Transcript: Follow the Hedgie
In a montage, hedgehogs Pins and Nettie explore and experience new activities together. Pins and Nettie join a birthday party with other hedgehogs. Pins and Nettie laugh together. They hop behind a bird on a sunny day. Pins jumps in a puddle on a sidewalk. Pins and Nettie splash in a puddle in the rain. They hop across grass together and kick a ball back and forth outside their home. Pins and Nettie curl up into balls.

(Calm music plays)
A narrator says, OH, HELLO THERE,
In a grassy field with flowers and bushes, Nettie squeaks and waves. She hops away. A hedgehog with brown quills hops by.
The narrator says, AND GENE, HELLO.
Gene waves and squeaks. Gene hops away. A hedgehog with pink glasses hops by. The narrator chuckles.
The narrator says, AND QUINN.
Quinn squeaks and waves. She hops away. Pins hops by.
The narrator says, AND PINS, THERE YOU ARE.
Pins squeaks and waves. He hops away.
The narrator asks, HUH?
The grassy field remains empty.
The narrator says, WELL, HELLO AGAIN.
The hedgehogs back up one by one. Nettie backs up into the grassy field followed by Gene, Quinn and finally Pins. The hedgehogs wave and squeak. Pins backs up too far and bumps into Quinn.
The narrator says, WHOOPS!
Quinn bumps into Gene, who then bumps into Nettie. Pins jumps around to face the other hedgehogs.
The narrator chuckles.
The narrator says, OH, I THINK I KNOW WHAT'S GOING
ARE YOU ALL PLAYING FOLLOW THE
Pins and the other hedgehogs squeak and laugh.
The narrator says, OH, I LOVE THAT GAME.
WHO'S TURN IS IT TO BE THE
Quinn squeaks and hops around in circles.
The narrator says, ALRIGHTY, QUINN, LEAD AWAY.
EVERYONE ELSE, GET READY TO
Quinn hops and squeaks. She marches. Pins jumps behind Quinn and marches.
The narrator says, OOH, MARCHING.
VERY GOOD, QUINN.
The narrator imitates marching.
Gene hops behind Pins and marches. Nettie squeaks and hops behind Gene. She marches.
The narrator says, OH, MY GOODNESS, QUINN.
LOOK AT YOU.
YOU ARE QUITE THE LEADER.
The hedgehogs start marching away. Quinn leads them back to the grassy field while hopping on one foot. Nettie squeaks. The hedgehogs come to a stop. The narrator chuckles.
The narrator says, GREAT FOLLOWING, ALL OF YOU.
OKAY, NOW WHO'S TURN IS IT TO
BE THE LEADER?
Nettie squeaks and points at Pins. Pins squeaks.
The narrator says, OH, LOVELY, IT'S PINS' TURN!
Pins frowns and raises his eyebrows. Nettie and Quinn smile at Pins. Pins squeaks. He looks nervous.
The narrator says, YES, YOU, PINS.
YOU'RE THE LEADER.
Pins looks uncertain. He shakes his head.
Pins curls up into a ball.
The narrator says, OH, NO, PINS.
The narrator asks, ARE YOU OKAY?
Nettie rubs her quills against Pins. She smiles and steps back. She squeaks.
The narrator says, NETTIE, CAN YOU, QUINN, AND
GENE GIVE PINS AND ME A MOMENT?
Nettie, Quinn and Gene leave. Pins eyes peak out of his curled up self.
The narrator says, OKAY, PINS, IT'S JUST THE TWO
OF US NOW.
Pins uncurls himself. He frowns.
The narrator says, WERE YOU FEELING A BIT SHY
ABOUT BEING THE LEADER?
The narrator says, WELL, BEING LEADER MIGHT NOT BE
FOR YOU, THEN AGAIN IT MIGHT
THERE'S NO WAY TO KNOW UNLESS
Pins looks thoughtful.
The narrator says, I HAVE AN IDEA.
HOW ABOUT YOU THINK OF WHAT YOU
WANT TO DO AS LEADER NOW,
WITHOUT THE OTHERS AROUND?
The narrator says, SURE, A GOOD LEADER ALWAYS
YOU CAN GIVE YOURSELF ALL THE
TIME YOU NEED, AND THEN, IF YOU
STILL DON'T WANT TO BE LEADER,
YOU DON'T HAVE TO.
WHAT DO YOU SAY?
Pins squeaks and smiles.
The narrator says, GREAT.
The narrator asks, YOU READY?
Pins smiles and nods.
The narrator says, GREAT!
NETTIE, GENE, QUINN!
Nettie, Quinn and Gene return.
The narrator says PINS IS READY TO BE YOUR
OKAY, PINS, TAKE IT AWAY.
Pins squeaks and curls up into a ball. The other hedgehogs frown. Pins flips his curled up self.
The narrator says, OH, NO.
Pins eyes peak out. He winks.
The narrator says, OH, I GET IT.
WELL, HEDGIES, FOLLOW THE
Nettie squeaks and curls up into a ball. Quinn and Gene do the same. Their eyes peak out. Pins flips his curled up self and the other hedgehogs do the same. The narrator chuckles. Pins leads the hedgehogs to flip their curled up selves again.
The narrator says, PINS, THAT IS SOME CRACKERJACK
The hedgehogs flip themselves again. Pins uncurls himself and squeaks. He waves. The other hedgehogs uncurl themselves and wave.
