In animation, different homes in a city, suburbs and countryside are shown.

A title appears on a hill. It reads: TVOKids and ABC presents. Big Words, Small Stories

Children say, BIG WORDS, SMALL STORIES.

A title reads: Winter Wonderland. Written by Anne-Marie Perrotta

A child’s voice says, WINTER WONDERLAND.

Davey slides to a bannister and looks down. He has black hair and glasses and wears a yellow striped shirt with blue pants.

Davey says, MORNING, MOM!

Mom pours tea.

Mom says, MORNING, DAVEY! GUESS WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT? COME TAKE A LOOK!

Davey opens curtains covering a window.

(Davey gasps)

Snow covers the ground outside a two-storey mobile home.

Davey cries, YA-HOO!

Abigail, a dog wearing an eye mask, looks downstairs.

(Abigail yawning)

Abigail asks, WHAT'S GOING ON?

Davey cries, IT SNOWED!

Abigail says, OH. IS THAT ALL?

Davey says, WHAT DO YOU MEAN, "IS THAT ALL"? IT'S PERFECT WEATHER FOR—

Abigail says, CURLING UP WITH A NICE CUP OF TEA. OH, SPEAKING OF TEA...

Abigail slides down stairs. She goes to the teapot and pours tea into a mug.

Davey says, ABIGAIL, IT'S PERFECT FOR PLAYING IN THE SNOW.

Judy jumps over. She wears pyjamas.

Judy cries, SNOW!

(Giggles)

Davey asks, CAN WE GO TO THE PARK, MOM?

Mom says, ABSOLUTELY! MORE SPACE PLUS MORE SNOW EQUALS?

Davey cries, MORE FUN!

Mom says, COME ON, JUDY. LET'S GET DRESSED.

Abigail says, YOU MAY CATCH A CHILL IF YOU'RE OUT FOR TOO LONG IN THAT SNOW.

Davey wears a yellow coat and a blue hat.

Davey says, NOT IF WE'RE DRESSED PROPERLY! WE'RE GONNA GO SLEDDING AND BUILD AN ICE CASTLE!

Abigail says, I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW JUST THE SIGHT OF SNOW CAN MAKE YOU SO... SO... ENTHUSIASTIC!

Creatures pop up as a pink double-decker bus drives by.

Creatures cry, ENTHUSIASTIC!

The Sprinkle Fairy flies in. She has grey hair and a star-shaped wand. She is dressed in purple.

Sprinkle Fairy says, ENTHUSIASTIC MEANS BEING REALLY EAGER ABOUT SOMETHING. YOU KNOW, LIKE THE WAY DAVEY AND HIS FAMILY CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY IN THE SNOW.

Abigail says, WOULD YOU PLEASE TALK SOME SENSE INTO DAVEY? ALL THAT WHITE STUFF IS SO COLD AND SO WET!

Sprinkle Fairy says, IT IS COLD AND WET BUT THAT'S THE BEST KIND OF SNOW TO MAKE A SNOW FORT!

(Musical chimes)

Sprinkle Fairy cries, WELL, I MUST MAKE TRACKS. TOODLES!

(Whooshing)

Sprinkle Fairy flies away.

Abigail sighs, FINE.

Davey cries, A SNOW FORT!

Mom pulls Judy in a sled through the snow. Davey pulls Abigail on a sled.

(Musical chimes)

Two creatures run over the snow.

(Music playing)

They follow footprints in the snow.

Mom, Davey and Judy cry, SNOW DAY! SNOW DAY!

Davey says, ISN'T IT MAGICAL?!

Abigail says, NO.

Davey makes a snowball.

Davey says, IT'S PERFECT!

Abigail says, COULD YOU PLEASE BE A LITTLE LESS ENTHUSIASTIC? IT'S JUST FLUFFY ICE.

Text reads: Enthusiastic

Davey says, MAYBE YOU COULD BE MORE ENTHUSIASTIC, RIGHT? WE'RE IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE?

Abigail unfolds a long piece of paper.

Abigail says, GLAD YOU ASKED.

Poppy comes out from behind a tree. She has a long dark brown braid and wears a red hat and scarf.

Poppy says, DID SOMEONE SAY, 'WINTER WONDERLAND'? SNOW IS AMAZING! LOOK AT WHAT CHAZ AND I ARE MAKING!

Chaz, a grey dog in a hat and coat, sits by a half-completed snow fort.

Poppy says, WELL, WHAT I'M MAKING. MR. GRUMPYPANTS HERE WOULD RATHER BE INSIDE. HE HAS ZERO ENTHUSIASM.

Davey says, WOW! CAN I HELP?

Poppy says, YOU BETCHA!

Davey stacks bricks of snow. Poppy blows snow in his face.

(Both laugh)

Abigail and Chaz shiver.

Davey makes a snow angel. He and Poppy wave to the dogs.

Davey says, COME ON.

(Teeth chattering)

Poppy and Davey pick up the dogs. They pull them through the snow before falling back and making snow angels.

(Poppy and Davey laughing)

Chaz and Abigail are pulled on a sled.

Chaz says, WHOA!

All four ride down a hill on the sled. They wear helmets.

(Poppy and Davey laughing)

The sled hits a snowbank and everyone tumbles off.

(Poppy and Davey laughing)

(Music playing)

Two creatures run past, looking at footprints in the snow.

Abigail asks, CAN WE GO HOME NOW? I NEED A NAP.

Davey asks, HOW CAN YOU BE TIRED? YOU BARELY DID ANYTHING.

Abigail says, WATCHING YOU BE SO ENTHUSIASTIC MAKES ME SO SLEEPY!

Text reads: Enthusiastic

Poppy says, WE JUST NEED TO DO ONE MORE THING.

Poppy and Davey cry, SNOW CREATURE!

Chaz says, I SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT A BOOK.

Everyone looks at a snowman with two heads and four arms.

Abigail says, LOVELY. NOW CAN WE GO?

Davey says, HMM... SHOULDN'T IT BE—

Poppy and Davey cry, TALLER!

(Abigail sighs)

Abigail sits on a bench.

(Music playing)

The two creatures run under the bench. They look around and go back the way they came. A snow creature with white fur comes out from behind a bush and smiles.

(Laughing)

Poppy says, BEST SNOW CREATURE EVER! YOU KNOW, DAVEY, THIS WAS THE BEST SNOW DAY. I LIKE YOUR ENTHUSIASM!

Davey says, I LIKE YOUR ENTHUSIASM!

Chaz says, GOOD! WE CAN GO HOME NOW. THE FIRST THING I'M GOING TO DO IS HAVE SOUP.

Abigail says, HOT SOUP AND TEA!

Chaz and Abigail get off the bench and run. They crash into the snowman. It falls and covers everyone in snow.

Davey says, NO PROBLEM. WE CAN ALWAYS BUILD--

Davey and Poppy cry, ANOTHER ONE!

(Abigail grunts)

Abigail falls back in the snow.

Davey says, THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT, ABIGAIL! GREAT SNOW ANGEL!

(Abigail giggles)

(Music playing)
