(lively electronic music plays)

In animation, two aliens fly across space in a spaceship.

Blynk is a rectangular green alien with spiky hair and long fangs.

Aazoo is a round orange alien with 3 eyes.

With the help of M.A.V.I.S., the spaceship computer, and real Earth scientists, they listen to real Earth children's questions and try to find answers.

A song plays that says BLYNK AND AAZOO
I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU

The name of the show reads "Blynk and Aazoo. Imagine, investigate, invent!"

In the spaceship, Blynk types in a computer and Aazoo builds a tower with candies. Then, an alarm beeps frightening Aazoo.

(SIREN)

M.A.V.I.S. says INQUIRY BOOTH TRANSMITTING,
INCOMING INQUIRY.

A real life girl called Johanna pops up on a screen and says HI, I'M JOHANNA, AND I
HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU.

Johanna is around 10, with long black hair and wears a pink T-shirt under a black mottled jacket.

Blynk and Aazoo say OKAY!

Johanna says MY ROOM'S A TOTAL MESS
AND IT MADE ME WONDER,
IS THERE A ROBOT THAT
CAN HELP ME CLEAN UP?

M.A.V.I.S. says INVENTION POTENTIAL
EXTREMELY HIGH.
ROBOTS ARE PRETTY HELPFUL,
IF I SAY SO MYSELF.

Blynk and Aazoo whisper.

M.A.V.I.S. says PLEASE HOLD WHILE BLYNK AND
AAZOO FORMULATE AN ANSWER.
THEY DO NOT HAVE AN
ANSWER AT THIS TIME.

Johanna says OH.

Blynk says JANA M.A.V.I.S NATASA!

M.A.V.I.S. says CALLING INTERSTELLAR
SCIENCE COUNCIL, CAPTAIN.

A real life scientist called Aaron pops up on another screen and says OH, HI, EVERYONE.
HOW CAN I HELP YOU TODAY?

Aaron is in his thirties, with shirt brown hair and wears glasses and a red and black striped shirt.

Johanna says HI, I'M JOHANNA
AND I NEED TO CLEAN
MY VERY MESSY ROOM.
I WAS WONDERING,
COULD I GET A ROBOT TO HELP ME?

Aaron says HI, YOHANNA, I'M AARON.
SO HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT
OF BUILDING A ROBOT?

Aazoo eats a candy and throws the paper on the floor.

Johanna says BUILDING ONE MYSELF?
FUN!
HOW DO I DO THAT?

Aaron says YOU NEED A ROBOT WITH JUST
THE RIGHT PARTS FOR THE JOB.

Blynk gets angry with Aazoo and picks up the papers.

Aaron says WELL IT LOOKS LIKE
YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE
WHO NEEDS A CLEANING ROBOT.
BLYNK, PULL UP THE
ROBOT FILES PLEASE.
SUBCATEGORY PARTS.

Blynk throws the wrapping papers on the trash. Then, he activates a screen.

A clip shows different types of robots functioning.

M.A.V.I.S. says ROBOTS ARE MACHINES ABLE TO
CARRY OUT
DIFFERENT TASKS.
THEY ARE USUALLY
PROGRAMMED BY COMPUTERS.
THEY USE SENSORS TO SEE
THE WORLD AROUND THEM
AND THEIR ARMS ARE HANDS,
SOMETIMES CALLED EFFECTORS,
HAVE MUCH BETTER GRIP,
AND MANY TIMES A
HUMAN'S STRENGTH.

Johanna says THAT'S GOOD! THEY COULD LIFT
A BED TO CLEAN UNDER IT.

Blynk nods.

M.A.V.I.S. says ALL ROBOTS NEED
ENERGY TO MAKE THEM WORK.
THIS CAN COME FROM
A BATTER PACK,
SOLAR PANELS, ELECTRICAL ACCESS,
OR MY PERSONAL FAVORITE,
A RADIOISOTOPE
THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR.

Blynk and Aazoo look confused.

Johanna says I HAVE BATTERIES.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED?

M.A.V.I.S. says IF YOU REQUIRE YOUR ROBOT
TO MOVE AROUND A PHYSICAL SPACE,
YOU WILL NEED TO ADD WHEELS,
OR MECHANICAL LEGS.

Johanna says GOT IT.
LEGS.
WHEELS.
WHAT ELSE?

Aaron says YOU'LL NEED AN AUDIO CHIP SO
IT CAN HEAR YOUR INSTRUCTIONS
AND SPEAKERS IF YOU
WANT IT TO TALK BACK.

Johanna says I DEFINITELY WANT
A TALKING ROBOT.

Aaron says AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST,
THIS ROBOT WILL NEED
SOMETHING LIKE A BRAIN
TO HOLD ALL THAT INFORMATION.
THIS IS MOST OFTEN A
MICROCHIP OR MICROCONTROLLER.

M.A.V.I.S. says I HAVE AN EXCEPTIONALLY
LARGE ONE OF THOSE.

Blynk says AAZOO?

Aazoo messes up objects looking for something. Next, he tries to assemble two screws.

M.A.V.I.S. says I DON'T BELIEVE THOSE
PARTS GO TOGETHER AAZOO.

Johanna says BUILDING A ROBOT SEEMS
A BIT COMPLICATED.
CAN'T I JUST BORROW ONE INSTEAD?
THERE'S ROBOTS ALL
OVER THE PLACE, RIGHT?

Aaron says THERE ARE!
BLYNK, LET'S SHOW OUR
FRIENDS SOME EXAMPLES
OF THE KINDS OF
ROBOTS WE MIGHT FIND.

Blynk pushes a button and the clip continues. It shows robotic arms building devices and performing different activities.

M.A.V.I.S. says ROBOTS OCCUPY MANY
ROLES IN MANY INDUSTRIES.
WE HELP HUMANS COOK,
MILK COWS,
MAKE BRICKS,
WASH WINDOWS,
OR VACUUM FLOORS.

Johanna says VACUUMING?
I NEED THAT ONE.

Shocked, Aazoo looks at the mess he left.

M.A.V.I.S. says BIGGER ROBOTS
HAVE BIGGER JOBS.
THEY ARE USED IN FACTORIES
TO MANUFACTURE CARS,
CANDY, AND ELECTRONICS.

Johanna says COOL!

Aaron says YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS COOL?
ROBOTS IN SPACE.

Johanna says NO WAY! WHAT ARE
THEY DOING IN SPACE?

M.A.V.I.S. says ROBOTS ARE
DEPLOYED TO SPACE
TO STUDY THE COMPOSITION
OF PLANETS, STARS,
AND THE UNIVERSE.
THEY'RE EQUIPPED
TO TAKE PICTURES,
GATHER SAMPLES,
AND MEASURE SOLAR WINDS.

Aaron says YOU KNOW, THERE WAS EVEN
A ROBOT THAT EXPLORED
THE SURFACE OF MARS
FOR OVER TEN YEARS.

Johanna says WHAT? THAT'S AS LONG
AS I'VE BEEN ALIVE.

Aaron says IT JUST ROLLED AROUND
SHOOTING LASERS AT ROCKS
AND TAKING SELFIES.

M.A.V.I.S. says INACCURATE.
IT TAKES CHEMICAL
ANALYSIS OF SOIL SAMPLES,
MEASURES ATMOSPHERE LEVELS

Aaron says I'M JUST KIDDING MAVIS.
IT DID A LOT OF REALLY
IMPORTANT SCIENCE
BUT IT'S FUNNY TO THINK
OF IT ROLLING AROUND
ON THE SURFACE AND
TAKING SELFIES.

The clip shows what Aaron is telling.

M.A.V.I.S. says I SEE.

Aaron chuckles.

M.A.V.I.S. says YES, THAT IS AMUSING.

Johanna says WHOA, AAZOO'S
DOING THE ROBOT DANCE.
GO AAZOO!

(electronic music plays)

Aazoo slips and falls.

Aaron says HMM, I THINK YOU'RE GOING
TO NEED TO LEARN SOME
NEW MOVES AAZOO.

Johanna says OH, MAYBE THAT'S WHAT I NEED.
ONE OF THOSE ROBOTS YOU
COULD TEACH STUFF TO.

Aaron says AH, YOU MEAN A ROBOT WITH
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE,
OR A.I.

M.A.V.I.S. says INACCURATE.
THERE IS NOTHING ARTIFICIAL
ABOUT OUR INTELLIGENCE.
WE PREFER LEARNING ROBOTS.

Aaron says OKAY, LEARNING ROBOTS.
BLYNK, CAN YOU SHOW
US SOME IN ACTION?

Blynk types in.

M.A.V.I.S. says ACCESSING DATA.

Aaron says SCIENTISTS ARE
ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WAYS
TO MAKE ROBOTS MORE HUMAN-LIKE.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
MEANS THAT ROBOTS CAN
BE TAUGHT NEW THINGS AND ALSO
LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES.

A clip shows robots running and jumping backwards.

Johanna says JUST LIKE I DO.

M.A.V.I.S. says AFFIRMATIVE.
IN THE HOMES OF THE FUTURE,
ROBOTS WILL LEARN TO
PUT OUT THE GARBAGE,
MAKE DINNER,
WASH DISHES,
She wishes ONE DAY WE WILL
TAKE OVER THE WORLD.
M.A.V.I.S. says DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD?

Johanna nods and Blynk looks surprised.

Johanna says SO,
IF I ASKED A LEARNING ROBOT
TO CLEAN MY ROOM, WOULD IT?

M.A.V.I.S. says IF YOU ASK
NICELY, PERHAPS.

Aaron says YOHANA, I THINK YOU
MIGHT LIKE THESE ROBOTS.
WE'VE BEEN TEACHING THEM
TO PLAY OUR FAVORITE GAMES.

Now, the clip shows robots playing ping-pong and chess.

M.A.V.I.S. says I REALLY ENJOY CHESS
MYSELF.

Johanna says OKAY, FORGET CLEANING MY ROOM.
I WANT A ROBOT THAT I
CAN PLAY GAMES WITH.

M.A.V.I.S. says INSPIRATION DETECTED.
INVENTION STATION
IS READY CAPTAIN.

Aaron says OOH,
I THINK BLYNK'S GOT ANOTHER
IDEA FOR AN INVENTION.

Blynk goes in the invention room and creates a robot dog.

Blynk says OOH.

Johanna says WELL, WHAT DID
YOU INVENT BLYNK?

Aaron says ARE YOU GOING TO SHOW US?

Johanna says AWW, IT'S SO CUTE
BLYNK.

Blynk places the robot dog on the floor and it starts barking and running. Blynk chases it.

(laughing)

The dog jumps on top of Aazoo.

Johanna says I THINK YOUR ROBOT DOG
THINKS AAZOO'S A ROBOT TOO.

Aaron says GOOD LUCK WITH
YOUR ROBOTS BLYNK.
YOHANNA, I HOPE I WAS
HELPFUL WITH YOUR QUESTIONS.

Johanna says YA, THAT WAS SUPER INTERESTING.
I THINK I'LL BE A ROBOT
INVENTOR WHEN I GROW UP.
WELL, BYE EVERYONE.

M.A.V.I.S. says THE SEARCH FOR
INVENTIONS CONTINUES.
ALL SYSTEMS ENGAGED.

(electronic music plays)

The end credits roll.

The song says BLYNK AND AAZOO
I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU.
