Environmental Technician

Akeylah ventures to Thunder Bay to meet Magnus, an environmental technician. Magnus shows Akeylah how to gather information about plants and animals to better understand an ecosystem. Together, Magnus and Akeylah dig for soil samples and measure the growth of trees. They set up an acoustic recording unit that helps identify bird songs, and a trail camera that captures weather and animal activity.
