Eric wears his auburn hair short. He wears a blue shirt with a “ScienceXplosion” logo as he swipes on a tablet. Electricity crackles between the tablet and his hand.

[Exciting music plays]

Voices chant, WHAT A HIT,
IT'S NOT A TRICK,
IT'S SCIENCEXPLOSION.

JUST FOR YOU, COOL AND NEW,
SCIENCEXPLOSION.

[Explosion]

Text reads, “ScienceXplosion.”

Eric holds his hands out as he spins.

[Fast music plays]

A narrator says, OH!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING, ERIC?
OH I KNOW!

YOU'RE PRETENDING TO BE
A TORNADO!

Eric grabs a table as he stops spinning.

[Birds chirp]

The narrator says, A TORNADO
OCCURS WHEN WIND STARTS
ROTATING REALLY FAST AND
MAKES A WHIRLPOOL SHAPE.

WE ALSO CALL THIS A VORTEX.

YOU KNOW, ERIC, I CAN SHOW
YOU ANOTHER WAY TO SEE
A TORNADO.

ONE THAT SHOULDN'T MAKE YOU
SO DIZZY!

[Muttering]

The narrator says, DON'T WORRY,
IT'S PERFECTLY SAFE!

Eric nods. He holds up a finger.

The narrator says, OH, DO YOU
KNOW ANOTHER WAY TO SEE
A TORNADO?

Eric draws on a small piece of paper.

[Upbeat music plays, scratching]

The narrator says, WELL, THAT
LOOKS LIKE A GLOBE.

Eric draws in the globe.

[Scratching]

The narrator says, A SNOW GLOBE!

Eric holds up the drawing. Small snowflakes fill the globe.

[Whooshing, chimes]

The narrator says, THERE'S SNOW
SWIRLING AROUND!

WHAT A GREAT MAGIC TRICK!

NOW, ARE YOU READY TO TRY
MAKING A TORNADO MY WAY?

Eric uses his hand to wipe off a table in front of him.

[Whoosh, robot voice, scraping]

The narrator says, FIRST OF ALL,
WE NEED TWO PLASTIC BOTTLES.

[Upbeat music plays]

Eric carries two empty plastic two litre bottles. He wears a strip of paper over his head.

The narrator asks, DID YOU FIND
THOSE IN THE RECYCLING BIN?

Eric nods.

The narrator says, EXCELLENT
IDEA, ERIC!

IT'S GOOD TO REUSE
WHENEVER YOU CAN.

Eric brushes paper off his head and shoulders.

[Scraping, upbeat music plays]

The narrator says, OTHER THINGS
WE NEED ARE ALREADY ON THE
COUNTER. A METAL WASHER
THE SAME SIZE AS THE DIAMETER
OF THE MOUTH OF THE BOTTLE

Eric holds up a role of black tape. He puts his hand on top of a pitcher of water.

[Upbeat music plays, tap]

The narrator says, YEP, THAT'S
THE RIGHT SIZE.

A ROLL OF TAPE, AND WATER.

FIRST, FILL ONE OF THOSE
BOTTLES WITH WATER,
BUT JUST TWO-THIRDS FULL,
JUST TO THE LINE.

A white line move horizontally two-thirds of the way up one of the bottles.

[Slide whistles, upbeat music plays]

The narrator says, IT'S
BETTER TO POUR OVER
A SINK OR LARGE TUB.

YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK AN ADULT
FOR HELP, IF YOU NEED TO.

GO AHEAD, ERIC!

Eric puts a red funnel in the top of the bottle and pours yellow water into it from the pitcher.

[Water pours]

The narrator says, I'VE ALREADY
ADDED A FEW DROPS OF FOOD
COLOURING TO THE WATER
SO OUR TORNADO IS EASIER
TO SEE.

AND, FOR FUN, HOW ABOUT
SOME CONFETTI?

Eric drops confetti into the bottle.

[Chimes]

The narrator says, NEXT, PUT
THE WASHER ON TOP OF THE
BOTTLE. NOW BALANCE THE
SECOND BOTTLE UPSIDE DOWN
ON THE FIRST, LIKE THAT!

Eric looks impressed as the second bottle balances upside down on the washer.

The narrator says, TAPE THE TWO
BOTTLES TOGETHER.

MAKE SURE THEY'RE SEALED UP
TIGHT SO WATER CAN'T ESCAPE.

Eric tapes the bottles together.

[Rustling, upbeat music plays]

The narrator says, CAREFUL!
THAT'S IT!

[Slide whistle, boing]

The narrator says, TURN THE
BOTTLES OVER SO THE WATER
IS ON TOP!

Eric turns the bottles over. Water pours from the top bottle into the bottom bottle. A vortex appears in the top bottle.

[Water rushes, drum roll plays, piano music plays]

The narrator says, SEE THAT
SHAPE IN THE WATER?

IT'S A VORTEX!

THE WHIRLPOOL MOTION LETS
AIR THAT'S LOWER DOWN
TAKE THE PLACE OF WATER
UP ABOVE.

IN A REAL TORNADO, HOT AIR
THAT'S LOWER DOWN REPLACES
THE COLD AIR ON TOP VERY QUICKLY.

Eric flips the bottles again and starts a new vortex.

The narrator says, YOU DID IT,
ERIC! A TORNADO IN A BOTTLE!

[Upbeat music plays, water pours]

Eric draws a button on a chalkboard and pushes it.

[Whoosing, scratching, squeal, static]

A grey tornado raises black dirt as it swirls.

[Wind blows]

The narrator asks, DID YOU KNOW
THAT TORNADO WINDS CAN REACH
UP TO THREE HUNDRED KILOMETRES
PER HOUR?

THEY'RE SOME OF THE FASTEST
WINDS ON EARTH!

THAT'S ALSO AS FAST AS
A RACE CAR!

Eric watches the vortex in the bottle.

[Whoosh, water pours, upbeat music plays]

The narrator says, YOU, TOO, CAN
MAKE YOUR OWN LITTLE TORNADO
AT HOME!

Eric nods.

The narrator says, ADD ANY COLOUR
YOU LIKE TO THE WATER, DROP IN
SOME PAPER CONFETTI, AND HAVE
FUN WATCHING IT WHIRL AND SWIRL!

Eric flips the bottles and the vortex starts again.

[Whoosh, pouring, upbeat music plays]

The narrator says, IT'S NOT MAGIC,
IT'S SCIENCE!

Text reads, “ScienceXplosion.”

[Whoosh, robot noises, explosion]

End credits roll.

[Upbeat music plays]

Text reads, “Produced by GAPC Entertainment.”
