8 year old Ella, who has curly black hair, runs down a staircase with a toy rocket ship. She wears a teal space suit, and a helmet with animal ears.
[Giggling]
Ella runs into a living room and gives her little sister, Tilly, the rocket ship.
[Upbeat music plays]
A singer sings, COME WITH ME, TO THE STARS.
Ella’s mom picks up Ella’s little sister and smiles as Ella runs outside. Outside the house, in outer space, Ella runs past her dad.
The singer sings, THE GALAXY IS OURS!
Ella waves to her dad.
She says, BYE DAD!
Ella jumps onto her moon scooter, a circular spacecraft, and takes off.
People say, LET'S GO!
The singer sings, LOOK AT ALL THE WONDER.
INTER-STELLAR.
Ella flies over a planet with Madhu, a blue and green alien, and Slippy, a boy with black hair who flies a red spacecraft.
The signer sings, LOOK UP SO MUCH SPLENDOUR.
INTER-STELLAR.
Ella flies on Madhu.
The singer sings, LOOK OUT FOR ADVENTURE.
Ella and Slippy explore a planet together with Maggie, a blue star. Elsewhere in space, Slippy and Madhu look startled.
They say, WOAH!
They dodge Ella and her moon scooter.
The singer sings, COME EXPLORE THE MILKY WAY!
Ella and her family sit on a spacecraft.
The singer sings, LOOK UP!

Ella, her family, and her friends admire a giant colourful cloud together.

On Ella, Slippy, and Madhu’s asteroid clubhouse, Madhu holds Ella up to a tall arch. Ella tapes a poster to the arch that has drawings of the three friends.
From the ground, Slippy says, A LITTLE TO THE LEFT?
Stretched thin, Madhu takes a careful step to the right.
Slippy says, NO.
A LITTLE TO THE RIGHT. WAIT.
HOLD ON.
Groaning, Ella says, LET ME GUESS.
A LITTLE TO THE LEFT NOW.
Slippy says, YEAH!
HOW’D YA KNOW?
Ella says, SLIPPY, I KNOW YOU WANT
EVERYTHING TO BE PERFECT
FOR OUR CLUBHOUSE CELEBRATION,
BUT I CAN'T FEEL MY
ARMS ANYMORE.
Slippy says, THIS IS IMPORTANT.
IT'S BEEN A WHOLE YEAR SINCE
WE BUILT OUR AMAZING CLUBHOUSE.
Ella lifts the poster.
Slippy says, NO, TO THE LEFT.
The asteroid shakes.
Slippy and Madhu say, WOAH!
Madhu sways back and forth with Ella.
Ella says, WHOA!
WHAT WAS THAT?
She leaves the poster taped to the arch.
Slippy says, WATCH IT!
ELLA!
[Dramatic music plays]
A piece of space junk flies toward the clubhouse. Ella’s eyes widen.
[Ella screaming]
Madhu moves Ella out of the way. The space junk rips through the friend’s poster.
Slippy says, WOAH!
THERE'S MORE, TAKE COVER!
Back on the ground, with Madhu in their normal size, Ella and Madhu dive behind the clubhouse couch with Slippy.
[Yelling]
Another piece of space junk flies through the clubhouse.
[Soft music plays]
Slippy peaks over the couch. He steps out as Glitch, Madhu and Ella peak over the top.
Madhu says, OUR POSTER.
Slippy says, OUR CLUBHOUSE!
He picks up a piece of space junk and frowns.
He says, I CAN FIX THIS.
[Cheerful music plays]
Slippy looks determined. He climbs the ladder to the clubhouse storage container.
[Clanging]
[Sawing]
Ella and Madhu look at the storage container curiously.
Madhu asks, WHAT ARE THESE THINGAMAJIGS?
WHERE ARE THEY COMING FROM?
Maggie appears from Ella’s watch.
She says, APPEARS TO BE SPACE JUNK.
HUMANS HAVE LEFT A LOT OF DEBRIS
AND BROKEN MACHINERY
FLOATING IN SPACE.
IT IS LABELED JUNK
BECAUSE IT NO LONGER SERVES
A USEFUL PURPOSE.
Maggie shows a projection of different examples of space junk.
Slippy says, WELL, THAT DEPENDS ON
WHAT YOU DO WITH IT.
Maggie says, ZOOMING IN, IT LOOKS TO BE
A WHOLE STREAM OF SPACE JUNK.
WHICH IS…LET'S SEE, YES,
ON A STEADY COURSE
FOR THE CLUBHOUSE.
The projection shows a flying stream of space junk destroying the clubhouse. Ella and Slippy look worried.
Ella asks, WILL IT CAUSE MORE DAMAGE?
Maggie asks, MUCH MORE.
CORRECTION.
MUCH, MUCH MORE.
Ella’s eyes widen.
She says, OH, NO!
WE CAN'T LIKE JUNK RUIN
OUR AWESOME CLUBHOUSE.
COME ON!
Ella jumps on her moon scooter. Madhu and Maggie follow her off the clubhouse asteroid. Slippy heads to his space racer but pauses. He looks at a small piece of space junk thoughtfully.
[Cheerful music plays]
Elsewhere in the galaxy, Ella smiles as she flies with her friends. They reach a stream of space junk racing through space.
[Soft music plays]
Ella says, JUST LOOK AT ALL THIS GARBAGE.
YUCK!
Madhu grabs a garden tool out of the garbage stream.
Madhu says, OH, GREAT GARBAGE!
I FOUND A BACK SCRATCHER.
Madhu tries to scratch their back with the garden tool. Slippy takes the tool from Madhu.
He says, OR A RAKE.
EITHER WAY, COOL FIND.
Ella says, HMPH.
A COOL FIND UNTIL
IT SMASHES OUR CLUBHOUSE.
HOW DO WE GET RID OF THIS JUNK?
Maggie says, WELL, USUALLY SPACE JUNK
COMPLETELY BURNS UP IN PLANETARY
ATMOSPHERES ALL ON ITS OWN.
Ella says, ATMOSPHERE'S A LAYER
OF GAS THAT SURROUNDS
A PLANET OR A MOON.
MAGGIE.
WHAT'S THE CLOSEST PLANET?
IS IT PLUTO?
PLUTO IS A DWARF PLANET.
Ella says, GOOD ENOUGH.
LET'S ROUND IT UP,
AND GIVE IT A PUSH TO PLUTO.
[Upbeat music plays]
Ella releases a hook and cable from the back of her moon scooter. She hooks a large piece of space junk and pulls it closer to her moon scooter.
Ella says, OFF YOU GO!
She spins her moon scooter and launches the junk toward a small planet in the distance. Ella watches the junk fly toward the planet.
She cheers, YEAH!
The space junk drops onto the planet.
Ella says, OH…
YIKES.
MAGGIE, I THOUGHT YOU SAID
IT WOULD BURN UP.
Maggie says, YOU ASKED WHAT
THE CLOSEST PLANET WAS,
NOT WHAT THE CLOSEST PLANET
THAT HAS ENOUGH ATMOSPHERE
TO BURN UP SPACE JUNK WAS.
ATMOSPHERE IS A LAYER OF GAS
SURROUNDING A…
Ella says, with Maggie, PLANET OR A MOON.
Maggie continues, PLUTO HAS ALMOST NO ATMOSPHERE,
SO IT WON'T BURN ANYTHING UP.
NEPTUNE, HOWEVER, HAS A MUCH
THICKER ATMOSPHERE.
Ella says, OKAY.
NEPTUNE IT IS.
She flies away. Slippy takes another look at the small piece of space junk from the clubhouse. He flies beside the stream of space junk with Ella and Madhu. Madhu lies on a piece of the space junk.
Ella orders, EVERYONE GRAB AS MUCH JUNK
AS YOU CAN
AND WE LL HALL IT NEPTUNE.
Ella and Slippy use their cables to pull an old solar panel out of the space junk stream.
Slippy says, ELLA,
YOU CAN'T JUST DESTROY
ALL THIS STUFF.
Ella says, SLIPPY, IT'S GARBAGE.
WE NEED TO GET RID OF IT.
TO PROTECT OUR CLUBHOUSE.
Madhu watches the other many pieces of space junk in the stream.
Slippy says, YOU SEE GARBAGE?
I SEE A SOLAR PANEL THAT
I CAN REPURPOSE.
He grabs the solar panel. Ella launches her moon scooter cable onto a chair.
Slippy continues, AND A SUPER COMFY SEAT!
He sits in the chair.
He adds, AND NUTS AND BOLTS
THAT I CAN USE
TO MAKE A BRAND-NEW CUP
HOLDER FOR MY SUPER COMFY SEAT.
Maggie appears from Ella’s watch.
Ella says, YOU CAN'T KEEP
EVERYTHING SLIPPY.
IF WE SAVE IT ALL,
THE WHOLE UNIVERSE
WILL FILL UP WITH JUNK.
Maggie says, THAT IS TECHNICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
Ella says, I MEANT, EVENTUALLY.
Madhu hovers between the two friends.
Slippy says, BUT YOU CAN'T JUST THROW AWAY
THINGS THAT ARE STILL USEFUL.
THAT'S WHAT CREATED THIS
PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Madhu looks at the arguing friends. Madhu looks overwhelmed.
Madhu says, OH, DEAR.
I THINK YOU'RE BOTH RIGHT.
Maggie says, THEY DO BOTH MAKE VALID POINTS,
BUT WHETHER IT IS JUNK
OR TREASURE,
IT IS GOING
TO SMASH THE CLUBHOUSE
UNLESS YOU
DO SOMETHING IN 7.2 MINUTES.
She shows the clubhouse being destroyed by space junk.
Ella says, SO WE AGREE THEN.
THE JUNK GOES.
Slippy says, NO, I'M
GOING TO SAVE THE CLUBHOUSE
BY SAVING THIS STUFF.
Ella says, FINE, YOU DO IT YOUR WAY.
I’LL DO IT MINE.
Ella flies away from her friends. Slippy grabs the chair and heads toward his space racer.
Madhu says, I CAN HELP BOTH OF YOU!
Ella collects space junk from the stream in one big ball. She pulls the ball of junk behind her moon scooter. Madhu follows.
[Quick, upbeat music plays]
Ella looks determined as she collects more space junk. She looks at a piece she collects in her space grappler.
Ella says, EW!
YUCK!
SEE MADHU,
THIS IS JUNK.
She continues working.
Slippy says, WHOA!
CHECK THIS OUT, MADHU!
He drags a spacecraft out of the junk stream.
He says, THIS IS NOT JUNK!
Slippy puts a piece of space junk in the spacecraft.
He says, ELLA, COME HERE.
Ella flies over to the spacecraft.
She asks, WHAT AM I LOOKING AT?
Slippy jumps onto the spacecraft.
He says, IT'S A CHUNK
OF AN ACTUAL SPACE STATION.
He presses buttons on a control panel.
He says, I MIGHT EVEN BE ABLE
TO GET IT TO WORK AGAIN.
Ella says, ALL I SEE IS THE CHUNK PART.
CHUNK OF JUNK.
[Ella laughing]
Ella bangs her moon scooter against the space station. Lights on the space station come on. Flames burst out of the thrusters.
Slippy says, WHOA!
HEY, IT STILL WORKS!
The space station spins.
Slippy yells, OH NO!
Ella ducks out of the way. The ball of junk floats away from her.
[Dramatic music plays]
The ball of junk floats toward the clubhouse.
Ella says, IT'S HEADING FOR THE CLUBHOUSE!
Maggie says, ACCORDING
TO MY UPDATED CALCULATIONS,
YOU HAVE 4.7904 MINUTES BEFORE
IT DESTROYS THE CLUBHOUSE.
Slippy says, WE HAVE TO STOP IT NOW!
He jumps off the space station onto his space racer.
[Upbeat music plays]
The friends follow the ball of junk. Ella hooks the ball of junk with her moon scooter’s cable.
She says, I'VE GOT TO SLOW DOWN..
OR CHANGE
IT'S DIRECTION.
IS IT WORKING?
Maggie says, YES, BUT NOT ENOUGH AT THIS
VELOCITY.
IMPACT IS STILL IMMINENT.
Ella says, SLIPPY!
MAYBE YOUR CHUNK OF JUNK...
She shakes her head.
She says, I MEAN, A CHUNK OF SPACE
STATION HAS A HOOK.
MAYBE.
Slippy says, I’LL LOOK.
AND THANK YOUR
FOR NOT CALLING IT JUNK!
He flies back toward the space station.
Ella says, MADHU CAN YOU TRY
AND SLOW IT DOWN?
Madhu says, JUNK FRIEND! WAIT UP!
Madhu flies after the ball of junk. Madhu flies in front of the junk and leans against it. Ella disconnects her cable from the junk as Slippy flies up in the space station. Ella hops on board with Slippy. Slippy presses buttons on the control panel. Ella looks worried.
[Dramatic music plays]
Madhu says, OUR NEW JUNK FRIEND
IS VERY STUBBORN!
Slippy says, I THINK WE'VE GOT IT.
He lowers a cable from the space station.
He says, WE HAVE TO ATTACH IT.
MADHU!
Madhu grabs the cable and hooks it onto the ball of junk.
Madhu says, DONE, I LOVE WHEN WE ALL
WORK TOGETHER!
Slippy turns the space station around, and away from the clubhouse.
Ella says, OKAY, SLIPPY
THINK YOU CAN FIRE UP
THE THRUSTERS.
ON THIS THING ENOUGH
TO GET IT TO NEPTUNE?
Slippy says, ON IT!
I’LL USE SOME OF THIS
THIS OTHER STUFF TO GIVE
THE THRUSTERS MORE JUICE.
He grabs pieces of his collected space junk. He attaches a home-made thruster beside the space station’s thruster.
Slippy says, OKAY.
GO NOW!
Ella presses a big yellow button on the control panel. The thrusters come on and pushes the space station and ball of junk forward. The friends fly toward a blue planet.
Ella says, THERE'S NEPTUNE!
READY,
STEADY, GO!
The ball of junk is released from the space station. The friends watch it float toward Neptune.
They say, WOAH!
The junk disappears.
Ella says, OH, IT WORKED!
Madhu says, THAT WAS AMAZING.
Ella dances with her hands up.
Slippy says, TOO BAD WE HAD TO BLOW UP
ALL THAT TREASURE.
He looks sad. Ella slips. As she falls, she hits the big yellow button.
She says, WHOA!
Slippy says, NOT THE TURBO THRUSTERS!
The thrusters come on and the space station spins out of control. Madhu and Slippy are thrown out of the space station as Ella gets up off the floor.
[Dramatic music plays]
Ella screams, AAAAAH!
She presses buttons on the control panel. A force field forms around the open space.
Slippy and Madhu yell, ELLA!
Ella says, WHOA!
HANG ON GUYS!
I'LL SAVE YOU!
She looks at the control panel nervously.
She says, OR...
MAYBE YOU COULD SAVE ME!
Ella presses more buttons on the control panel.
A computer voice says, ACTIVATING EMERGENCY FORCE FIELD.
A large disc rises from under the space station.
Ella yells, SLIPPY!
HELP!
I CAN'T STOP IT!
COME ON, STOP.
She presses another button. Slippy appears in a combubble.
He says, LISTEN, ELLA, WE CAN'T STOP YOU.
Ella says, THAT'S NOT GREAT NEWS SLIPPY.
Slippy says, BUT I THINK YOU COULD STOP YOURSELF.
Ella says, HOW?
I PUSHED EVERY BUTTON
I CAN SEE.
Slippy says, YOUR GONNA HAVE TO USE THE
STUFF I LEFT IN THE STATION.
Ella says, SO THIS JUNK WILL SAVE ME?!
Slippy says, IT WILL.
AND IT'S NOT JUNK!
The space station moves toward Neptune.
Ella says, OKAY, I'M LISTENING.
Slippy says, GREAT. I'M GOING TO HELP YOU
MAKE A CONTROLLER.
JUST LIKE A VIDEO GAME
CONTROLLER.
Ella smiles. She grabs a joystick controller from Slippy’s findings.
Slippy says, PUSH IT
INTO THE SLOT ON THE CONSOLE
AND LOCK IT WITH THE PINS.
Ella screws the controller onto the control panel.
She says, OKAY, DONE.
Slippy says, NOW USE THE CONTROLLER
TO ROTATE THE STATION
BUILT IN HEAT SHIELD.
YOU'RE GOING TO USE THE HEAT
SHIELD TO BOUNCE OFF
NEPTUNE'S ATMOSPHERE.
BUT FIRST,
YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR ANGLE.
Ella sits at the control panel in the chair from the junk stream.
She says, I GOT THIS.
HUH? IS IT SUPER COMFY SEAT.
Ella leans back in the seat.
Slippy says, YOU CAN'T DIVE INTO IT.
YOU HAVE TO SKIP OVER IT
LIKE A STONE.
Ella pulls the joystick all the way back.
Slippy says, FASTER!
He and Madhu look scared. The space station starts to tip back.
Maggie appears and says, YOU ARE ABOUT TO.
ENTER NEPTUNE'S ATMOSPHERE.
Ella pulls on the joystick.
[Ella grunting]
The space station’s heat shield disc bounces and skips across Neptune’s atmosphere like a stone on water. Ella flies the station away from the planet.
[Celebratory music plays]
She says, YES! JUST LIKE
SKIPPING A STONE.
Madhu cheers, YOU DID IT!
Slippy cheers, WOO HOO!
Ella says, NO, WE DID IT.
She stops in front of her friends. The force field around the open space lowers.
She says, AND YOU KNOW.
THIS JUNK ISN'T TOO BAD.
I MEAN, WE'RE USING IT
ESPECIALLY TO SAVE PEOPLE.
IT'S PRETTY COOL.
Madhu says, SO JUNK IS OUR FRIEND NOW?
Slippy says, MOST OF IT BUT
SOME OF IT IS JUST JUNK.
Madhu hugs Slippy and Ella.
[Madhu laughing]
Ella says, OH SLIPPY.
Slippy smiles.
[Ella and Madhu laughing]
[Soft music plays]
Back at the clubhouse, the friend’s poster is taped together. Ella and Madhu sist on the couch with their eyes covered. Slippy and Glitch stand on a colourful dance floor.
Slippy says, TADA!
Ella and Madhu uncover their eyes.
Slippy says, IN HONOR OF OUR 1 YEAR CLUBHOUSE- AVERSARY,
A DANCE FLOOR!
Colourful lights hang on the space station.
Ella cheers, WOO HOO! YEAH!
[Madhu giggling]
Slippy jumps in the space station.
Ella cheers, WOO HOO!
Slippy hits different buttons on the space station’s control panel.
Ella cheers, YEAH!
Music plays from the space station and the dance floor lights change colours. Ella looks amazed.
[Funky music plays]
Ella says, I JUST HAVE ONE
THING TO SAY...
Together, she and Madhu say, DANCE PARTY!
Lights flicker around the clubhouse. Ella and Madhu dance on the dance floor. Slippy dances in the space station.
Ella says, I MEANT THIS JUNK IS
PRETTY COOL,
BUT HOW ARE YOU GOING TO FIND
USES FOR ALL OF THAT?
Slippy says, OH I HAVE SO MANY
PROJECTS PLANNED.
A ROCKET PROPELLED SEAT,
A BAGEL BOT, AN
AUTOMATED BACK SCRATCHER,
SELF-CLEANING DISHES…
Ella says, OH SLIPPY!
A piece of flying space junk bounces off the space station’s heat shield located at the top of the clubhouse and away from the friends.

Maggie says, ZOOMING IN, IT LOOKS TO BE
A WHOLE STREAM OF SPACE JUNK.
WHICH IS…LET'S SEE, YES,
ON A STEADY COURSE
FOR THE CLUBHOUSE.
The projection shows a flying stream of space junk destroying the clubhouse. Ella and Slippy look worried.
Ella asks, WILL IT CAUSE MORE DAMAGE?
Maggie asks, MUCH MORE.
CORRECTION.
MUCH, MUCH MORE.
Ella’s eyes widen.
She says, OH, NO!
WE CAN'T LIKE JUNK RUIN
OUR AWESOME CLUBHOUSE.
COME ON!
Ella jumps on her moon scooter. Madhu and Maggie follow her off the clubhouse asteroid. Slippy heads to his space racer but pauses. He looks at a small piece of space junk thoughtfully.
[Cheerful music plays]
Elsewhere in the galaxy, Ella smiles as she flies with her friends. They reach a stream of space junk racing through space.
[Soft music plays]
Ella says, JUST LOOK AT ALL THIS GARBAGE.
YUCK!
Madhu grabs a garden tool out of the garbage stream.
Madhu says, OH, GREAT GARBAGE!
I FOUND A BACK SCRATCHER.
Madhu tries to scratch their back with the garden tool. Slippy takes the tool from Madhu.
He says, OR A RAKE.
EITHER WAY, COOL FIND.
Ella says, HMPH.
A COOL FIND UNTIL
IT SMASHES OUR CLUBHOUSE.
HOW DO WE GET RID OF THIS JUNK?
Maggie says, WELL, USUALLY SPACE JUNK
COMPLETELY BURNS UP IN PLANETARY
ATMOSPHERES ALL ON ITS OWN.
Ella says, ATMOSPHERE'S A LAYER
OF GAS THAT SURROUNDS
A PLANET OR A MOON.
MAGGIE.
WHAT'S THE CLOSEST PLANET?
IS IT PLUTO?
PLUTO IS A DWARF PLANET.
Ella says, GOOD ENOUGH.
LET'S ROUND IT UP,
AND GIVE IT A PUSH TO PLUTO.
[Upbeat music plays]
Ella releases a hook and cable from the back of her moon scooter. She hooks a large piece of space junk and pulls it closer to her moon scooter.
Ella says, OFF YOU GO!
She spins her moon scooter and launches the junk toward a small planet in the distance. Ella watches the junk fly toward the planet.
She cheers, YEAH!
The space junk drops onto the planet.
Ella says, OH…
YIKES.
MAGGIE, I THOUGHT YOU SAID
IT WOULD BURN UP.
Maggie says, YOU ASKED WHAT
THE CLOSEST PLANET WAS,
NOT WHAT THE CLOSEST PLANET
THAT HAS ENOUGH ATMOSPHERE
TO BURN UP SPACE JUNK WAS.
ATMOSPHERE IS A LAYER OF GAS
SURROUNDING A…
Ella says, with Maggie, PLANET OR A MOON.
Maggie continues, PLUTO HAS ALMOST NO ATMOSPHERE,
SO IT WON'T BURN ANYTHING UP.
NEPTUNE, HOWEVER, HAS A MUCH
THICKER ATMOSPHERE.
Ella says, OKAY.
NEPTUNE IT IS.
She flies away. Slippy takes another look at the small piece of space junk from the clubhouse. He flies beside the stream of space junk with Ella and Madhu. Madhu lies on a piece of the space junk.
Ella orders, EVERYONE GRAB AS MUCH JUNK
AS YOU CAN
AND WE LL HALL IT NEPTUNE.
Ella and Slippy use their cables to pull an old solar panel out of the space junk stream.
Slippy says, ELLA,
YOU CAN'T JUST DESTROY
ALL THIS STUFF.
Ella says, SLIPPY, IT'S GARBAGE.
WE NEED TO GET RID OF IT.
TO PROTECT OUR CLUBHOUSE.
Madhu watches the other many pieces of space junk in the stream.
Slippy says, YOU SEE GARBAGE?
I SEE A SOLAR PANEL THAT
I CAN REPURPOSE.
He grabs the solar panel. Ella launches her moon scooter cable onto a chair.
Slippy continues, AND A SUPER COMFY SEAT!
He sits in the chair.
He adds, AND NUTS AND BOLTS
THAT I CAN USE
TO MAKE A BRAND-NEW CUP
HOLDER FOR MY SUPER COMFY SEAT.
Maggie appears from Ella’s watch.
Ella says, YOU CAN'T KEEP
EVERYTHING SLIPPY.
IF WE SAVE IT ALL,
THE WHOLE UNIVERSE
WILL FILL UP WITH JUNK.
Maggie says, THAT IS TECHNICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
Ella says, I MEANT, EVENTUALLY.
Madhu hovers between the two friends.
Slippy says, BUT YOU CAN'T JUST THROW AWAY
THINGS THAT ARE STILL USEFUL.
THAT'S WHAT CREATED THIS
PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Madhu looks at the arguing friends. Madhu looks overwhelmed.
Madhu says, OH, DEAR.
I THINK YOU'RE BOTH RIGHT.
Maggie says, THEY DO BOTH MAKE VALID POINTS,
BUT WHETHER IT IS JUNK
OR TREASURE,
IT IS GOING
TO SMASH THE CLUBHOUSE
UNLESS YOU
DO SOMETHING IN 7.2 MINUTES.
She shows the clubhouse being destroyed by space junk.
Ella says, SO WE AGREE THEN.
THE JUNK GOES.
Slippy says, NO, I'M
GOING TO SAVE THE CLUBHOUSE
BY SAVING THIS STUFF.
Ella says, FINE, YOU DO IT YOUR WAY.
I’LL DO IT MINE.
Ella flies away from her friends. Slippy grabs the chair and heads toward his space racer.
Madhu says, I CAN HELP BOTH OF YOU!
Ella collects space junk from the stream in one big ball. She pulls the ball of junk behind her moon scooter. Madhu follows.
[Quick, upbeat music plays]
Ella looks determined as she collects more space junk. She looks at a piece she collects in her space grappler.
Ella says, EW!
YUCK!
SEE MADHU,
THIS IS JUNK.
She continues working.
Slippy says, WHOA!
CHECK THIS OUT, MADHU!
He drags a spacecraft out of the junk stream.
He says, THIS IS NOT JUNK!
Slippy puts a piece of space junk in the spacecraft.
He says, ELLA, COME HERE.
Ella flies over to the spacecraft.
She asks, WHAT AM I LOOKING AT?
Slippy jumps onto the spacecraft.
He says, IT'S A CHUNK
OF AN ACTUAL SPACE STATION.
He presses buttons on a control panel.
He says, I MIGHT EVEN BE ABLE
TO GET IT TO WORK AGAIN.
Ella says, ALL I SEE IS THE CHUNK PART.
CHUNK OF JUNK.
[Ella laughing]
Ella bangs her moon scooter against the space station. Lights on the space station come on. Flames burst out of the thrusters.
Slippy says, WHOA!
HEY, IT STILL WORKS!
The space station spins.
Slippy yells, OH NO!
Ella ducks out of the way. The ball of junk floats away from her.
[Dramatic music plays]
The ball of junk floats toward the clubhouse.
Ella says, IT'S HEADING FOR THE CLUBHOUSE!
Maggie says, ACCORDING
TO MY UPDATED CALCULATIONS,
YOU HAVE 4.7904 MINUTES BEFORE
IT DESTROYS THE CLUBHOUSE.
Slippy says, WE HAVE TO STOP IT NOW!
He jumps off the space station onto his space racer.
[Upbeat music plays]
The friends follow the ball of junk. Ella hooks the ball of junk with her moon scooter’s cable.
She says, I'VE GOT TO SLOW DOWN..
OR CHANGE
IT'S DIRECTION.
IS IT WORKING?
Maggie says, YES, BUT NOT ENOUGH AT THIS
VELOCITY.
IMPACT IS STILL IMMINENT.
Ella says, SLIPPY!
MAYBE YOUR CHUNK OF JUNK...
She shakes her head.
She says, I MEAN, A CHUNK OF SPACE
STATION HAS A HOOK.
MAYBE.
Slippy says, I’LL LOOK.
AND THANK YOUR
FOR NOT CALLING IT JUNK!
He flies back toward the space station.
Ella says, MADHU CAN YOU TRY
AND SLOW IT DOWN?
Madhu says, JUNK FRIEND! WAIT UP!
Madhu flies after the ball of junk. Madhu flies in front of the junk and leans against it. Ella disconnects her cable from the junk as Slippy flies up in the space station. Ella hops on board with Slippy. Slippy presses buttons on the control panel. Ella looks worried.
[Dramatic music plays]
Madhu says, OUR NEW JUNK FRIEND
IS VERY STUBBORN!
Slippy says, I THINK WE'VE GOT IT.
He lowers a cable from the space station.
He says, WE HAVE TO ATTACH IT.
MADHU!
Madhu grabs the cable and hooks it onto the ball of junk.
Madhu says, DONE, I LOVE WHEN WE ALL
WORK TOGETHER!
Slippy turns the space station around, and away from the clubhouse.
Ella says, OKAY, SLIPPY
THINK YOU CAN FIRE UP
THE THRUSTERS.
ON THIS THING ENOUGH
TO GET IT TO NEPTUNE?
Slippy says, ON IT!
I’LL USE SOME OF THIS
THIS OTHER STUFF TO GIVE
THE THRUSTERS MORE JUICE.
He grabs pieces of his collected space junk. He attaches a home-made thruster beside the space station’s thruster.
Slippy says, OKAY.
GO NOW!
Ella presses a big yellow button on the control panel. The thrusters come on and pushes the space station and ball of junk forward. The friends fly toward a blue planet.
Ella says, THERE'S NEPTUNE!
READY,
STEADY, GO!
The ball of junk is released from the space station. The friends watch it float toward Neptune.
They say, WOAH!
The junk disappears.
Ella says, OH, IT WORKED!
Madhu says, THAT WAS AMAZING.
Ella dances with her hands up.
Slippy says, TOO BAD WE HAD TO BLOW UP
ALL THAT TREASURE.
He looks sad. Ella slips. As she falls, she hits the big yellow button.
She says, WHOA!
Slippy says, NOT THE TURBO THRUSTERS!
The thrusters come on and the space station spins out of control. Madhu and Slippy are thrown out of the space station as Ella gets up off the floor.
[Dramatic music plays]
Ella screams, AAAAAH!
She presses buttons on the control panel. A force field forms around the open space.
Slippy and Madhu yell, ELLA!
Ella says, WHOA!
HANG ON GUYS!
I'LL SAVE YOU!
She looks at the control panel nervously.
She says, OR...
MAYBE YOU COULD SAVE ME!
Ella presses more buttons on the control panel.
A computer voice says, ACTIVATING EMERGENCY FORCE FIELD.
A large disc rises from under the space station.
Ella yells, SLIPPY!
HELP!
I CAN'T STOP IT!
COME ON, STOP.
She presses another button. Slippy appears in a combubble.
He says, LISTEN, ELLA, WE CAN'T STOP YOU.
Ella says, THAT'S NOT GREAT NEWS SLIPPY.
Slippy says, BUT I THINK YOU COULD STOP YOURSELF.
Ella says, HOW?
I PUSHED EVERY BUTTON
I CAN SEE.
Slippy says, YOUR GONNA HAVE TO USE THE
STUFF I LEFT IN THE STATION.
Ella says, SO THIS JUNK WILL SAVE ME?!
Slippy says, IT WILL.
AND IT'S NOT JUNK!
The space station moves toward Neptune.
Ella says, OKAY, I'M LISTENING.
Slippy says, GREAT. I'M GOING TO HELP YOU
MAKE A CONTROLLER.
JUST LIKE A VIDEO GAME
CONTROLLER.
Ella smiles. She grabs a joystick controller from Slippy’s findings.
Slippy says, PUSH IT
INTO THE SLOT ON THE CONSOLE
AND LOCK IT WITH THE PINS.
Ella screws the controller onto the control panel.
She says, OKAY, DONE.
Slippy says, NOW USE THE CONTROLLER
TO ROTATE THE STATION
BUILT IN HEAT SHIELD.
YOU'RE GOING TO USE THE HEAT
SHIELD TO BOUNCE OFF
NEPTUNE'S ATMOSPHERE.
BUT FIRST,
YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR ANGLE.
Ella sits at the control panel in the chair from the junk stream.
She says, I GOT THIS.
HUH? IS IT SUPER COMFY SEAT.
Ella leans back in the seat.
Slippy says, YOU CAN'T DIVE INTO IT.
YOU HAVE TO SKIP OVER IT
LIKE A STONE.
Ella pulls the joystick all the way back.
Slippy says, FASTER!
He and Madhu look scared. The space station starts to tip back.
Maggie appears and says, YOU ARE ABOUT TO.
ENTER NEPTUNE'S ATMOSPHERE.
Ella pulls on the joystick.
[Ella grunting]
The space station’s heat shield disc bounces and skips across Neptune’s atmosphere like a stone on water. Ella flies the station away from the planet.
[Celebratory music plays]
She says, YES! JUST LIKE
SKIPPING A STONE.
Madhu cheers, YOU DID IT!
Slippy cheers, WOO HOO!
Ella says, NO, WE DID IT.
She stops in front of her friends. The force field around the open space lowers.
She says, AND YOU KNOW.
THIS JUNK ISN'T TOO BAD.
I MEAN, WE'RE USING IT
ESPECIALLY TO SAVE PEOPLE.
IT'S PRETTY COOL.
Madhu says, SO JUNK IS OUR FRIEND NOW?
Slippy says, MOST OF IT BUT
SOME OF IT IS JUST JUNK.
Madhu hugs Slippy and Ella.
[Madhu laughing]
Ella says, OH SLIPPY.
Slippy smiles.
[Ella and Madhu laughing]
[Soft music plays]
Back at the clubhouse, the friend’s poster is taped together. Ella and Madhu sist on the couch with their eyes covered. Slippy and Glitch stand on a colourful dance floor.
Slippy says, TADA!
Ella and Madhu uncover their eyes.
Slippy says, IN HONOR OF OUR 1 YEAR CLUBHOUSE- AVERSARY,
A DANCE FLOOR!
Colourful lights hang on the space station.
Ella cheers, WOO HOO! YEAH!
[Madhu giggling]
Slippy jumps in the space station.
Ella cheers, WOO HOO!
Slippy hits different buttons on the space station’s control panel.
Ella cheers, YEAH!
Music plays from the space station and the dance floor lights change colours. Ella looks amazed.
[Funky music plays]
Ella says, I JUST HAVE ONE
THING TO SAY...
Together, she and Madhu say, DANCE PARTY!
Lights flicker around the clubhouse. Ella and Madhu dance on the dance floor. Slippy dances in the space station.
Ella says, I MEANT THIS JUNK IS
PRETTY COOL,
BUT HOW ARE YOU GOING TO FIND
USES FOR ALL OF THAT?
Slippy says, OH I HAVE SO MANY
PROJECTS PLANNED.
A ROCKET PROPELLED SEAT,
A BAGEL BOT, AN
AUTOMATED BACK SCRATCHER,
SELF-CLEANING DISHES…
Ella says, OH SLIPPY!
A piece of flying space junk bounces off the space station’s heat shield located at the top of the clubhouse and away from the friends.
[Soft music plays]
