'S A MAP!
AND ONCE I FIND THE TRIDENT,
I'LL BE QUEEN OF THE SEA!
Neville asks, CAN I BE YOUR BUTLER?
Frizzy says, YOU, NEVILLE, CAN BE MY ROYAL
BUTLER-IN-CHIEF!
Through the P.A. system, Sandy says, ALL CADETS TO THE
TRAINING BAY.
IT'S SCUBA DIVE DAY!
Pounce says, LET'S GO!
[Cheering]
Frizzy says, LET’S GET THE TRIDENT!
Gemma cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Pounce says, IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!
He leads the other junior cadets down the slide. Pounce surfs down the slide. Gemma, slides down on her stomach. Frizzy slides down on her back with her paws in the air.
[Frizzy giggling]
Neville spins down the slide behind Frizzy.
He wails, WHOA!
Pounce leaps out of the slide, followed by Gemma who does a flip, and Frizzy who jumps out. Neville rolls out onto the mat at the bottom.
[Neville grunting]
[Cadets laughing]
The cadets join lifeguards Big Trev, Sandy and Bondi.
Sandy says, ALRIGHTY, CADETS!
WHAT SHOULD YOU ALWAYS BRING
WITH YOU ON A DIVE?
Neville asks, SEA MONSTER SPRAY?
Sandy says, YES, NEVILLE, GOOD ANSWER.
ANYTHING ELSE?
Pounce says, A DIVING BUDDY.
Sandy says, THAT'S RIGHT, POUNCE!
JUST LIKE SWIMMING, YOU SHOULD
ALWAYS HAVE A BUDDY WATCHING OUT
FOR YOU.
Bondi adds, AND IF YOU'RE A KID, THAT
BUDDY MUST BE A BIG BUDDY.
A GROWN-UP, LIKE YOURS TRULY.
Sandy says, SO, LET'S BUDDY UP AND DIVE!
Pounce says, AWESOME!
He high fives Bondi.
Gemma says, to Sandy, I CAN'T WAIT TO EXPLORE THE
BEAUTIFUL DEEP OCEAN.
IMAGINE ALL THE WEIRD AND WILD
SEA CREATURES LURKING DOWN
THERE.
Neville looks nervous.
He says, I, UM, FORGOT, I'M ALLERGIC
TO SEAWATER.
Sandy says, THAT'S OKAY, NEV.
DIVING'S NOT FOR EVERYONE.
WHY DON'T YOU STAY HERE?
[Neville sighing in relief]
Big Trev says, AND YOU'RE MY BUDDY, FRIZZY.
Frizzy says, GREAT, GRANDPA!
YOU'LL MAKE A GOOD LOOKOUT
TOWER.
She climbs up onto Big Trev’s head.
[Frizzy huffing]
Frizzy says, WHERE'S THAT TREASURE?
[Big Trev chuckling]
Big Trev says, OH, GET OFF THERE.
He helps Frizzy down off his head.
Sandy says, NOW, BECAUSE WE CAN'T SPEAK
UNDERWATER, WE'RE GOING TO TALK
BY USING PAW SIGNALS.
OKAY, SO, WATCH ME.
THIS IS GO DOWN.
She points her thumb down and lowers her paw. Frizzy, Pounce and Gemma practice the signal.
Sandy says, FOLLOW ME.
She brings her flat paw toward her. The three cadets practice the signal.
[Pounce giggling]
Sandy says, STOP!
She holds her paw out flat. The cadets copy her.
[Gemma giggling]
Sandy says, GO UP!
She points her thumb up and raises her paw. The cadets copy her.
Sandy asks, EVERYBODY GOT IT?
The three cadets say, YEAH!
Sandy says, NICE ONE!
LET'S JUMP IN AND GIVE IT A
CRACK!
[Water sloshing]
In the water, Pounce explores with Bondi. They wear diving helmets with masks that leave their faces visible, and swim fins.
[Cheerful music plays]
Pounce shows Bondi the stop signal, then the go up signal. They swim up through the water together. Elsewhere in the water, Gemma explores with Sandy. Gemma pauses, and shows Sandy the stop signal, then the go up signal. They swim up through the water together.
[Cheerful music continues]
Elsewhere in the water, Frizzy explores the water with Big Trev. Frizzy pauses, and shows Big Trev the stop signal. Frizzy turns and continues through the water. Big Trev looks surprised. He swims after Frizzy. Frizzy swims down the path that heads out of headquarters and toward the ocean.
[Splashing]
Big Trev pops out of the water and releases his helmet’s mask. He looks worried.
He says, FRIZZY?
He looks around.
He calls out, FRIZZY!
Big Trev climbs out of the water beside a pile of sand.
He says, FRIZZY, WHERE ARE YA?
UH, WHAT?
Frizzy pops up behind the pile of sand.
[Frizzy giggling]
Frizzy says, CAREFUL, GRANDPA!
I'M DIGGING FOR TREASURE.
Big Trev says, UH, YOU NEED TO FOCUS IF
YOU'RE GOING TO BE A PROPER
LIFEGUARD.
Frizzy says, IF I FIND THIS TRIDENT, I'LL
BE A PROPER QUEEN!
Sandy and Bondi cruise down the headquarters exit in the team’s rescue boat. They wear their diving masks.
Bondi says, OH, THERE YOU ARE, FRIZZY.
[Frizzy giggling]
Bondi asks, DID YOU LEAVE YOUR BUDDY BEHIND?
Frizzy says, UH, MAYBE?
She looks guilty.
Bondi says, RULE NUMBER ONE IN THE WATER
IS STAY TOGETHER.
Frizzy says, OKAY.
She lowers her gaze.
Sandy says, NOW, HOP ON!
WHO'S UP FOR A REAL DIVE ON THE
REEF?
Frizzy says, OH, ME!
ME!
Neville runs across the beach to the others.
He says, I'LL KEEP DIGGING FOR THE
TRIDENT, FRIZZY!
Frizzy says, THANKS, CHIEF BUTLER.
Bondi waves to Neville as he leaves with the team and junior cadets on the rescue boat. The boat tows the lifeguard’s submarine.
Frizzy adds, AND I'LL LOOK FOR IT UNDER THE
SEA!
Neville says, GOOD LUCK, YOUR MAJESTY!
On Frizzy’s pile of sand, Neville starts to bow. He slips and falls off.
He yells, AAH!
[Thudding]
Neville says, BETTER PRACTISE MY BOWING.
[Water splashing]
[Boat engine humming]
Sandy cruises through the ocean with the lifeguards and junior cadets.
She says, AND EVERY CADET WHO LEADS A
DIVE TODAY GETS ONE OF THESE
LITTLE BEAUTIES!
She shows the cadets medals.
Gemma says, I WANT IT!
Pounce adds, WOW,
SO COOL!
Frizzy says, SHINY!
BUT NOT AS SHINY AS MY GOLD
TRIDENT'S GONNA BE.
She looks at her menu map.
Gemma says, I HATE TO BREAK IT TO YOU,
FRIZZY, BUT THERE'S NO TRIDENT.
IT'S JUST A MYTH.
Frizzy says, WELL, I THINK YOU'RE
'MYTH-TAKEN'.
MM, IT'S SOMEWHERE PAST THIS
HAMBURGER.
She points to a spot on her map. Sandy stops the boat. Bondi drops the anchor.
Sandy says, OKAY, CADETS.
LEAD YOUR BUDDY OVER THE REEF
USING PAW SIGNALS AND REMEMBER,
ALWAYS STAY WITH YOUR BUDDY!
Bondi says, SAFE DIVE, EVERYBODY.
He jumps backward off the boat wearing his diving helmet.
[Splashing]
[Cheerful music plays]
In the water, fish swim alongside the lifeguards and cadets as they explore the coral reefs.
[Frizzy gasping]
Frizzy says, OH!
MY TRIDENT!
She swims ahead of Big Trev.
She says, AW, IT'S JUST BORING CORAL.
MAYBE IT'S AROUND HERE.
Frizzy swims away from coral that looks like a trident. Just as Big Trev catches up to Frizzy, Frizzy swims further away.
Big Trev says, FRIZZY!
Frizzy swims around a small mountain and out of Big Trev’s view. Big Trev quickly follows. He swims around to the other side of the underwater mountain. Frizzy is gone.
Big Trev says, FRIZZY!
WHERE DID SHE GO?
Elsewhere in the water, Frizzy swims over a collection of sea anemone.
[Frizzy giggling]
Frizzy says, AWESOME!
[Giggling continues]
Frizzy glides further through the water and over more coral in the ocean.
She stops and says, OH, MY STARFISH!
A CAVE!
THERE'S GOTTA BE TREASURE IN
HERE.
Frizzy looks excited as she swims up to a small, dark, nearby cave.
[Frizzy gasping]
A small school of fish swim out of the cave and around Frizzy.
Frizzy says, WATCH OUT, FISHIES!
The swirling fish spin Frizzy.
Frizzy wails, WHOA!
One of her swim fins slips off.
[Frizzy wailing]
The swirling fish carry Frizzy up through the water before leaving her. Frizzy’s fin sinks to the bottom of the ocean. On the surface, Sandy helps Gemma back onto the boat with Bondi and Pounce.
Sandy says, AND UP!
She pulls Gemma out of the water.
Sandy says, AH, GREAT DIVE, CADETS.
Big Trev pops out of the water and opens his diving mask.
[Big Trev gasping]
Bondi asks, WHERE'S FRIZZY?
Big Trev says, SHE SWAM OFF AND LEFT ME.
I CAN'T FIND HER ANYWHERE.
He looks scared.
Sandy says, DON'T WORRY, TREV, I'LL KEEP
LOOKING.
Gemma says, I'LL BE YOUR BUDDY!
Sandy says, THANKS, GEMMA, THAT'S GREAT.
She and Gemma drop backward into the water.
[Gemma grunting]
[Splashing]
Bondi says, WE'LL SEARCH FOR HER ON THE
SURFACE.
Big Trev says, AND I'LL GO DOWN DEEPER IN
THE SUB.
[Submarine beeping]
A light shines from the rescue submarine as Big Trev navigates deep, dark waters. On the surface, Bondi cruises across the ocean with Pounce scanning the water.
Pounce asks, IS THAT A TINY BLUE WHALE?
Bondi says, AW EVEN BETTER, IT'S FRIZZY!
In the water, Frizzy waves as the Bondi pulls up beside her.
[Frizzy gasping]
Bondi pulls Frizzy up onto the boat.
[Frizzy squealing]
Bondi says, GOTCHA!
Frizzy releases the mask on her diving helmet.
She says, THANKS, BONDI.
Bondi steers the boat further across the water. Elsewhere in the ocean, Sandy pops out of the water behind the rescue boat.
[Sandy gasping]
Sandy releases the mask on her helmet.
She says, THERE YOU ARE!
She lifts herself onto the boat. Gemma appears from the water beside her.
Sandy says, OH, I'M GLAD YOU'RE OKAY.
Bondi says, BUT SWIMMING AWAY FROM YOUR
BUDDY, NOT COOL, FRIZZY.
NOT COOL.
He looks disappointed.
Frizzy says, SORRY.
She lowers her gaze.
She says, GUESS I'M NOT GETTING A MEDAL
THINGY, AM I?
Bondi says, NO, NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
He turns the boat around. Underwater, fish swim around Frizzy’s sunken swim fin.
[Submarine beeping]
The fish scatter. The light from the submarine shines on the swim fin.
Big Trev says, GREAT GUMNUTS!
On Kangaroo Beach, Neville digs in the sand.
Through a radio, Big Trev says, HELLO, LIFEGUARDS.
ANYONE THERE?
Neville says, HUH?
BIG TREV?
Big Trev says, HELLO?
DOES ANYONE READ ME?
Neville hurries across the sand.
He says, I READ YOU, BIG TREV!
At headquarters, Neville climbs up to the control panel and presses a button. A video call on a monitor shows Big Trev in the submarine. Neville presses a button.
He says, I'M HERE, BIG TREV.
WHAT'S WRONG?
Big Trev says, I FOUND FRIZZY'S FLIPPER IN A
CAVE.
I THINK SHE MIGHT BE IN HERE.
Neville looks outside. Sandy and the others arrive in the rescue boat.
[Boat engine roaring]
Neville says, OH, DON'T WORRY, BIG TREV.
SHE'S SAFE!
I CAN SEE HER IN THE SPEEDBOAT.
Big Trev says, OH, WHAT A RELIEF!
In the small, dark cave, Big Trev starts to turn the submarine around. It bumps into a wall of the cave. The submarine shakes.
Big Trev says, OH, STEADY ON.
Neville asks, BIG TREV, ARE YOU OKAY?
Big Trev says, I'M STUCK IN THE CAVE AND –
His radio cuts out and the video blurs.
[Radio static]
Neville asks, ARE YOU THERE, TREV?
HELLO?!
He looks worried. He hops off the control panel bench. Elsewhere in headquarters, Frizzy looks sad.
She says, NO MEDAL?
NO TRIDENT?
NOT MUCH OF A QUEEN, AM I?
Neville calls out, BONDI, SANDY!
EMERGENCY!
He runs over to the lifeguards.
He says, BIG TREV'S TRAPPED IN THE
UNDERWATER CAVE!
Frizzy says, OH, NO!
Sandy says, AN UNDERWATER CAVE?
I'VE NO IDEA WHERE THAT IS.
Bondi says, THINK CAREFULLY.
CAN YOU REMEMBER SEEING A CAVE
WHEN YOU SWAM OFF TODAY?
Frizzy says, YES!
AND I CAN LEAD YOU TO IT.
C'MON, LET'S GO SAVE GRANDPA!
CADET TO THE RESCUE!
[Alarm blaring]
[Upbeat music plays]
In a montage, the Kangaroo Beach lifeguards prepare for rescue with radios, first aid kits, and rescue boards. The travel in their rescue vehicles, a helicopter, boat, submarine and golf cart. The junior cadets gather, ready for action, and pose.
[Boat engine humming]
Bondi steers the rescue boat out of headquarters with Sandy and Frizzy. Further in the ocean, Sandy and Frizzy wear their diving helmets.
Sandy says, OKAY, FRIZZY, CAN YOU
REMEMBER HOW TO LEAD A DIVE?
Frizzy says, YES!
AND I WON'T LOSE YOU, I PROMISE.
Sandy says, OKAY, LET'S DO THIS!
[Lively music plays]
She drops off the boat with a hook on a rope and follows Frizzy through the water. Frizzy pauses and looks back at Sandy. She shows Sandy the follow me signal. Sandy follows Frizzy deeper into the water. As the pair swim over coral, Frizzy pauses and shows Sandy the go down signal.
In the submarine, Big Trev sings, 29 GUMNUTS
UP THERE IN THAT TREE,
29 GUMNUTS UP THERE,
AND IF ONE GUMNUT SHOULD –
Frizzy calls out, GRANDPA!
Big Trev looks out the submarine’s window.
He says, OH! SANDY!
LUCKY YOU FOUND ME, I WAS ALMOST
OUT OF GUMNUTS.
Sandy connects her rope hook to the submarine and tugs it twice. On the boat, Bondi watches the rope move.
He says, HUH!
He turns to the control panel. In the water, the submarine shifts.
[Submarine creaking]
Big Trev looks worried. Frizzy shows Sandy the follow me signal. Sandy follows Frizzy under the submarine. Frizzy pretends to kick the submarine with both her feet. She points to the submarine and looks at Sandy. Sandy nods. Sandy kicks the submarine.
[Submarine creaking]
Big Trev says, GENTLY, BENTLEY!
THERE'S AN OLD KOALA IN HERE!
The submarine shakes. On the water’s surface, Bondi tows the submarine out of the cave.
[Submarine beeping]
Frizzy and Sandy follow the submarine. At headquarters, Sandy helps Frizzy off the rescue boat.
Bondi says, NICE WORK ALERTING US TO THE
EMERGENCY, MATE.
He gives Neville a medal.
Bondi says, AND TOP EFFORT, YOU TWO.
He shows Gemma and Pounce their medals.
Gemma and Pounce say, WHOA!
Sandy says, GREAT DIVE, FRIZZY.
YOU WATCHED OUT FOR ME THE
WHOLE TIME.
Big Trev brings the submarine back above water.
Sandy adds, WELL DONE, BUDDY!
Frizzy smiles shyly. She and Sandy turn to Big Trev and the submarine.
Frizzy says, GRANDPA!
She runs over to Big Trev as he leaves the submarine.
She says, I'M SO SORRY I SWAM OFF.
I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY.
Big Trev says, YOU TOO, FRIZZY, AND WHAT AN
INCREDIBLE RESCUE.
HERE, YOU'VE EARNED THIS.
He shows Frizzy her medal.
He adds, TREASURE FOR MY FUZZY LITTLE
QUEEN.
Frizzy says, OH, I'M YOUR QUEEN?
Frizzy smiles and climbs up onto Big Trev’s head.
[Frizzy grunting]
Frizzy holds up her medal.
She announces, ALL HAIL FRIZZY!
QUEEN OF THE KOALAS!
Big Trev says, OI!
GET OFF THERE!
[Big Trev chuckling]
[Everything laughing]

Pounce says, UM, FRIZZY?
In the Kangaroo Beach lifeguard headquarters, Gemma, Pounce and Neville look up at Frizzy in her bunk.
Pounce asks, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Frizzy says, PRACTISING TO BE QUEEN.
I FOUND A TREASURE MAP TO KING
NEPTUNE'S TRIDENT!
She shows her friends a map that has pictures of food.
Gemma says, I'M PRETTY SURE THAT'S A
LUNCH MENU.
Frizzy says, IT'S A MAP!
AND ONCE I FIND THE TRIDENT,
I'LL BE QUEEN OF THE SEA!
Neville asks, CAN I BE YOUR BUTLER?
Frizzy says, YOU, NEVILLE, CAN BE MY ROYAL
BUTLER-IN-CHIEF!
Through the P.A. system, Sandy says, ALL CADETS TO THE
TRAINING BAY.
IT'S SCUBA DIVE DAY!
Pounce says, LET'S GO!
[Cheering]
Frizzy says, LET’S GET THE TRIDENT!
Gemma cheers, WHOO-HOO!
Pounce says, IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!
He leads the other junior cadets down the slide. Pounce surfs down the slide. Gemma, slides down on her stomach. Frizzy slides down on her back with her paws in the air.
[Frizzy giggling]
Neville spins down the slide behind Frizzy.
He wails, WHOA!
Pounce leaps out of the slide, followed by Gemma who does a flip, and Frizzy who jumps out. Neville rolls out onto the mat at the bottom.
[Neville grunting]
[Cadets laughing]
The cadets join lifeguards Big Trev, Sandy and Bondi.
Sandy says, ALRIGHTY, CADETS!
WHAT SHOULD YOU ALWAYS BRING
WITH YOU ON A DIVE?
Neville asks, SEA MONSTER SPRAY?
Sandy says, YES, NEVILLE, GOOD ANSWER.
ANYTHING ELSE?
Pounce says, A DIVING BUDDY.
Sandy says, THAT'S RIGHT, POUNCE!
JUST LIKE SWIMMING, YOU SHOULD
ALWAYS HAVE A BUDDY WATCHING OUT
FOR YOU.
Bondi adds, AND IF YOU'RE A KID, THAT
BUDDY MUST BE A BIG BUDDY.
A GROWN-UP, LIKE YOURS TRULY.
Sandy says, SO, LET'S BUDDY UP AND DIVE!
Pounce says, AWESOME!
He high fives Bondi.
Gemma says, to Sandy, I CAN'T WAIT TO EXPLORE THE
BEAUTIFUL DEEP OCEAN.
IMAGINE ALL THE WEIRD AND WILD
SEA CREATURES LURKING DOWN
THERE.
Neville looks nervous.
He says, I, UM, FORGOT, I'M ALLERGIC
TO SEAWATER.
Sandy says, THAT'S OKAY, NEV.
DIVING'S NOT FOR EVERYONE.
WHY DON'T YOU STAY HERE?
[Neville sighing in relief]
Big Trev says, AND YOU'RE MY BUDDY, FRIZZY.
Frizzy says, GREAT, GRANDPA!
YOU'LL MAKE A GOOD LOOKOUT
TOWER.
She climbs up onto Big Trev’s head.
[Frizzy huffing]
Frizzy says, WHERE'S THAT TREASURE?
[Big Trev chuckling]
Big Trev says, OH, GET OFF THERE.
He helps Frizzy down off his head.
Sandy says, NOW, BECAUSE WE CAN'T SPEAK
UNDERWATER, WE'RE GOING TO TALK
BY USING PAW SIGNALS.
OKAY, SO, WATCH ME.
THIS IS GO DOWN.
She points her thumb down and lowers her paw. Frizzy, Pounce and Gemma practice the signal.
Sandy says, FOLLOW ME.
She brings her flat paw toward her. The three cadets practice the signal.
[Pounce giggling]
Sandy says, STOP!
She holds her paw out flat. The cadets copy her.
[Gemma giggling]
Sandy says, GO UP!
She points her thumb up and raises her paw. The cadets copy her.
Sandy asks, EVERYBODY GOT IT?
The three cadets say, YEAH!
Sandy says, NICE ONE!
LET'S JUMP IN AND GIVE IT A
CRACK!
[Water sloshing]
In the water, Pounce explores with Bondi. They wear diving helmets with masks that leave their faces visible, and swim fins.
[Cheerful music plays]
Pounce shows Bondi the stop signal, then the go up signal. They swim up through the water together. Elsewhere in the water, Gemma explores with Sandy. Gemma pauses, and shows Sandy the stop signal, then the go up signal. They swim up through the water together.
[Cheerful music continues]
Elsewhere in the water, Frizzy explores the water with Big Trev. Frizzy pauses, and shows Big Trev the stop signal. Frizzy turns and continues through the water. Big Trev looks surprised. He swims after Frizzy. Frizzy swims down the path that heads out of headquarters and toward the ocean.
[Splashing]
Big Trev pops out of the water and releases his helmet’s mask. He looks worried.
He says, FRIZZY?
He looks around.
He calls out, FRIZZY!
Big Trev climbs out of the water beside a pile of sand.
He says, FRIZZY, WHERE ARE YA?
UH, WHAT?
Frizzy pops up behind the pile of sand.
[Frizzy giggling]
Frizzy says, CAREFUL, GRANDPA!
I'M DIGGING FOR TREASURE.
Big Trev says, UH, YOU NEED TO FOCUS IF
YOU'RE GOING TO BE A PROPER
LIFEGUARD.
Frizzy says, IF I FIND THIS TRIDENT, I'LL
BE A PROPER QUEEN!
Sandy and Bondi cruise down the headquarters exit in the team’s rescue boat. They wear their diving masks.
Bondi says, OH, THERE YOU ARE, FRIZZY.
[Frizzy giggling]
Bondi asks, DID YOU LEAVE YOUR BUDDY BEHIND?
Frizzy says, UH, MAYBE?
She looks guilty.
Bondi says, RULE NUMBER ONE IN THE WATER
IS STAY TOGETHER.
Frizzy says, OKAY.
She lowers her gaze.
Sandy says, NOW, HOP ON!
WHO'S UP FOR A REAL DIVE ON THE
REEF?
Frizzy says, OH, ME!
ME!
Neville runs across the beach to the others.
He says, I'LL KEEP DIGGING FOR THE
TRIDENT, FRIZZY!
Frizzy says, THANKS, CHIEF BUTLER.
Bondi waves to Neville as he leaves with the team and junior cadets on the rescue boat. The boat tows the lifeguard’s submarine.
Frizzy adds, AND I'LL LOOK FOR IT UNDER THE
SEA!
Neville says, GOOD LUCK, YOUR MAJESTY!
On Frizzy’s pile of sand, Neville starts to bow. He slips and falls off.
He yells, AAH!
[Thudding]
Neville says, BETTER PRACTISE MY BOWING.
[Water splashing]
[Boat engine humming]
Sandy cruises through the ocean with the lifeguards and junior cadets.
She says, AND EVERY CADET WHO LEADS A
DIVE TODAY GETS ONE OF THESE
LITTLE BEAUTIES!
She shows the cadets medals.
Gemma says, I WANT IT!
Pounce adds, WOW,
SO COOL!
Frizzy says, SHINY!
BUT NOT AS SHINY AS MY GOLD
TRIDENT'S GONNA BE.
She looks at her menu map.
Gemma says, I HATE TO BREAK IT TO YOU,
FRIZZY, BUT THERE'S NO TRIDENT.
IT'S JUST A MYTH.
Frizzy says, WELL, I THINK YOU'RE
'MYTH-TAKEN'.
MM, IT'S SOMEWHERE PAST THIS
HAMBURGER.
She points to a spot on her map. Sandy stops the boat. Bondi drops the anchor.
Sandy says, OKAY, CADETS.
LEAD YOUR BUDDY OVER THE REEF
USING PAW SIGNALS AND REMEMBER,
ALWAYS STAY WITH YOUR BUDDY!
Bondi says, SAFE DIVE, EVERYBODY.
He jumps backward off the boat wearing his diving helmet.
[Splashing]
[Cheerful music plays]
In the water, fish swim alongside the lifeguards and cadets as they explore the coral reefs.
[Frizzy gasping]
Frizzy says, OH!
MY TRIDENT!
She swims ahead of Big Trev.
She says, AW, IT'S JUST BORING CORAL.
MAYBE IT'S AROUND HERE.
Frizzy swims away from coral that looks like a trident. Just as Big Trev catches up to Frizzy, Frizzy swims further away.
Big Trev says, FRIZZY!
Frizzy swims around a small mountain and out of Big Trev’s view. Big Trev quickly follows. He swims around to the other side of the underwater mountain. Frizzy is gone.
Big Trev says, FRIZZY!
WHERE DID SHE GO?
Elsewhere in the water, Frizzy swims over a collection of sea anemone.
[Frizzy giggling]
Frizzy says, AWESOME!
[Giggling continues]
Frizzy glides further through the water and over more coral in the ocean.
She stops and says, OH, MY STARFISH!
A CAVE!
THERE'S GOTTA BE TREASURE IN
HERE.
Frizzy looks excited as she swims up to a small, dark, nearby cave.
[Frizzy gasping]
A small school of fish swim out of the cave and around Frizzy.
Frizzy says, WATCH OUT, FISHIES!
The swirling fish spin Frizzy.
Frizzy wails, WHOA!
One of her swim fins slips off.
[Frizzy wailing]
The swirling fish carry Frizzy up through the water before leaving her. Frizzy’s fin sinks to the bottom of the ocean. On the surface, Sandy helps Gemma back onto the boat with Bondi and Pounce.
Sandy says, AND UP!
She pulls Gemma out of the water.
Sandy says, AH, GREAT DIVE, CADETS.
Big Trev pops out of the water and opens his diving mask.
[Big Trev gasping]
Bondi asks, WHERE'S FRIZZY?
Big Trev says, SHE SWAM OFF AND LEFT ME.
I CAN'T FIND HER ANYWHERE.
He looks scared.
Sandy says, DON'T WORRY, TREV, I'LL KEEP
LOOKING.
Gemma says, I'LL BE YOUR BUDDY!
Sandy says, THANKS, GEMMA, THAT'S GREAT.
She and Gemma drop backward into the water.
[Gemma grunting]
[Splashing]
Bondi says, WE'LL SEARCH FOR HER ON THE
SURFACE.
Big Trev says, AND I'LL GO DOWN DEEPER IN
THE SUB.
[Submarine beeping]
A light shines from the rescue submarine as Big Trev navigates deep, dark waters. On the surface, Bondi cruises across the ocean with Pounce scanning the water.
Pounce asks, IS THAT A TINY BLUE WHALE?
Bondi says, AW EVEN BETTER, IT'S FRIZZY!
In the water, Frizzy waves as the Bondi pulls up beside her.
[Frizzy gasping]
Bondi pulls Frizzy up onto the boat.
[Frizzy squealing]
Bondi says, GOTCHA!
Frizzy releases the mask on her diving helmet.
She says, THANKS, BONDI.
Bondi steers the boat further across the water. Elsewhere in the ocean, Sandy pops out of the water behind the rescue boat.
[Sandy gasping]
Sandy releases the mask on her helmet.
She says, THERE YOU ARE!
She lifts herself onto the boat. Gemma appears from the water beside her.
Sandy says, OH, I'M GLAD YOU'RE OKAY.
Bondi says, BUT SWIMMING AWAY FROM YOUR
BUDDY, NOT COOL, FRIZZY.
NOT COOL.
He looks disappointed.
Frizzy says, SORRY.
She lowers her gaze.
She says, GUESS I'M NOT GETTING A MEDAL
THINGY, AM I?
Bondi says, NO, NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
He turns the boat around. Underwater, fish swim around Frizzy’s sunken swim fin.
[Submarine beeping]
The fish scatter. The light from the submarine shines on the swim fin.
Big Trev says, GREAT GUMNUTS!
On Kangaroo Beach, Neville digs in the sand.
Through a radio, Big Trev says, HELLO, LIFEGUARDS.
ANYONE THERE?
Neville says, HUH?
BIG TREV?
Big Trev says, HELLO?
DOES ANYONE READ ME?
Neville hurries across the sand.
He says, I READ YOU, BIG TREV!
At headquarters, Neville climbs up to the control panel and presses a button. A video call on a monitor shows Big Trev in the submarine. Neville presses a button.
He says, I'M HERE, BIG TREV.
WHAT'S WRONG?
Big Trev says, I FOUND FRIZZY'S FLIPPER IN A
CAVE.
I THINK SHE MIGHT BE IN HERE.
Neville looks outside. Sandy and the others arrive in the rescue boat.
[Boat engine roaring]
Neville says, OH, DON'T WORRY, BIG TREV.
SHE'S SAFE!
I CAN SEE HER IN THE SPEEDBOAT.
Big Trev says, OH, WHAT A RELIEF!
In the small, dark cave, Big Trev starts to turn the submarine around. It bumps into a wall of the cave. The submarine shakes.
Big Trev says, OH, STEADY ON.
Neville asks, BIG TREV, ARE YOU OKAY?
Big Trev says, I'M STUCK IN THE CAVE AND –
His radio cuts out and the video blurs.
[Radio static]
Neville asks, ARE YOU THERE, TREV?
HELLO?!
He looks worried. He hops off the control panel bench. Elsewhere in headquarters, Frizzy looks sad.
She says, NO MEDAL?
NO TRIDENT?
NOT MUCH OF A QUEEN, AM I?
Neville calls out, BONDI, SANDY!
EMERGENCY!
He runs over to the lifeguards.
He says, BIG TREV'S TRAPPED IN THE
UNDERWATER CAVE!
Frizzy says, OH, NO!
Sandy says, AN UNDERWATER CAVE?
I'VE NO IDEA WHERE THAT IS.
Bondi says, THINK CAREFULLY.
CAN YOU REMEMBER SEEING A CAVE
WHEN YOU SWAM OFF TODAY?
Frizzy says, YES!
AND I CAN LEAD YOU TO IT.
C'MON, LET'S GO SAVE GRANDPA!
CADET TO THE RESCUE!
[Alarm blaring]
[Upbeat music plays]
In a montage, the Kangaroo Beach lifeguards prepare for rescue with radios, first aid kits, and rescue boards. The travel in their rescue vehicles, a helicopter, boat, submarine and golf cart. The junior cadets gather, ready for action, and pose.
[Boat engine humming]
Bondi steers the rescue boat out of headquarters with Sandy and Frizzy. Further in the ocean, Sandy and Frizzy wear their diving helmets.
Sandy says, OKAY, FRIZZY, CAN YOU
REMEMBER HOW TO LEAD A DIVE?
Frizzy says, YES!
AND I WON'T LOSE YOU, I PROMISE.
Sandy says, OKAY, LET'S DO THIS!
[Lively music plays]
She drops off the boat with a hook on a rope and follows Frizzy through the water. Frizzy pauses and looks back at Sandy. She shows Sandy the follow me signal. Sandy follows Frizzy deeper into the water. As the pair swim over coral, Frizzy pauses and shows Sandy the go down signal.
In the submarine, Big Trev sings, 29 GUMNUTS
UP THERE IN THAT TREE,
29 GUMNUTS UP THERE,
AND IF ONE GUMNUT SHOULD –
Frizzy calls out, GRANDPA!
Big Trev looks out the submarine’s window.
He says, OH! SANDY!
LUCKY YOU FOUND ME, I WAS ALMOST
OUT OF GUMNUTS.
Sandy connects her rope hook to the submarine and tugs it twice. On the boat, Bondi watches the rope move.
He says, HUH!
He turns to the control panel. In the water, the submarine shifts.
[Submarine creaking]
Big Trev looks worried. Frizzy shows Sandy the follow me signal. Sandy follows Frizzy under the submarine. Frizzy pretends to kick the submarine with both her feet. She points to the submarine and looks at Sandy. Sandy nods. Sandy kicks the submarine.
[Submarine creaking]
Big Trev says, GENTLY, BENTLEY!
THERE'S AN OLD KOALA IN HERE!
The submarine shakes. On the water’s surface, Bondi tows the submarine out of the cave.
[Submarine beeping]
Frizzy and Sandy follow the submarine. At headquarters, Sandy helps Frizzy off the rescue boat.
Bondi says, NICE WORK ALERTING US TO THE
EMERGENCY, MATE.
He gives Neville a medal.
Bondi says, AND TOP EFFORT, YOU TWO.
He shows Gemma and Pounce their medals.
Gemma and Pounce say, WHOA!
Sandy says, GREAT DIVE, FRIZZY.
YOU WATCHED OUT FOR ME THE
WHOLE TIME.
Big Trev brings the submarine back above water.
Sandy adds, WELL DONE, BUDDY!
Frizzy smiles shyly. She and Sandy turn to Big Trev and the submarine.
Frizzy says, GRANDPA!
She runs over to Big Trev as he leaves the submarine.
She says, I'M SO SORRY I SWAM OFF.
I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY.
Big Trev says, YOU TOO, FRIZZY, AND WHAT AN
INCREDIBLE RESCUE.
HERE, YOU'VE EARNED THIS.
He shows Frizzy her medal.
He adds, TREASURE FOR MY FUZZY LITTLE
QUEEN.
Frizzy says, OH, I'M YOUR QUEEN?
Frizzy smiles and climbs up onto Big Trev’s head.
[Frizzy grunting]
Frizzy holds up her medal.
She announces, ALL HAIL FRIZZY!
QUEEN OF THE KOALAS!
Big Trev says, OI!
GET OFF THERE!
[Big Trev chuckling]
[Everything laughing]
[Indiscernible chatting]
[Upbeat music plays]
