Text reads, “Jasmine and Jambo”.

Jasmine says, JASMINE.

Jambo adds, AND JAMBO.

Jambo, a blue creature taking the form of a tricycle, rolls down a red, green, and yellow ramp. Jasmine, a red, green, and yellow creature holds onto Jambo’s handlebars.

Jasmine and Jambo sing,
FA-RE-TI-TI-FA
TI-DO-RE-MI-FA-SO-LA-FA
DO-RE-MI-FA-SO-LA
FA-RE-TI-TI-FA
TI-DO-RE-MI-FA-SO-LA-FA
DO-RE-MI-FA-SO-LA-TI-SO
RE-MI-FA-SO-LA-TI
RE-DO-TI-LA-SO-FA-MI-RE-RE
RE-RE.

A narrator says, "AAAAAARGH!"

Voices say,
OOH!
AAH!

Jasmine fishes on an island. She has a round head, one eye, and red hair tied up with a blue headband.

Jambo sleeps on the island while he leans on a tree. He is a large, blue, lump-like creature wearing a white bow tie and a blue fedora.

(Snoring)

Jambo wakes up.

He says,
AH, JASMINE.
IT'S SO NICE TO BE HERE, JUST
DOING SOME FISHING.

Jasmine replies,
BUT WE HAVEN'T CAUGHT
ANYTHING, JAMBO!

Jambo says,
WELL, I'VE JUST COME TO CATCH
A FEW MUSICAL IDEAS.
HEY, THEY'RE BITING!

Jambo reels in a Lalala musical note on the fishing rod.

(Laughing)

Jambo and the Lalala look at one another.

Jambo says, OH!

He holds a horn up to his ear.

(Whispering indistinctly)

The Lalala whispers into the horn.

Jambo replies,
PLAY THE FLUTE WITH YOUR NOSE?
THAT'S NOTHING!
I CAN EVEN PLAY IT WITH MY
EAR!

Jambo drops the Lalala back into the water.

(Playing flute)

Jambo plays his flute with his ear. Jasmine points out to the water.

She says,
OH!
WHAT'S THAT OVER THERE?
A BOTTLE?

A yellow bottle floats in the water near the island. Jambo casts the fishing line.

He says,
OOH, THAT'S LOVELY!
I'M REALLY THIRSTY.

Jambo reels in the bottle. Jasmine pulls it off the line and looks inside it.

(Shrieking)

Jasmine finds a rolled-up piece of paper in the bottle.

She says,
MAYBE IT'S A MESSAGE FROM A
SHIPWRECKED SAILOR!
AH!
IT'S A SONG!

Jasmine pulls sheet music out of the bottle.

Jambo replies, OH?

He places his hat on his head.

Jasmine says,
IT'S CALLED "A MORNING IN THE
SPRING WITH THE LITTLE BIRDS
SINGING."

Jambo looks at the sheet music.

He says,
INTERESTING.
IT'S TO BE PLAYED ON THE
CLARINET.
THIS IS A GLISSANDO AND THIS
PART IS A TRILL!
IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO PLAY.

Jasmine replies,
IF IT WAS SENT TO US, IT MUST
BE FOR A REASON.
WE HAVE TO PLAY IT!

Jambo asks, ARE YOU SURE?

Jasmine nods.

She replies, MM-HMM!

Jambo says,
IT'S VERY COMPLICATED!
TAKE A LOOK AT IT!
ALL RIGHT, THEN.
FULL STEAM AHEAD FOR SOUNDLAND!

Jambo leaps onto the water and turns into a tugboat. Jasmine jumps on.

Later, in Soundland, the sheet music rests on an easel.

Jasmine says,
A MORNING IN THE SPRING WITH
THE LITTLE BIRDS SINGING!

She plays the clarinet.

(Upbeat notes sounding)

Jasmine stops playing at looks at the sheet music.

She says,
OH!
I GOT IT WRONG!
DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT!
WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES!

(Upbeat notes sounding)

Jasmine pays the clarinet again.

Jambo says,
JASMINE, YOU PLAYED
"DABA-DA DA-DA DA-DA DAAAA"!
IT SHOULD BE "DABA-DA DA-DA
DA-DA DAAAA"!

Jasmine replies,
I'LL GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME.

(Upbeat notes sounding)

Jasmine plays the clarinet.

(Growling)

Jasmine stops playing. She looks upset.

Jambo says,
NO, NO.
IT GOES "DABA-DA DA-DA DA-DA
DAAAA"!

Doodoowah and Doobeedoo watch Jasmine while she reads the sheet music again.

Jasmine says, NOW I'VE GOT IT!

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jasmine’s hair stands on edge. She stops playing.

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jasmine’s hair is blown back. She stops playing while Doodoowah falls off a tree branch.

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jasmine stops playing again.

(Yowling)

Doobeedoo leaps off a platform.

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jasmine stops playing. She leaves the clarinet floating in the air while she steps off the platform.

(Growling)

Jasmine returns to the platform and stomps her feet.

She shouts,
IT'S NO USE!
HMPH!

Jasmine looks upset as she sits down.

Jambo says,
LET ME SHOW YOU HOW IT SHOULD
BE PLAYED.
IT'S AS EASY AS FALLING OFF A
LOG!

Jambo stands on the platform and holds his clarinet. Doodoowah, Doobeedoo, and Ta-da watch him from below.

(Upbeat notes sounding)

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jambo’s hat floats in the air. He stops playing and looks shocked.

Jasmine says,
WELL?
HAVE YOU GOT IT?

Jambo replies,
I ADMIT, IT'S A LITTLE BIT
TRICKY... EVEN FOR ME!

Jambo looks at the sheet music again.

Jasmine says,
I THINK IT'S MY TURN.

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jasmine plays her clarinet. She looks angry and stops.

Jasmine shouts, AAH!

Jambo says, LEAVE IT TO ME!

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jambo tries to play the song. He fails.

The sun looks unimpressed while it watches Jasmine and Jambo from the sky.

(Both grunting and yelling)

(Screaming)

Meanwhile, the Lalalas, three musical notes, shower under flowers buds in a tree.

(Lalalas singing)

(Discordant notes sounding)

The Lalalas hear Jasmine and Jambo play their clarinets. They fall off a branch.

(Yelping)

(Discordant notes sounding)

More Lalalas look shocked as the clarinet playing is heard throughout Soundland. Jasmine and Jambo lie on the platform.

The Lalalas say, OOH!

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jasmine tries to play again. She stops.

Jasmine says, AAH!

(Discordant notes sounding)

Jambo says,
BY TCHAIKOVSKY'S WHISKERS!
IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!

He raises his hands in the air.

Jasmine replies,
WE'RE NOT GOING TO GIVE UP!
WHATEVER WOULD THE PERSON
WHO SENT US THE SCORE THINK?
LET'S TRY AGAIN!

Later, Jasmine stands in front of Jambo.

They both wave their arms and say,
"A MORNING IN THE SPRING WITH
THE LITTLE BIRDS SINGING."

Jasmine says, I WILL START!

Jambo replies,
NO, I WILL!
OOH!

Jambo and Jasmine fight over the clarinet.

Jasmine shouts, AAH!

Jambo says, OOH!

Jasmine and Jambo pull the clarinet back and forth.

Jasmine shouts, AAH!

Jambo says,
OOH!
OOH!

Jasmine says, AAH!

Jambo and Jasmine fall off the platform.

(Cheering)

Doodoowah, Doobeedoo, Ta-Da, and the Lalalas bounce up and down while they cheer. Jasmine and Jambo get up and watch them.

Jasmine whispers,
WHY ARE THEY CLAPPING?

Jambo answers,
BECAUSE WE DIDN'T MANAGE TO
PLAY "A MORNING IN THE SPRING
WITH THE LITTLE BIRDS SINGING",
BUT IN THE END, WE PLAYED
SOMETHING EVEN BETTER!

(Cheering)

Ta-Da flies across the sky.

(Clearing throat)

Doodoowah, Doobeedoo, Ta-Da, and the Lalalas gather in front of Jasmine and Jambo.

Jasmine says,
FRIENDS!
WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT...

Jasmine and Jambo wave their arms in the air.

They say,
"A MORNING IN THE
SPRING WITH BACKGROUND
SHOUTING."

Colourful shapes appear around the sheet music.

Jasmine and Jambo sing,
OOH, AAH, OOH, AAH
OOH, AAH!

They play the song together.

Jambo sings,
THE WORLD AROUND US,
AS WE KNOW
IS OFTEN RULED
BY A CURIOUS LAW

Jasmine jumps in shallow puddles.

She sings,
THAT MEANS IF SOMETHING
CAN GO WRONG
IT WILL GO WRONG
BEFORE TOO LONG

Jambo rides on the backs of six Doobeedoos.

Jambo sings,
BUT I SAY IF YOU HAVE TRIED
AND IT'S A MESS

Jasmine and Jambo sing,
YOUR NEXT ATTEMPT
COULD BRING SUCCESS

Jasmine, Jambo, Doodoowah, Doobeedoo, Ta-Da, and the Lalalas fall through a crack in the ground.

Jambo sings,
SO EVERYONE CAN
MAKE MISTAKES
AND THINK THEY DON'T
HAVE WHAT IT TAKES

Jasmine sings,
BUT GIVING UP
IS NOT THE WAY
YOU'RE GETTING BETTER
EVERY DAY

Jasmine and Jambo sing,
AND IF YOUR PATIENCE
HAS RUN OUT
YOU CAN ALWAYS SCREAM
AND SHOUT!
OOH, AAH, OOH, AAH
OOH, AAH!

Jasmine and Jambo smile while they shout at one another.

Doodoowah, Doobeedoo, Ta-Da, and the Lalalas bounce up and down while they follow Jasmine and Jambo who play their clarinets.

Later they all sit on the island. Jasmine writes a note.

She says,
"DEAR... FRIENDS,
WE RECEIVED YOUR COMPOSITION.
WE DIDN'T MANAGE TO PLAY IT,
BUT THAT'S NO PROBLEM!
WE THINK IT'S REALLY NICE!
AND WE'LL KEEP ON PRACTISING!
WE'RE SENDING YOU A SONG THAT
WE WROTE OURSELVES!"

(Laughing)

Jasmine adds,
"IT'S A BIT...
DIFFERENT, BUT WE HOPE YOU'LL
ENJOY PLAYING IT AS MUCH AS WE
DO.
LOTS OF LOVE FROM JASMINE..."

Jambo says,
"AND JAMBO!"
ONE, TWO, AND…

Jambo picks up Jasmine in his hand.

They say, OH…

Jasmine tosses the bottle with her note in it into the water. It bounces off Ta-Da’s head.
