(Happy music plays)

An animation shows traffic travelling through a city. People are gathered outside houses and a pizza parlour. A pink school bus scatters stars as it passes by a grassy hill.

Text reads, “TVO kids and ABC presents”.

Children and their pets run to the hill and climb onto the title which they read, BIG WORDS, SMALL STORIES.

A person reads the episode title.

They reads, CHRIS’S COAT.

Text reads, written by Natesha Somasundaram. Crat wears a top hat beside Chris who has a rip in his suit jacket arm. A pink building has 3 levels.

A person says, HMM... SHOULD I GO
WITH THE OFF-WHITE SHIRT?
OR THE OFF-OFF-WHITE SHIRT?

Chris holds two similar white shirts in front of him. Crat the cat plays with a ball of yarn on a bed.

He says, THEY BOTH LOOK GREAT, CRIS.

Crat hops off the bed.

He says, JUST PICK ONE.
CAN YOU PLEASE HURRY UP
AND GET DRESSED?
THERE'S ONLY SO MANY THINGS
A CAT CAN JUGGLE.

Crat plays with a rubber chicken. Chris stands in front of a mirror.

He says, RELAX, CRAT.
I'LL BE READY
FOR GRANDPA REX'S SURPRISE PARTY
AS I'VE TIMED EVERYTHING
PERFECTLY.

Chris looks at his outfit. He turns away from the mirror.

He says, WITH TIME TO SPARE
TO TIE MY SHOELACES.

Chris bends down to tie his shoe. His suit sleeve rips.

Chris says, UGH!

Crat drops the items he juggles one by one. He grunts as they hit his head. The rubber chicken squeaks when it lands on his head.

Chris says, OH NO! THERE'S NO WAY
I CAN GET MY JACKET FIXED
IN TIME FOR THE SURPRISE PARTY!

A person says, CHRISSY!

Identical twins Chrissy and Christy appear with baskets.

Christy says, AND CHRISTY!

Chrissy says, AT YOUR SERVICE.

Christy says, WE CAN SEW ANYTHING
AND EVERYTHING ONTO YOUR JACKET.

Chrissy says, IN JUST THE BLINK OF AN EYE.

Chris says, UH... LOOK, I REALLY JUST NEED
THIS HOLE IN MY JACKET FIXED.

Chrissy says, WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART
SCUBA DIVING TECH?

Christy says, OR WITH A STYLISH HAT
THAT WILL MAKE EVERYONE
FORGET ABOUT THAT UGLY HOLE
IN YOUR JACKET?

Chrissy and Christy run to either side of Chris and hold up flippers and a top hat.

Chris says, NO, NO, NONE OF THAT, THANK YOU.
I JUST NEED
MY JACKET PATCHED UP.
NOTHING EXTRA, NO SILLY ADD-ONS,
NOTHING...

3 candy-like creatures, Sprinkle Fairy’s helpers, the sprinklers, appear behind Chris and the twins. Chris looks thoughtful.

He says, SUPERFLUOUS.

A pink bus drives behind 4 sprinklers.

Four sprinklers say, SUPERFLUOUS!

Sprinkle Fairy flies by and says, SUPERFLUOUS MEANS
MORE THAN IS NEEDED.
YOU KNOW, LIKE THOSE GOOFY
FLIPPERS AND THAT SILLY HAT
THAT CHRISSY AND CHRISTY ARE
TRYING TO ADD TO CRIS' JACKET.

Chrissy and Christy toss aside their flippers and top hat.

Sprinkle Fairy says, HMM... ORANGE FLIPPERS
MIGHT MATCH WITH MY DRESS
FOR THE MERMAID'S BALL TONIGHT.
I WONDER IF THEY COME
IN FAIRY FOOT SIZES.
TOODLES!

Sprinkle Fairy leaves.

Chrissy says, SO YOU NEED A REGULAR...

Christy says, ...BORING OLD JACKET
WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...

Both sisters say, …SUPERFLUOUS?

Chrissy guides Chris out of the room.

She says, YOU GOT IT!

Crat follows Chris out. Chrissy takes Chriss’s jacket and kicks the door closed with a thud. She and her sister giggle and nod at each other. Chris turns from his door outside his room.

Crat says, WAIT. DO YOU THINK THESE
FLIPPERS MAKE MY TAIL LOOK BIG?

Crat wears the orange flippers and top hat. Chris laughs. Inside the room, Chrissy and Christy work on Chris’s jacket at a table. Two sprinklers wearing helmets stand on top of a bookshelf with sewing thread tied around them. They giggle and give each other a thumbs up. The sprinklers jump off the bookshelf but only fall half way. Chrissy and Christy gasp and hold up Chris’s jacket.

Chrissy says, EUREKA!

Chris wears his repaired jacket.

He says, WOW! IT'S AS GOOD AS NEW!

Crat says, UH, CRIS, YOU MIGHT WANNA
TURN AROUND.

Chris turns around and looks at the back of his jacket, which is covered in yellow stars.

Chris says, WHOA! WHOA! WHOA!
THESE STARS ARE WAY TOO MUCH.
I SAID NOTHING SUPERFLUOUS!
I'M SORRY
BUT I JUST NEED MY JACKET
TO LOOK LIKE A REGULAR JACKET.

Chrissy and Christy frown.

Chris says, THAT MEANS NO BRIGHT COLORS
AND NO STARS.

Christy says, NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO APPRECIATE
REAL ART ANYMORE!

Chris and Crat stand outside the room as the door closes. Chrissy and Christy work on the jacket. The orange sprinkler releases sewing string to make a pile on the floor. The blue sprinkler jumps off the bookshelf and lands in the pile. Christy cuts decorative purple fabric. Chrissy adds buttons to Chris’s jacket. Outside the room, Chris paces back and forth. Inside, Chrissy gasps.

She says, FINISHED!

Chris wears the jacket.

He says, PERFECT!
NO MORE HOLE IN MY JACKET
AND NO MORE SUPERFLUOUS STARS.

Crat’s eyes widen. A purple cape unravels.

Crat says, OOOH!

Chris says, A CAPE?
THIS IS TOTALLY SUPERFLUOUS!

The twins sigh.

Chris says, I TOLD YOU - I JUST NEED
A NORMAL, PLAIN JACKET.

Christy says, WELL, IT IS A PLAIN JACKET...

The twins say, …FOR A KING!

Chris says, WELL, I'M NOT A KING, OKAY?
I'M JUST A REGULAR KID
WHO NEEDS A REGULAR JACKET
TO WEAR TO GRANDPA REX'S
SURPRISE PARTY!

Christy rips the cape off of Chris’s jacket. Chris spins out of the room.

He says, WHOAAA...

Crat after Chris.

The twins look at each other and smile.

They say, HMM...

Christy works at the table.

She says, DR CHRISSY, HAND ME MY TOOLS.

Chrissy hands Christy knitting needles, duct tape and the rubber chicken. Chris paces outside the room. Beside Chrissy, the orange sprinkler jumps off the bookshelf. They hang from blue string, then falls into the red string pile. Chrissy gasps. Christy holds out Chris’s jacket.

She says, PERFECT!

Chris and Crat poke their heads inside and they smile. A person presses a doorbell. The twins, Chris and Crat stand outside a door. Chrissy holds a gift. Grandpa Rex answers the door.

Crat and the kids say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDPA REX!

Chrissy passes Grandpa Rex the gift.

Grandpa Rex says, OH! WHAT A SURPRISE!
YOU'RE LOOKING
PRETTY SHARP, CRIS!
NICE BUTTON.

Chris’s eyes widen and he gasps. He looks down at his jacket.

He says, WAIT A SECOND...
DID YOU TWO ADD A BUTTON?

A button on Chris’s jacket looks like a gift.

Chris says, I TOLD YOU I WANTED NOTHING
SUPERFLUOUS ON MY JACKET…

Chrissy and Christy giggle.

Chris says, …INCLUDING BUTTONS.

Chris presses the button on his jacket. Colourful confetti shoots out of tubes that come out of his jacket. Chris gasps. Grandpa Rex chuckles.

He says, NOW THAT'S
WHAT I CALL A SURPRISE!

Crat says, WELL, I GUESS IN THIS CASE,
THERE'S NOTHING SUPERFLUOUS
ABOUT YOUR JACKET AFTER ALL!

Crat presses the jacket button and everyone chuckles.
