I WAS JUST ON THE COMPUTER
WITH A PATIENT OF MINE
WHO HAD A BAD COLD.
OH, AND I WAS VERY
HAPPY TO HELP THEM OUT.
YOU KNOW, HELPING PEOPLE
MAKES ME FEEL GOOD INSIDE.
(Dr. Cheddar chuckles)
(Alert sounds)
Dr. Cheddar says, OH, ANOTHER PATIENT.
Felix appears on the computer screen. Building blocks and toys are arranged in front of him. A couch is behind him.
Felix says, HI, DR. C.
Dr. Cheddar waves and says, AH, HELLO, FELIX.
Felix sits in a room surrounded by toys in front of a large bay window.
Felix says, I'M BORED.
NO ONE WILL PLAY WITH ME
AND I WANNA FINISH MY TOWER.
A woman wearing a white top and jeans carrying a white plastic basket filled with laundry walks in front of Felix.
Dr. Cheddar says, LOOKS IMPRESSIVE.
Felix says, YEAH.
BUT I KEEP ASKING MY
MOM IF SHE'LL HELP ME,
BUT SHE SAYS SHE'S TOO BUSY.
(A toy chicken squeaks)
The woman, Felix’s mom, picks up toys from around Felix.
(Chime)
Dr. Cheddar says, I HAVE AN IDEA
THAT MIGHT HELP.
Felix says, REALLY, WHAT IS IT?
Dr. Cheddar says, WHAT IF WE TRY TO
HELP YOUR MOTHER OUT
WITH SOME OF THE
THINGS SHE'S DOING,
AND THEN SEE IF SHE COULD
HELP YOU WITH YOUR TOWER?
Felix says, DO YOU THINK THAT'LL WORK?
Felix’s mom sweeps the floor in front of Felix.
Dr. Cheddar says, WELL, IT'S WORTH A TRY.
(Upbeat music)
Dr. Cheddar says, HELPING PEOPLE YOU LOVE
IS ONE OF THE BEST WAYS
TO SHOW YOU CARE ABOUT THEM.
Felix picks up a hat and hangs it on a coathook. He sweeps up some dead plant leaves off a black and white tile floor with a broom into a dustpan. Felix’s mom bends down and pats Felix’s head. Felix puts a toy into a wicker basket.
Felix stands by the blocks and looks up at his mom.
Felix says, I CLEANED UP, MOM.
DO YOU THINK YOU
CAN BUILD WITH ME?
(Chime)
Felix’s mom says, THANK YOU
FOR HELPING, FELIX.
YOU HELPED ME CLEAN UP
AND NOW I CAN HELP YOU
WITH YOUR TOWER.
Felix’s mom sits on the couch.
Felix says, OH BOY!
LET'S START WITH YELLOW
BLOCKS AND MAKE IT SUPER HIGH.
Felix’s mom picks up a yellow block.
Dr. Cheddar says, FELIX GAVE HIS MOTHER
A HAND WITH THE CHORES.
AND NOW SHE'S GIVING HIM
A HAND WITH HIS TOWER.
Felix and his mom put two blocks on a tower made of blocks of different colours and shapes.
Felix says, OKAY, YOUR TURN, YOUR TURN.
WOW, BEST TOWER EVER.
THANKS, MOM.
Felix’s mom puts her arm around Felix and says, THANKS, FELIX.
Felix says, YOU'RE WELCOME.
Felix looks at the tower.
Dr. Cheddar says, TILL NEXT TIME.
