Poppy narrates, MYSTERY MUSIC!

(Music playing)

It is daytime. A bird flies to a nest in a tree.

Poppy runs outside, pulling Chaz along. Poppy has long dark brown hair in a braid. She wears a green headband and a blue and green dress. Chaz in a grey dog in a pink shirt. He carries a book.

Poppy says, THERE, CHAZ! SEE? ISN'T IT CUTE?

Poppy points to the bird.

Chaz says, CUTE? IT'S JUST A BIRD, RIGHT? AND IT'S GONE. BACK TO THE NEW RHONDA LIONHEART BOOK! RHONDA'S ON A QUEST TO FIND THE LEGENDARY HORNLESS UNICORN!

(Distant, whistling music)

Poppy looks around.

Poppy says, OOH! CAN YOU HEAR THAT LOVELY MUSIC, CHAZ? IT'S SO HAPPY AND BRIGHT! I JUST CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT. IT'S SO... SO... CAPTIVATING!

(Horns sounding)

Colourful Sprinklers appear.

Sprinklers shout, CAPTIVATING!

Text reads: Captivating

(Music playing)

The Sprinkle Fairy flies in wearing a purple dress and carrying a wand topped with a gold star. The Sprinkle Fairy has grey hair in two tall coils.

The Sprinkle Fairy says, CAPTIVATING MEANS SOMETHING THAT REALLY GRABS YOU, SOMETHING SO COOL AND INTERESTING, YOU CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT! YOU KNOW, LIKE WHEN YOU'RE READING AN AMAZING BOOK OR HEARING...THIS SPLENDID TUNE!

Poppy says, I KNOW RIGHT? I REALLY WANT TO FIND OUT WHO'S PLAYING IT. CAN YOU HELP ME? PLEASE?

The Sprinkle Fairy says, OH, I'D LOVE TO, BUT I'M LATE FOR A SINGING LESSON. TOODLE-OODLE-OODLE-OH-WOO HOO!

The Sprinkle Fairy flies away.

Poppy says, LOOKS LIKE IT'S JUST THE TWO OF US, CHAZ.

Chaz reads the book.

Chaz says, WAIT, WHAT NOW?

Ria walks over. She is an adult with long red hair and wears a white and yellow shirt and blue striped skirt.

Ria asks, DO YOU HEAR THAT MUSIC, POPPY?

Poppy says, ISN'T IT CAPTIVATING? CAN WE GO FIND OUT WHO'S MAKING IT, AUNT RIA?

Ria says, KIND OF LIKE A QUEST? YES! WHY NOT?

Poppy says, GREAT! I THINK IT'S OVER THIS WAY.

Poppy and Ria run off.

Two Sprinklers stand on a low wall. A yellow Sprinkler juggles acorns, until a pink Sprinkler bumps into it and they both fall.

Poppy runs back and grabs Chaz.

Poppy says, NO, YOU DON'T. COME ON CHAZ!

Poppy points to a playground in a park.

Poppy says, IT'S LOUDER OVER HERE! HURRY!

Ria says, HMM... I'M SURE I'VE HEARD THAT TUNE BEFORE. JUST CAN'T THINK WHERE.

Poppy says, OH. IT'S FADING! NO, BACK AGAIN. NO, GONE. HMM... WHAT NOW, CHAZ? CHAZ?

Chaz sits on a park bench, reading his book.

Poppy says, IT'S NOT READING TIME NOW! WE'RE HERE TO FIND THE CAPTIVATING MUSIC.

Text reads, Captivating

(Groan)

Chaz says, BUT RHONDA'S CAPTIVATING TOO.

Poppy says, SORRY, WE NEED YOUR EARS TOO! OH LOOK, IS THAT CAPTAIN CRANKYPANTS?

Captain Crankypants runs over. He has a red beard and wears a blue fisherman’s cap, dark coat, and green pants.

Captain Crankypants says, AHOY, MATEYS! FOLLOWIN' THE MUSIC TOO, ARE YE?

Poppy says, YES, BUT IT STOPPED! LET'S LISTEN.

Captain Crankypants holds an ear trumpet to one ear.

(Out-of-tune harmonica music)

Captain Crankypants says, ARRGH! SHIVER ME TIMBERS! WHAT'S THAT?

(Laughing)

Ria plays a harmonica.

Ria says, I JUST THOUGHT IT MIGHT HELP.

Poppy says, ER... NICE IDEA BUT IT MIGHT DROWN OUT THE REAL MUSIC.

The Sprinklers both juggle acorns. The pink Sprinkler drops their acorns.

Poppy puts a hand to her ear.

Poppy says, YES! IT'S BACK! WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP US ON OUR QUEST, CAPTAIN?

Captain Crankypants says, A'COURSE, ME HEARTY! I LOVE A GOOD TREASURE HUNT!

Everyone walks off, except Chaz who sits on the ground reading. Poppy walks back to him and points off.

(Groan)

Chaz gets up.

Poppy and the others walk past a large building with marble columns.

(Music resumes)

Poppy says, WAIT! NO, IT'S GONE.

Chaz says, BOOK TIME!

Mr. Chocolat comes out of the building. He has dark hair and long curling moustache. He wears a red patterned long jacket.

Mr. Chocolat says, BONJOUR! YOU HEARD THE MUSIC TOO, YES? C'EST MAGNIFIQUE! PERHAPS THE MOST CAPTIVATING TUNE I HAVE EVER HEARD!

Text reads, Captivating

(Harsh violin music)

Mr. Chocolat says, UGH! WHAT IS THAT?

Ria plays a violin.

Mr. Chocolat says, EXCUSEZ MOI, MADAME. WOULD YOU MIND NOT DOING THAT FOR A FEW WEEKS?

Ria says, I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING BETTER.

Poppy says, OKAY, LISTEN FOR MUSIC, EVERYONE. IT'S BOUND TO COME BACK!

The pink Sprinkler juggled two acorns. The yellow Sprinkler rides a unicycle while juggling three unicycles.

(Distant music playing)

Poppy says, IT'S BACK! YAY! WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP WITH OUR QUEST, MR CHOCOLAT?

Mr. Chocolat says, OH, OUI, OUI! WE MUST FIND THIS MUSICAL TREASURE IMME—

Poppy says, WAIT! THIS IS OUR STREET! THE MUSIC IS COMING FROM... HOME?

(Whistle music)

Poppy says, LOOK! THE BIRD'S BEEN MAKING THE CAPTIVATING MUSIC ALL ALONG!

(Birdsong)

The bird sings in its nest.

Captain Crankypants says, BLOW ME DOWN WITH A SEAL SNEEZE. IT'S NATURAL MUSIC!

Mr. Chocolat says, C'EST MAGNIFIQUE!

(Jarring music)

Captain Crankypants says, ARGH!

Ria plays a trombone.

Poppy cries, AUNT RIA!

The bird flies over and perches on the trombone.

(Laughs)

Poppy says, LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE LIKES AUNT RIA'S MUSIC!

(Soft trombone and birdsong)

Chaz says, GOOD. WE KNOW WHO MADE THE MUSIC. NOW, I NEED TO KNOW IF—

(Gasp)

The bird swoops and grabs the book from Chaz.

Chaz says, AFTER THAT BIRD!

Chaz runs after the bird.

(Laughing)
