Poppy and Chaz, a grey dog, sweep a messy floor. Poppy wears her dark brown hair in a single braid down her back. Text reads, “Cleaning Up. Written by Lina Foti.”
[Happy music plays]
Chaz sits on a chair as he reads a book. Clothing and toys litter the floor around him. Poppy pops out of a pile of clothes. She holds purple and yellow pom-poms in her hands.
Poppy says, TA-DAH!
[Musical flourish]
Chaz says, LOVE THE POM POMS!
Liam, a man with short black hair and black-rimmed glasses, opens a door.
[Door creaks, whooshing]
Liam asks, WHO'S READY TO GO
TO OLEANDER'S?!
Poppy says, WE ARE!
Liam asks, UH, WHAT HAPPENED
IN HERE?
Poppy says, WE WERE PLAYING.
LOADS OF FUN! LET'S GO!
Liam says, NUH-HUH. NO PLAYDATE
UNTIL YOUR ROOM IS CLEAN.
Chaz protests, BUT... IT'LL TAKE
US FOREVER!
Poppy promises, WE'LL CLEAN
EVERYTHING WHEN WE GET BACK
FROM OLEANDER'S. PROMISE!
Liam says, SORRY, WE'VE TALKED
ABOUT THIS. NO PLAYDATES IF YOUR
ROOM IS MESSY.
[Disappointed music plays, doorknob rattles, door closes, Chaz sighs deeply]
Chaz picks markers up off the floor.
[Clicking]
Poppy says, WE'LL NEVER LEAVE
AT THIS RATE!
Chaz says, AT LEAST I'VE STARTED.
Poppy says, I KNOW HOW TO CLEAN
EVERYTHING IN A SNAP! WATCH A PRO
AT WORK!
[Fast paced music, whooshing, grunting, thud, door slams]
Poppy picks items off the floor and throws them over her shoulder into her closet.
[Giggles]
Poppy shouts, WE'RE DONE, DAD!
[Door opens]
Liam says, WOW! THAT WAS REALLY FAST!
The closet door bursts open and clothes, books and toys fall on the bedroom floor.
[Gasping, rustling]
Liam says, NICE TRY! THIS TIME,
CLEAN YOUR ROOM PROPERLY.
[Door closes]
[Poppy sighs]
She says, WE'LL NEVER MAKE IT!
Chaze says, OH, YES WE WILL!
ALL WE NEED IS A LITTLE...
WELL, A LOT, OF... COOPERATION!
[Upbeat music plays]
Two creatures, each with a single antenna, shout,
COOPERATION!
Text reads, “Cooperation.”
The Sprinkle Fairy, a winged woman with curly grey hair, drives a purple and yellow bus behind the creatures.
The Sprinkle Fairy says, COOPERATION
MEANS WORKING TOGETHER TO GET
SOMETHING DONE.
LIKE WHAT POPPY AND CHAZ NEED
TO DO TO CLEAN THEIR MESSY ROOM.
TIDYING THIS UP WILL BE A BIG JOB.
Poppy says, MAYBE YOU COULD HELP US?
The Sprinkle Fairy says, SORRY.
I'M LATE FOR TEA WITH RAPUNZEL.
SHE WANTS ME TO BRAID HER HAIR.
IT'S SOOO LONG IT'LL TAKE
HOURS! TOODLES!
[Whoosh]
Chaz says, COOPERATION STARTS NOW,
POPPY. WORKING TOGETHER, WE CAN
GET THIS DONE IN NO TIME!
Poppy cheers, YEAH! WOO-HOO!
UH... WHERE DO I EVEN START?
Chaz says, EASY-PEASY!
I'LL PUT AWAY THE BOOKS
WHILE YOU PUT AWAY THE FABRICS.
[Rustling, upbeat music plays]
Poppy says, GOT IT!
Chaz puts books on a bookshelf.
[Rustling]
He says, PERFECT! AND TIDY.
Poppy puts a cloth-covered headband on her head.
Poppy says, LOOK WHAT I MADE,
CHAZ! ISN'T IT FANTASTIC?
Poppy dances.
[She laughs, upbeat music plays, thumping]
Chaz says, THAT'S NOT COOPERATING,
POPPY! YOU SHOULD BE CLEANING,
NOT PLAYING!
Poppy says, SORRY!
I'VE NEVER BEEN GOOD
AT CLEANING OR COOPERATING.
MAYBE YOU CAN SHOW ME HOW?
Three antenna creatures take pom-poms out of a container. One bounces a pom-pom on its head while the other two hold pom-poms and cheer.
[Boinging, giggling]
Chaz says, IF YOU DO THIS, AND I DO
THAT, WITH COOPERATION WE'LL
GET THIS ROOM CLEANED!
Chaz points to a drawing of the items that they need to pick up off the bedroom floor.
Text reads, “Cooperation.”
[Chimes]
Poppy draws on the plan.
She says, I THINK YOU FORGOT ONE.
WE CAN SHARE THAT JOB TOO!
Chaz says, NICE ONE, POPPY! READY?
Poppy says, STEADY! GO!
[Fast-paced music plays]
The creatures tip the container of pom-poms over. Chaz picks up markers as Poppy hangs clothes in her closet. They sweep the room.
[Clatter, clicking, sweeping, rattling]
Poppy throws a blanket in the air and it lands on her and Chaz.
[Rustling]
Poppy says, WHOA!
[Both laugh]
[Fast-paced music plays]
The creatures jump in the pile of pom-poms.
[Thudding]
A creature says, WOO HOO!
Poppy and Chaz say, YEAH!
They high five.
Poppy says, SO, THAT'S COOPERATION!
Text reads, “Cooperation.”
[Chimes]
Chaz says, AND WE STILL HAVE
PLENTY OF TIME TO GO ON
OUR PLAYDATE!
Poppy shouts, DAD? TIME TO GO!
Liam opens the door to the room.
[Whoosh, door opens, gasp]
Liam says, NICE! HOW DID YOU
MANAGE TO TIDY UP SO FAST?
Chaz says, WITH A LITTLE HARD WORK.
Poppy says, AND A LOT OF COOPERATION!
[Giggling, phone ringing]
Liam speaks into his cellphone, HELLO?
OH, OKAY. I UNDERSTAND.
[Sigh, disappointed music]
Liam says, SORRY POPPY.
THE PLAYDATE'S CANCELLED.
OLEANDER AND SALLY DIDN'T CLEAN
THEIR ROOM SO YOU CAN'T GO OVER.
[Chaz groans]
[Upbeat music plays]
Poppy says, WELL, I GUESS THERE'S
ONLY ONE THING TO DO NOW!
Chaz says, ENJOY OUR CLEAN ROOM!
[Poppy laughs, rustling]
Chaz drops a pom-pom. Poppy dives and catches it before it hits the floor.
[Rustling, gasp]
Poppy says, THERE'LL BE NO
MESS ON MY WATCH!
[Laughing]
