[Rattling]

A narrator says, HI PUP!

[Bark]

The narrator says, HI KIT!

[Meow]

Pup puts the helmet on Kit’s head.

Kit says, TA-DAH!

[Upbeat music plays]

Kit falls over and the helmet falls off.

[Laughing, crashing]

A boy with black hair and an orange and navy blue striped shirt taps a metal whisk against a red pot.

The narrator says, METAL!

Animated yellow stars fall. Pup and Kit dance.

The narrator says, LET'S INVESTIGATE!
LET'S EXPLORE!

TELL US ABOUT METAL, PUP!
WHAT SHOULD WE LOOK FOR?

[Bark, chime]

A ship sails under a large steel bridge. Pup dances by the bridge.

The narrator says, SOME METAL IS STRONG!

[Pop]

Pup dances by a shiny doorknob.

The narrator says, SOME METAL IS SHINY!

[Pop]

Prongs of a magnet pick up a screw. Pup dances.

The narrator says, SOME METAL IS MAGNETIC.

WHAT DID PUP FIND OUT ABOUT METAL?

METAL CAN BE STRONG!
METAL CAN BE SHINY!
AND METAL CAN BE MAGNETIC.

[Cheering]

Kit and Pup dance by a yellow star.

The narrator says, YOU'RE NEXT, KIT!
YOUR TURN TO EXPLORE!
WHAT'S MADE OF METAL?
LET'S FIND OUT MORE!

Pup waves as Kit runs.

[Meow]

Kit stands on the edge of a sink as water blows out of a shiny metal faucet.

The narrator says, THESE TAPS ARE MADE OF METAL.

[Running water, pop]

The narrator says, THESE SPOONS ARE MADE OF METAL.

Kit dances on a table beside a cup filled with shiny metal spoons.

[Pop]

The narrator says, DO YOU THINK THIS TOY ELEPHANT
IS MADE OF METAL?

Kit knocks on the trunk of a wooden elephant attached to a string. Kit dances happily.

The narrator says, NO, THAT'S NOT MADE OF METAL!

[Beeping]

The narrator says, WHAT METAL THINGS DID KIT SEE?

METAL TAPS.
AND METAL SPOONS.

[Cheering, upbeat music plays]

Metals paper clips, bolts, keys, latches and bars move into patterns on a flat yellow surface. A tiny boy waves from the top of a sealed can.

The narrator says, METAL!

Kit moves an arm in the armour. Pup reaches up and closes the visor on the front of the knight helmet.

[Clang, squeak]

Kit stumbles to the right.

[Slide whistle, crash, slam]

The helmet lands beside Pup. The visor slams shut.

Kit and Pup jump and spin. Pup’s clothes change into a red mask with a yellow stripe, a yellow and red superhero suit and a blue cape. Kit changes into a green mask with yellow stripes, a blue and green superhero suit and a yellow cape.

[Whoosh]

The narrator says, NOW FOR SOMETHING SUPER!
WE'RE GOING FISHING FOR MAGNETIC METALS.

A girl with bobbed black hair sits beside a boy with short black hair. They sit cross-legged by a sand box. A whisk, yellow watering can and can lie on the surface of the sand. A fishing rod lies beside the sand box.

[Pop, exciting music plays]

The narrator says, THIS FISHING ROD IS MAGNETIC,
AND SOME METALS ARE ATTRACTED TO
MAGNETS. BUT WHICH ONES?

A WATERING CAN. KEYS. A CAN. A WHISK.
AND A SPOON.

WHICH ARE MAGNETIC?

THIS WHISK IS MADE OF METAL, BUT
IS IT ATTRACTED TO THE MAGNET?

The girl uses the fishing rod to pick up the whisk. The boy removes it from the magnet on the end of the line of the fishing rod. He places the whisk on a small red table beside him.

The narrator says, YES!

THIS WATERING CAN IS MADE OF
METAL, BUT DO YOU THINK IT WILL
BE ATTRACTED TO THE MAGNET?

The girl uses the fishing rod to pick up the watering can. The boy removes it from the magnet and places it on the table.

The narrator says, YES!

THIS SPOON IS ALSO MADE OF
METAL, BUT WILL IT BE ATTRACTED
TO THE MAGNET?

The boy and girl shake their heads.

The narrator says, NO!

SO THIS METAL WATERING CAN AND
WHISK WERE ATTRACTED TO THE
MAGNET.

BUT THE METAL SPOON WAS NOT.
SO NOT ALL METALS ARE ATTRACTED
TO MAGNETS.

Children dance.

[Upbeat music plays]
Children sing, THE WORLD IS FULL
OF VARIETY ,

LOOK AROUND, WHAT CAN YOU SEE?
MIRRORS AND OUTFITS
SPONGE AND WATER
WHAT HAVE WE SEEN TODAY?

Children shout, IT'S METAL!
SHINY METAL! YEAH!

Pup sneaks up behind the armour.

[Bark]

[Squeak, crash, gasp]

Kit sneaks up behind Pup.

[Meow]

Pup jumps.

The narrator says, BYE, KIT! BYE, PUP!
