An animated sun shines brightly as a plane flies through the sky. An owl sits on a tree branch beside host Mandisa, who waves. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated ladybug lands on a flower beside Mandisa. A bus drives down a street as Mandisa walks down a path. Mandisa wears a fox hand puppet crafted out of a paper bag and holds a cardboard robot. Mandisa smiles.

A title reads, Curious Crafting.

Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom wearing denim overalls over a peach sweater. She sits with a child with short red hair who wears a red shirt and a child with long black hair who wears a grey shirt.

Mandisa says, LOOK HOW MANY COINS WE HAVE.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT A
PIGGY BANK IS?

The black haired child says, TO PUT COINS IN.

Mandisa says, KIND OF LIKE THIS ONE.

Mandisa pulls out a piggy bank craft.

The black haired child asks, HOW DO YOU MAKE IT?

Mandisa says, I MADE THIS USING A WATER BOTTLE
AND YOU PUT THE COINS
IN RIGHT THERE.

The red haired child admires the piggy bank and looks at the spot for coins.

The child says, RIGHT THERE.

Mandisa asks, WHO WANTS TO MAKE THEIR OWN
PIGGY BANK?

The children cheer, ME!

Mandisa says, OK, LET'S GO GET SET UP.

Mandisa and the children leave the table. The children collect craft supplies.

The red haired child says, YEAH!

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED COINS
GOOGLY EYES, SQUARE
WOODEN BEADS,
EMPTY WATER BOTTLES,
PIPE CLEANERS, CONSTRUCTION
PAPER,
GLUE AND A MARKER.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children and the craft supplies.

Mandisa says, NOW WHAT CAN WE USE TO MAKE
THE BODY OF OUR PIGGY BANK?

The children each grab an empty plastic water bottle.

The red haired child says, BOTTLES!

Mandisa says, TO COVER OUR PIGGY BANK,
I HAVE SOME
CONSTRUCTION PAPER.

Mandisa holds pink construction paper.

She says, WE ARE GOING TO PUT
SOME GLUE
ALL OVER THE
CONSTRUCTION PAPER
AND THEN WRAP IT AROUND YOUR
WATER BOTTLE.

Mandisa demonstrates wrapping a water bottle in the pink paper.

She says, AND THEN I'M GOING TO HELP
SECURE IT WITH A PIECE OF TAPE.

The red haired child says, PIECE OF TAPE.

Mandisa says, YEAH.

Mandisa tapes down the pink paper onto the red haired child’s water bottle. The black haired child rolls a water bottle onto their pink paper.

Mandisa says, NOW, IT'S TIME TO MAKE OUR
PIGGY'S...

Mandisa points to her piggy bank.

The red haired child says, …FACE!

Mandisa says, I HAVE SOME GOOGLY EYES HERE.

The dark haired child reaches for Mandisa’s bowl of googly eyes.

The child says, I'M GOING TO
USE PINK.

The child pulls out a googly eye.

The child says, MINE IS PINK.

The red haired child holds a googly eye and says, WHITE.

Mandisa helps the black haired child spread glue onto their water bottle.

The child says, I'M PUTTING A LOT.

The red haired child glues a googly eye onto their water bottle.

They say, PERFECT.

The black haired child glues on a googly eye.

The child says, TWO EYES TO SEE.

Mandisa says, ALL RIGHT, NOW IT'S TIME TO PUT
ON OUR PIG'S EARS.

Mandisa points to her piggy’s ears.

The black haired child says, YAY!
OINK, OINK!

Mandisa laughs.

The black haired child says, OINK, OINK!

The red haired child adds ears to the piggy bank craft.

Mandisa says, NOW WE NEED TO MAKE OUR PIG'S...

The black haired child says, …NOSE!

Mandisa says, AND YOU'RE GOING TO PUT A PIECE
OF PAPER INSIDE
AND CREATE A LITTLE CIRCLE.

Mandisa helps the black haired child use a hole punch.

Mandisa says, YES, AND LET'S SEE.
IS THERE A CIRCLE?

The black haired child collects the pink circle from the hole-punched paper.

The child says, YEAH!

Mandisa says, THERE YOU GO.

The red haired child uses the hole punch.

Mandisa says, AND YOU CAN DRAW A LITTLE SNOUT
ON YOUR PIG'S NOSE.

The red haired child draws on their pig’s nose. The black haired child admires their craft.

The child says, I LIKE MINE.

Mandisa says, NOW WE'RE GOING TO MAKE THE SLIT
FOR THE COIN ON TOP.
AND THAT'S A GOOD STEP TO HAVE
AN ADULT HELP YOU WITH.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children’s piggy banks that have slits cut in the water bottles.

Mandisa says, AND NOW THAT WE HAVE
OUR SLITS CUT,
I HAVE SOME WOODEN BEADS HERE
THAT WE CAN USE FOR OUR PIGGY
BANK'S FEET.

The children collect wooden beads from Mandisa and attach them to their piggy banks.

Mandisa says, OUR PIG IS ALMOST DONE, BUT
WE'RE MISSING ONE THING.

Mandisa points to the tail on her piggy bank.

The black haired child says, THE TAIL!

Mandisa says, THE TAIL.
I HAVE TWO PIPE CLEANERS HERE
FOR YOU.
CAN YOU STICK YOUR FINGER OUT,
COLETTE?

Colette, the dark haired child, says, YEAH.

Colette sticks one of her thumbs out.

Mandisa says, OK, AND I'M GOING TO WRAP
THE PIPE CLEANER
AROUND YOUR FINGER.

Mandisa wraps a pink pipe cleaner around Colette’s thumb. Colette giggles.

Mandisa says, WRAP IT AROUND YOUR
FINGER…

Mandisa wraps a pipe cleaner around the red haired child’s finger.

Mandisa says, …AND THEN TAKE IT OFF…

Mandisa takes the pipe cleaner off the child’s finger.

Mandisa says, …AND THEN YOU HAVE A
NICE CURLY TAIL.

The red haired child grins.

Mandisa says, AND THEN YOU CAN TUCK THAT IN AT
THE BACK OF YOUR PIG
UNDERNEATH YOUR
CONSTRUCTION PAPER.

The children add the curly pipe cleaner tails to their piggy banks.

Mandisa says, NOW IT'S TIME TO PUT SOME
COINS IN THEM!

The red haired child says, COINS IN THEM!

Colette says, THAT'S RIGHT.

The red haired boy takes some coins from a bowl Mandisa holds out.

Mandisa says, GO FOR IT.
GOOD JOB.

The children put coins in their piggy banks.

Mandisa says, LET'S SEE WHAT OUR PIGGY BANKS
SOUND LIKE
WHEN WE SHAKE THEM.

Coins rattle as Mandisa and the children shake their piggy banks.
