A blank slate reads "TVOKids presents."

Music plays.

In animation, the opening of the show rolls.

As the sun comes up between the mountains, colourful letters with different mood facial expressions form the name of the show. It reads "How do you feel?"

Akin stands in front of a map of North America showing clouds that move into the continent from the North Pole.

Akin is in his early teens, with slightly long braided brown hair and wears jeans and a blue shirt.

He says LOOKS LIKE WE'VE GOT A COLD FRONT COMING IN FROM THE NORTH, MIXING WITH A PRESSURE SYSTEM COMING IN FROM THE SOUTH. WHEN THESE MEET IN THE MOUNTAINS, IT'S GOING TO BE... A BLIZZARD? IN AUGUST? NO, NO, NO, NO! I DIDN'T AGREE TO THIS! AH!

He runs away, then walks into his room. Akin's room is full of colourful furniture, has different colour walls, a black and white checkered floor, pink curtains, and a neon sign that reads "Feelings" behind a couch.

He says THE WEATHER CAN BE A REAL BUMMER SOMETIMES. IT'S ALWAYS CHANGING AND CAN BE HARD TO PREDICT. FEELINGS ARE KIND OF LIKE THAT, TOO. THEY COME AND GO, CHANGING EVERY DAY. I CREATED THIS MINDFULNESS MAP TO HELP FORECAST MY MOODS. WE CAN'T ALWAYS CONTROL THE WAY WE'RE FEELING, BUT WE CAN ALWAYS MAKE THINGS BETTER BY PAYING ATTENTION. THAT'S CALLED BEING "MINDFUL": NOTICING WHAT WE'RE THINKING AND FEELING, AND LETTING IT BE OKAY.

He approaches a board that hangs on a wall with a silhouette of himself cut out of a landscape picture.

He says I MIGHT WAKE UP IN THE MORNING FEELING A LITTLE SAD.

He pins a small cloud onto the board and says LATER THE SAME DAY, I MIGHT FEEL EXCITED AND CREATIVE.

He pins a small paper sun onto the board, then a small paper rainbow.

He says BY NIGHTTIME, I MIGHT FEEL A LITTLE TIRED AND SENSITIVE.

Akin pins a moon and a blue cloud onto the board.

He says BEING MINDFUL DOESN'T MEAN WE NEVER FEEL UPSET OR BAD. IT JUST MEANS THAT WE RECOGNIZE THAT IT'S ALL TEMPORARY. AS MY DOG PATTY LIKES TO SAY, "THIS, TOO, SHALL PASS."

He looks up at a sign that reads "Inspiration from Patty. 1) Woof, woof, bark. 2) This too shall pass."

[DOG BARKS]

Akin says WHAT A LEGEND.

He picks up a basketball, approaches a curtain, pulls it open and reveals horrible weather outside.

[WIND BLOWING]

He puts on a warm woollen hat and says SOMETIMES, THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT GOES!

He walks outside.
