Gran Gran says, IT WAS A COLD AUTUMN MORNING. THE LEAVES WERE CHANGING COLOUR AND FALLING FROM THE TREES. AND JOJO AND GRAN GRAN-- THAT'S ME-- WERE GETTING READY TO GO TO THE DENTIST.
Gran Gran puts toothpaste on a toothbrush.
JoJo says, MUMMY SAYS I NEED TO BRUSH MY TEETH TWICE A DAY, ONCE IN THE MORNING AND ONCE BEFORE BED.
(Gran Gran chuckling)
Gran Gran says, I USED TO TELL YOUR MUMMY THE SAME THING WHEN SHE WAS LITTLE. THAT'S WHY YOU BOTH HAVE BEAUTIFUL SMILES.
JoJo says, IF I TAKE CARE OF MY TEETH, THEY STAY CLEAN AND FRESH AND HEALTHY. AND SOMETIMES, THE DENTIST GIVES ME A STICKER.
Gran Gran says, WELL, WE BETTER GET BRUSHING, THEN. IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Cynthia says, WONDERFUL.

JoJo says, IT'S IMPORTANT TO BRUSH ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TEETH AND THE INSIDE.

JoJo pretends to brush Panda’s teeth.

Gran Gran gets up.
Gran Gran says, HELLO. COULD YOU TELL US HOW LONG IT WILL BE UNTIL JOJO'S APPOINTMENT, PLEASE?
The receptionist says, APOLOGIES. WE'VE HAD A LOT OF APPOINTMENTS TODAY. IT MIGHT BE ANOTHER... FIVE MINUTES?
JoJo says, THAT SOUNDS LIKE AGES, GRAN GRAN. I'LL NEVER GET MY SPECIAL STICKER.
Gran Gran says, JOJO, I THINK IT'S TIME FOR A GRAN GRAN PLAN.
Gran Gran and JoJo sit at a craft table in the waiting room.
Gran Gran says, WE CAN MAKE OUR OWN SPECIAL STICKER TO GIVE TO THE DENTIST, TO PASS THE TIME.

JoJo turns to Cynthia.
JoJo says, IT'S IMPORTANT TO BRUSH ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TEETH AND THE INSIDE.
Cynthia says, MM-HMM.
JoJo says, THAT'S WHAT MUMMY SAYS.
JoJo pretends to brush Panda’s teeth.
JoJo singing, BRUSH, BRUSH, BRUSH.
JoJo says, THE TOOTHPASTE IS NICE AND MINTY, ISN'T IT, PANDA?
JoJo singing, BRUSH, BRUSH, BRUSH.
(Beeping)
JoJo says, FINISHED.
JoJo and Gran Gran say, CLEAN AND FRESH.
The receptionist says, CYNTHIA, THE DENTIST IS READY TO SEE YOU NOW.
Cynthia says, OH, THANK YOU! SEE YOU LATER, JOJO.
Cynthia gets up and walks out of the waiting room.
JoJo calls, BYE, CYNTHIA!
Gran Gran says, GOOD LUCK WITH THE SORE TOOTH!
JoJo asks, GRAN GRAN, HOW MUCH LONGER WILL WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Gran Gran says, HMM. LET'S ASK THE RECEPTIONIST.
Gran Gran gets up.
Gran Gran says, HELLO. COULD YOU TELL US HOW LONG IT WILL BE UNTIL JOJO'S APPOINTMENT, PLEASE?
The receptionist says, APOLOGIES. WE'VE HAD A LOT OF APPOINTMENTS TODAY. IT MIGHT BE ANOTHER... FIVE MINUTES?
JoJo says, THAT SOUNDS LIKE AGES, GRAN GRAN. I'LL NEVER GET MY SPECIAL STICKER.
Gran Gran says, JOJO, I THINK IT'S TIME FOR A GRAN GRAN PLAN.
Gran Gran and JoJo sit at a craft table in the waiting room.
Gran Gran says, WE CAN MAKE OUR OWN SPECIAL STICKER TO GIVE TO THE DENTIST, TO PASS THE TIME.
JoJo says, YES. I KNOW JUST WHAT TO DRAW.
(Music playing)
JoJo uses a crayon to draw on a piece of paper. Gran Gran picks up scissors and cuts the drawing out.
The drawing shows Panda holding a toothbrush.
JoJo and Gran Gran say, TA-DA!
Cynthia walks back into the waiting room.
JoJo says, CYNTHIA! DID THE DENTIST MAKE YOUR TOOTH BETTER?
Cynthia says, YES, JOJO. IT'S FEELING MUCH BETTER NOW.
The receptionist calls, JOJO, THE DENTIST IS READY TO SEE YOU NOW.
(JoJo gasping)
JoJo says, BYE, CYNTHIA!
Gran Gran says, BYE, CYNTHIA!
Cynthia says, BYE!
The dentist has short blonde hair and wears blue scrubs.
The dentist says, HELLO I'M THE DENTIST, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME RUTH.
JoJo says, HELLO, RUTH.
Ruth says, SORRY ABOUT THE WAIT. I'VE HAD LOTS OF TEETH TO CHECK AND CLEAN. IS THAT FOR ME?
JoJo holds up the drawing.
JoJo says, UH-HUH.
Ruth says, WHAT A SPECIAL STICKER. THANK YOU.
JoJo is on the dentist’s chair. Ruth wears a mask and visor and has JoJo’s drawing on her scrubs.
Ruth asks, SHALL WE TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR TEETH, THEN, JOJO? GOING UP!
The chair rises.
JoJo says, HOLD ON, PANDA!
Ruth says, SO, JOJO, HAVE YOU BEEN LOOKING AFTER YOUR TEETH?
JoJo says, I BRUSH THEM FOR TWO MINUTES, TWICE A DAY. ONCE IN THE MORNING AND ONCE BEFORE BED.
Ruth says, EXCELLENT. AND YOU HAVEN'T BEEN EATING TOO MANY SUGARY SNACKS?
JoJo says, NOPE.
Ruth says, GOOD WORK. NOW, POP THESE ON.
Ruth puts dark glasses on JoJo.
(Laughing)
JoJo says, LOOK, GRAN GRAN!
Gran Gran says, VERY COOL.
Ruth says, NOW, I CAN SEE INSIDE YOUR MOUTH.
Ruth looks in JoJo’s open mouth.
Ruth says, MM-HMM. HEALTHY TEETH. HEALTHY GUMS. YOU'VE OBVIOUSLY BEEN LOOKING AFTER YOUR MOUTH.
JoJo says, UH-HUH.
Ruth says, WELL DONE, JOJO.
(Typing sounds)
JoJo stands by Gran Gran while Ruth types on a computer.
Ruth says, I THINK YOU'VE DONE SUCH A GOOD JOB WITH YOUR TEETH, YOU DESERVE--
JoJo and Ruth say, A SPECIAL STICKER!

An adult with long black hair says, RAPHAEL, ARE YOU READY?
Raphael says, YEAH.
Raphael and the adult walk outside a house.
Raphael says, IF WE'RE LATE, WE MIGHT MISS OUR APPOINTMENT. WE'VE GOT TO THE DENTIST ON TIME.
Raphael walks up to a reception desk.
Raphael says, HI, I'M HERE FOR MY DENTIST APPOINTMENT.
The receptionist says, HI, RAPHAEL. TAKE A SEAT. THE DENTIST WILL BE WITH YOU SOON.
Raphael says, OKAY.
The black-haired adult says, THANK YOU.
Raphael and the adult play rock, paper, scissors.
Raphael says, ROCK... WE'RE WAITING FOR MY APPOINTMENT. ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, SHOOT.
The receptionist says, RAPHAEL, YOU CAN GO THROUGH NOW.
Raphael says, THANK YOU.
The dentist wears a dark blue turban and has glasses and a short grey beard.
The dentist says, HELLO, HI, RAPHAEL.
Raphael says, THIS IS THE DENTIST, DR. SINGH.
Dr. Singh asks, YOU OKAY? COME ON UP.
Raphael climbs up on the dentist’s chair.
Raphael says, I LIKE SITTING IN THE DENTIST'S CHAIR. IT MOVES DOWN.
Dr. Singh says, BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO GET THAT BRIGHT LIGHT ON, LET'S HAVE THESE SPECIAL GLASSES ON, TO MAKE YOU LOOK ALL COOL.
Raphael puts on dark glasses.
Raphael says, I HAVE TO WEAR THESE GLASSES WHEN I GET MY TEETH CHECKED.
Dr. Singh says, SO, BIG MOUTH FOR ME, THEN, PLEASE, AS WIDE AS YOU CAN. THAT IS PERFECT. GOOD BOY.
Raphael opens his mouth.
Dr. Singh says, SO, WE'LL START WITH THE UPPER RIGHT, THEN, PLEASE, LORRAINE. SIX E, D, C, B...
Raphael says, DR. SINGH USES A LITTLE MIRROR TO CHECK IF MY TEETH ARE HEALTHY.
Dr. Singh says, ...E, D, C. B MISSING. ONE, ONE, B, C, D, E, AND SIX. NICE AND CLEAN, WELL LOOKED AFTER. GOOD BOY. SO, LET ME SIT YOU UP. SO, WHEN YOU ARE CLEANING THESE TEETH, HOW OFTEN ARE YOU BRUSHING THESE TEETH OF YOURS?
Raphael says, MORNING AND NIGHT.
Dr. Singh says, PERFECT. GOOD ANSWER. RIGHT, WE'LL SEE YOU NEXT TIME.
The black-haired adult says, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Raphael says, BYE.
Dr. Singh says, YOU'RE WELCOME. BYE-BYE.
Raphael says, GOING TO THE DENTIST WAS GREAT! I'VE GOT A SUPER SMILE!

Gran Gran and JoJo sit on a couch in the living room.
JoJo says, I LOVE MY SPECIAL STICKER, GRAN GRAN.
Gran Gran says, YOU EARNT IT, JOJO, FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF YOUR TEETH.
JoJo hugs Gran Gran.
JoJo says, I LOVE YOU, GRAN GRAN.
