A blue slate pops into view; the title of the show is overwritten in capital golden letters. It reads "The lady vocab show."

Professor P says HELLO, WORD FANS,
AND WELCOME TO...
I'M YOUR HUMBLE HOST,
PROFESSOR P.
AND NOW, GET
READY FOR
THE ALLEY CAT OF
ALLITERATION,
LADY VOCAB!

Professor P is in his late twenties; he has short, dark, curly hair, a moustache and dark rimmed square glasses. He’s wearing a dark grey sweater with a silver "P" on it, over a white shirt and tie.

Lady Vocab says THANKS,
PROFESSOR P.
ARE YOU READY TO
WARBLE THE WORDS?

Lady Vocab is in her thirties; she has straight blond hair in a bob and wears a plastic striped black and white dress that reads "window shuttle, machine package, magnetic over" with black leather gloves and square futuristic white glasses.
She stands in front of an old fashioned metal microphone.
A sign behind her reads "Vocab" in a column decreasing in size.

Professor P stands in front of a keyboard and says I AM.
TODAY THE WORD IS

He turns to the screen behind him and reads APPROPRIATE
IT IS AN ADJECTIVE
WHICH MEANS
ESPECIALLY SUITABLE,
FITTING OR PROPER,
AS IN, YOU
ALWAYS BEHAVE
IN AN APPROPRIATE
MANNER ON STAGE.

She says THANKS, PROFESSOR P.
YOU'RE TOO KIND.

She takes her glasses off as she says THAT REMINDS ME OF WHEN
I WAS JUST A YOUNG GIRL
GROWING UP, DREAMING
OF BECOMING A STAR.
MY MOTHER WANTED TO
GO TO A RESTAURANT,
BUT I WANTED
TO PERFORM.

He says GO ON.

She says SO, WE WENT TO
THE RESTAURANT,
BUT I DECIDED I WAS
GOING TO PERFORM ANYWAY.
SO I SANG FOR
MY SPAGHETTI!
AND DID YOUR MUM
THINK THAT SINGING
FOR YOUR SPAGHETTI
WAS PROPER BEHAVIOUR?
NOT AT ALL.
WE WENT HOME
SHORTLY AFTER.
HIT IT!

She spells out the Word and the letters pop into view.

She sings SOMETHING THAT IS FITTING FOR
THE SITUATION YOU'RE IN
YOU'RE IN
BEING QUIET IN
THE LIBRARY
LOUD IN THE PARK
OH, OH, OH, USING
A FLASHLIGHT
IF IT'S REALLY DARK.
FITS JUST RIGHT
GOOD FOR DAY AND NIGHT

The word flashes on screen as Professor P says YES, WELL, I'D SAY IT'S
AN APPROPRIATE TIME
TO END THE SHOW.
SEE YOU NEXT
TIME, WORD FANS.

They keep dancing as the image fades to black and a logo of TVO Kids appears.
