A blue slate pops into view; the title of the show is overwritten in capital golden letters. It reads "The lady vocab show."

Professor P says GET READY TO GROW
YOUR VOCABULARY
WITH TODAY'S EPISODE
OF THE LADY VOCAB SHOW.
I'M YOUR HOST
PROFESSOR P.
AND JOINING ME IS NONE
OTHER THAN LADY VOCAB!
WOOP, WOOP, WOOP!

Professor P is in his late twenties; he has short, dark, curly hair, a moustache and dark rimmed square glasses. He’s wearing a dark grey sweater with a silver "P" on it, over a white shirt and tie.

Lady Vocab says THANKS, PROFESSOR P.
ARE YOU READY TO DELVE
INTO A NEW DEFINITION?

Lady Vocab is in her thirties; she has straight blond hair in a bob and wears a plastic striped black and white dress that reads "window shuttle, machine package, magnetic over" with black leather gloves and square futuristic white glasses.
She stands in front of an old fashioned metal microphone.
A sign behind her reads "Vocab" in a column decreasing in size.

Professor P stands in front of a keyboard and says CERTAINLY,
MY LADY.
WHAT WORD WILL
WE LEARN TODAY?

He touches a screen behind him and says ANALYZE.
IT IS A VERB WHICH
MEANS TO DISCOVER
OR REVEAL SOMETHING
THROUGH EXAMINATION.

She says OOH, OOH, AS IN
'IN MY SPARE TIME
I LOVE TO
ANALYZE POETRY'.

He says OH, DO YOU?
THAT'S EXACTLY
RIGHT, BY THE WAY.

She lowers her glasses and says I DO.
YOU KNOW, IT REMINDS
ME WHEN I WAS
JUST A YOUNG GIRL
DREAMING OF GROWING UP
AND BECOMING A STAR...
I WENT TO A POETRY
SHOW WITH MY MOM.

He asks DID YOU ENJOY IT?

She answers I DID.
IT WAS A LITTLE
TRICKY AT FIRST
BECAUSE I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND
THE MEANING BEHIND THE POEMS.

He comments RIGHT, WELL POETRY IS
NOT NECESSARILY WRITTEN
LIKE STORIES WE
READ, FOR EXAMPLE.

She explains EXACTLY.
SO I HAD TO ASK MY MOM
TO EXPLAIN A FEW THINGS,
BUT THEN ONCE I REALLY
STARTED PAYING ATTENTION
AND LISTENING, I
UNDERSTOOD THEM MORE.

He says SOUNDS LIKE YOU
STARTED TO ANALYZE.

She nods as she says I DID.
AND WHEN I ANALYZED THEM
I STARTED TO LOVE POETRY.

Professor P adds YOU KNOW, I LOVE
POETRY TOO.
AND POEMS CAN SOMETIMES
BE LIKE SONGS.
THEY CAN SHARE A
SIMILAR STRUCTURE.

She says SPEAKING OF SONGS,
PROFESSOR...
OH, YOU GOT IT.
HIT IT!

She spells out the Word and the letters pop into view.

She says A-N-A-L-Y-Z-E!

She sings DISCOVER WHAT
YOU CANNOT SEE
WHEN YOU ANALYZE,
YOU EXAMINE CAREFULLY
LOOKING FOR THE
NEXT CLUE
WHERE WILL IT BE?
YOU SEARCH,
YOU EXPLORE
HIGH AND LOW
GETTIN' TO THE BOTTOM
OF WHAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW
ANALYZE

The word flashes on screen.

He says WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

She sings ANALYZE
EXAMINE CAREFULLY
ANALYZE
TAKE A CLOSER LOOK
CROSS-REFERENCE IN A BOOK
ANALYZE WITH YOUR
EYES, NO SURPRISE

Professor P says WELL, WE CAME, WE SAW,
WE ANALYZED.
JOIN US FOR ANOTHER WORD
ON AN ALL-NEW EPISODE
OF THE LADY VOCAB
SHOW NEXT TIME.
ANALYZE
WITH YOUR EYES
ANALYZE...

They keep dancing as the image fades to black and a logo of TVO Kids appears.
