[Playful music plays]
[Kids cheering]
Pepe holds a fishbowl holding an orange fish. Between him and Momolu, a title reads, Momolu Minis. An episode title reads, “Pepe’s New Pet”.
[Soft music plays]
Momolu walks through a forest.
[Panting]
Pepe runs up to Momolu.
He says, MOMOLU, MOMOLU!
GUESS WHAT I GOT?
Momolu says, HMM...
He looks thoughtful.
He guesses, A RED BALLOON?
Pepe says, NO, EVEN BETTER!
Momolu says, HMM...
AH-HA! ICE CREAM!
Pepe says, NO, A PET!
Momolu stops walking.
He says, A PET?
WOW, THAT'S GREAT!
YOU DO KNOW THAT A PET
IS A LOT OF RESPONSIBILITY?
Pepe says, A LOT OF RESPON...
He struggles to pronounce the word.
He tries, …SIBLE...
RESPONSI-BLILITY.
I MEAN,
A LOT TO DO,
BUT MAINLY LOTS AND LOTS
OF FUN AND GAMES!
Momolu says, SOUNDS EXCITING!
Pepe says, COME AND SEE IT!
Momolu follows Pepe back through the forest. In Pepe’s house, an orange fish is in a fishbowl. A bubble floats through the water.
Momolu says, SO WHAT DO WE DO NOW?
Pepe says, WELL, LET ME THINK.
OH, WAIT! I GOT A SMALL LIST
FROM THE PET SHOP.
He unrolls a long piece of paper.
Pepe says, YOU WERE RIGHT.
THERE IS A LOT OF
RESPONSI-BLATIONS TO DO.
[Momolu laughing]
Momolu says, WE'D BETTER GET GOING!
[Cheerful music plays]
Pepe sprinkles fish food into the fishbowl. Water is poured into the bowl. Pepe puts a check mark beside a picture of soap and a picture of fish food.
Momolu and Pepe sit on either side of the fishbowl. Momolu reads from a book with a picture of the moon and stars while Pepe knits with a ball of red yarn. The fish’s eyes slowly close. Momolu builds a small house with popsicle sticks, then Pepe puts a check mark beside a picture of a book and a picture of a house.
Pepe wipes the fishbowl with a cloth until it sparkles. He puts a pillow and blanket on a small bed. Momolu paints the popsicle stick house purple. Pepe puts check marks beside pictures of rocks and sea grass. The popsicle stick house, sea grass, rocks, and bed float in the fishbowl around the orange fish. A bubble floats through the water as a knit hat floats down onto the fish.
Momolu and Pepe roll onto their backs.
Momolu says, PHEW.
DID WE FINISH THE LIST?
Pepe says, YUP,
WE SURE DID.
Momolu sits up.
He says, WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS.
Pepe sits up.
He says, HMM...
He looks thoughtful.
[Pepe gasping]
Holding the fish, Pepe and Momolu throw the doors open.
Together, Pepe and Momolu cheer, PLAYTIME!
They carry the fish outside.
[Pepe and Momolu giggling]
The flips out of the water and bowl.
Momolu says, WHOA…
The fish does another flip.
Momolu says, WHOA…
The fish does a third flip.
Momolu says, WHOA!
[Upbeat music plays]
End credits.
