Mathemagician Eric appears on screen. He’s in his mid-twenties. He has short dark brown hair and a beard. He wears a red T-shirt with the show’s logo, blue jeans and red Tennis shoes.
The screen turns red and the logo of the show appears next. It reads "MathXplosion." Meanwhile, cones, cubes and dices float around it.
Kids voices sing a song with lyrics that go

IT'S NOT A TRICK

The episode starts with Eric standing in a workroom playing with a green die floating in the air.
He says I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW
THAT I HAVE X-RAY VISION.
IT'S TRUE.
He puts on some black-rimmed futuristic glasses.
Eric continues
SEE THIS STACK OF DICE?
BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I CAN SEE
THROUGH THEM AND TELL YOU
THE SUM OF ALL THE NUMBERS
ON THE HIDDEN FACES.
The screen zooms out and reveals a pile of three large white dice next to him. Some other small ones are on the table.
Eric says WHAT, YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME?
WELL, STICK AROUND, BECAUSE
BY USING THIS ONE EASY
TRICK, YOU CAN DO IT TOO.
(music plays)
Next, the large dice are on the table.
Eric says FOR MY NEXT TRICK,
I'LL NEED A VOLUNTEER.
He snaps his fingers and a purple smoke cloud brings to the workroom a new version of himself. This one has a blue T-shirt, instead.
Eric in blue gives a thumbs up.
Eric says HELLO.
OKAY, SO PLEASE SPIN THOSE
DICE AND STACK THEM ONE ON
TOP OF ANOTHER.
I'LL TURN AROUND
SO I CAN'T SEE.
Eric in blue takes a die and Eric tries to spy.
When given a hard watch, her changes the tone of his voice and says OKAY, ALL RIGHT.
(music plays)
Meanwhile, Eric in blue puts the dice in a new pile.
He says SO HOW DID WE DO?
Eric turns around covering his vision with the palm of his hand.
He says GREAT.
NOW, WITHOUT SEEING THEM, I
CAN TELL YOU THAT THE SUM
OF ALL THE HIDDEN FACES
IN THE STACK IS...
ABRACADABRA, ABRACAZEEN...
THE SUM OF THE
HIDDEN FACES IS 17.
The bases of the dice blink as Eric guesses. Eric in blue looks suspicious, first, and the confused.
Eric says YEAH.
WHAT, DON'T
BELIEVE ME?
ADD THEM UP AND
CHECK FOR YOURSELF.
Eric in blue adds the numbers in the dice. As he counts, captions of the numbers appear onscreen. It reads "3 plus 6 plus 1 plus 6 plus 1 equals 17."
Eric says HOW DID I KNOW?
ALLOW ME TO SHARE THE
SECRET OF THE DICE.
SHH.
Eric in blue seems shocked. He looks like he can’t believe it. A new purple smoke cloud makes him disappear.
Eric continues
OKAY, SO MAYBE I DON'T
HAVE X-RAY VISION EXACTLY.
HERE'S THE SECRET.
ON ALL REGULAR DIE, THE SUM
OF ANY TWO OPPOSITE FACES
WILL ALWAYS BE 7.
THE OPPOSITE

Now Eric shows the trick and how dice work. A dynamic clip shows the calculations with dice. Three different rows combine numbers in dice that sum up 7.

The blackboard in the back turns into a screen. On it, numbers appear. It reads "3 times 7 equals 21." Next, a new clip reenacts the experiment with Eric in blue and shows Eric taking a glance at the top face of the die. The caption "21 minus 4 equals 17" appears on the screen.
