Craft supplies cover a table.

TVOKids Show Host Laura says, WHAT'S UP, TVOKIDS,
WE'RE GOING TO MAKE OUR VERY
OWN FOOSBALL TABLE.

Text reads, Feel Good Faves.

Laura says, LET'S GET TO IT.
FIRST THINGS FIRST,
YOU'LL NEED A BOX.
I'M USING THIS LITTLE
DOLLAR STORE ONE,
BUT AN OLD SHOEBOX
WILL WORK GREAT TOO.

A box is lined with green paper.

Laura says, LINE YOUR BOX
WITH SOME GREEN PAPER,
AND USE WHITE PAINT
TO ADD ON THE LINES
FROM A SOCCER FIELD.

A soccer field with goalie nets on each end is painted on the green paper

Laura says, LOOKING GOOD!
NEXT, YOU'LL NEED
SOME CLOTHESPINS.
CHOOSE YOUR TWO
TEAM COLOURS,
AND GET PAINTING.

One half of a clothespin is painted turquoise.

Laura says, ONCE YOU'RE FINISHED,
LEAVE THEM TO DRY.

One half of another clothespin is painted maroon.

Laura says, NOW IT'S TIME
TO MAKE YOUR GOALS.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE
YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN
HELP YOU CUT THEM OUT.
I'M USING AN X-ACTO KNIFE,
BUT YOU CAN USE SCISSORS,
TOO.

Openings at each goal are cut from the shoe box.

Laura says, I ALSO GLUED
SOME WHITE PIPE-CLEANERS
TO MAKE A GOALPOST.

White pipe cleaners around the goalpost are pointed to.

Laura says, TIME TO ADD THE FINISHING
TOUCHES TO YOUR PLAYERS.
I'M USING SOME GLUE
TO ADD BEADS
TO THE TOP
OF THE CLOTHESPINS.

A matching coloured bead is glued to the painted tip of a maroon clothespin.

Laura says, NICE!
OKAY, THESE ARE LOOKING
REALLY GOOD.

Matching coloured beads are glued to the turquoise clothespins.

Laura says, NOW THAT YOU HAVE
YOUR TWO TEAMS COMPLETE,
IT'S TIME TO ADD SOME HOLES
ALONG THE SIDES OF YOUR BOX.
I'M USING A HAMMER AND NAIL
TO MAKE SOME SMALL HOLES.
MAKE SURE TO MEASURE SO THAT
EACH SIDE LINES UP PERFECTLY.
AND DON'T FORGET TO GET
YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN'S HELP.

Holes are hammered in on each side of the shoebox soccer field.

Laura says, LASTLY,
TAKE SOME COOKING SKEWERS
AND FEED THEM
THROUGH THE HOLES.

A skewer is bed through one of the holes in the box.

Laura says, FEED YOUR PLAYERS THROUGH
THE SMALL HOLES
WITH THE CLOTHESPINS.
ONCE THEY'RE IN POSITION,
ADD SOME GLUE, AND YOU'RE SET.

A turquoise clothespin player is glued to the skewer. It stands by the goalie net with the skewer fed through the other hole on the other side of the box.

Laura says, FOR A FINAL STEP,
I GLUED SOME BEADS
ONTO THE EDGE
OF THE SKEWERS.
AND WE'RE DONE!

A bead is glued to the end of a skewer.

Laura says OKAY, THIS TURNED OUT
SO GOOD!
SO COOL, A CRAFT THAT YOU
CAN MAKE AND USE.
NOW, ALL THAT'S LEFT
IS TO FIND THE
PERFECT OPPONENT.

The game is placed on a table.

Laura says, GAME ON,
LOLA.

Lola the dog sits at one end of the foosball game.

(Buzzer)

(Cowbell)

(Upbeat music plays)

(Crowd cheering)

A marble is dropped into the foosball game. Lola moves one of the skewer’s with her paw. The marble is passed between the players and rolls into the turquoise team’s net. The turquoise team scores a goal on the maroon team.
