An animated sun shines brightly as a plane flies through the sky. An owl sits on a tree branch beside host Mandisa, who waves. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated ladybug lands on a flower beside Mandisa. A bus drives down a street as Mandisa walks down a path. Mandisa wears a fox hand puppet crafted out of a paper bag and holds a cardboard robot. Mandisa smiles.

A title reads, Curious Crafting.

Mandisa holds a monster art craft over her face as she takes a seat in a playroom. She wears denim overalls over a light brown shirt.

Mandisa asks, DO YOU KIDS KNOW WHAT I AM?
A MONSTER.

Mandisa sits at a table with a child with short black hair who wears a light blue shirt and a child with long black hair in a pony tail who wears a red shirt.

The long haired child says, MONSTER.

The short haired child says, MONSTER.

Mandisa says, THAT 'S RIGHT.
I'M A PAINT SPLAT
MONSTER.

The short haired child says, A PAINT SPLAT MONSTER!

Mandisa asks, WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE ONE OF
YOUR OWN?

Both children say, YEAH!

Mandisa says, LET'S GO GET OUR CRAFT SUPPLIES.

Mandisa and the children leave the table. The children collect craft supplies.

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED
CONSTRUCTION PAPER,
FOAM SHAPES, PAINT,
AND WHITE PAPER,
AND DON'T FORGET GOOGLY EYES.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children and their craft supplies.

Mandisa says, OK, SO HERE'S A PIECE OF FOLDED
PAPER FOR YOU
AND ONE FOR YOU, GEORGIA.
OK SO JUST A COUPLE OF
DROPS OF PAINT
AND THEN I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU
WHAT TO DO.

Mandisa pours drops of paint onto one half of the short haired child’s folded piece of white paper. Georgia, the long haired child, watches.

Mandisa says, THEN WE'RE GOING TO ADD SOME
ORANGE.

Mandisa adds drops of orange paint to the short haired child’s paper. She pours drops of paint onto Georgia’s paper.

The short haired child says, THAT LOOKS LIKE LAVA.

Mandisa says, IT LOOKS LIKE LAVA!

The short haired child says, YEAH, LIKE A VOLCANO.

One of the children says, YEAH.

Mandisa says, NOW WE ARE GOING TO DO OUR
PAINT SPLATS.
FOLD OVER THIS PIECE OF PAPER,
JUST LIKE THAT,
AND THEN YOU'RE GOING TO
GENTLY SQUEEZE
ALL THE PAINT INSIDE OF
YOUR PAPER.

Mandisa helps Georgia fold the paper and squeeze the paint. The short haired child presses down on their folded paper.

Mandisa says, LET'S OPEN IT UP AND SEE
WHAT WE HAVE.

Mandisa unfolds the short haired child’s paper revealing the blended paint colours.

Mandisa says, OH,
WOW, LOOK AT THAT!

Georgia says, IT LOOKS LIKE A
BUTTERFLY.

Mandisa says, IT DOES LOOK LIKE A BUTTERFLY.
THE BUTTERFLY!

The short haired child says, BUTTERDFLY!

Mandisa says, LET'S TURN THOSE PAINT
SPLATS INTO...

The children say, MONSTERS!

Mandisa says, I HAVE SOME GOOGLY EYES.

Mandisa holds out a small bowl of googly eyes.

The short haired child says, I WANT SOME
BIG ONES.

Mandisa says, YOU CAN PUT SOME GLUE ON THE
BACK OF YOUR GOOGLY EYES.

Georgia squeezes glue onto the back of a large googly eye.

Mandisa says, AND GLUE IT DOWN.

The short haired child presses a googly eye onto the painting.

Mandisa says, GEORGIA, ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE A
FRIENDLY MONSTER?

Georgia says, NO, A MEAN MONSTER.

Mandisa says, A MEAN MONSTER!

The short haired child says, THAT WILL BE SO COOL!

Mandisa says, OK, WHAT SHOULD WE ADD TO OUR
MONSTER NEXT?

The short haired child says, TEETH!

Georgia says, TEETH!

Mandisa says, TEETH. I HAVE SOME
FOAM-SHAPED TRIANGLES
AND A CONSTRUCTION PAPER MOUTH.

The short haired child says, I GOT ONE
RIGHT HERE.

Mandisa says, YOU HAVE ONE?
OK. CAN YOU GLUE
THAT DOWN?
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO PUT
YOUR MOUTH?
YEAH, PUT A LITTLE BIT OF GLUE
IN THE BACK.

Mandisa helps the short haired child put glue on the back of their construction paper monster mouth.

Mandisa says, GOOD.

The short haired child says, MINE LOOKS LIKE A
SNAKE.

Mandisa says, IT LOOKS LIKE YOUR GLUE LOOKS
LIKE A SNAKE.
GOOD.

The short haired child says, YEAH.

The child glues the paper mouth onto their monster.

Mandisa asks, WHAT SHOULD WE ADD NEXT TO OUR
MONSTER?

Mandisa holds up her monster paint craft.

The short haired child says, HUH.

The child points to Mandisa’s painting.

The child says, ARMS.

Mandisa says, SOME ARMS.
TWO ARMS AND TWO LEGS.

The short haired child holds a bottle of glue.

Mandisa says, SO YOU CAN PUT SOME GLUE
RIGHT THERE.

Mandisa helps Georgia with the glue.

Mandisa says, AWESOME.

The short haired child works on their monster’s arms.

Mandisa says, GOOD, ARJAY.
GOOD

Arjay, the short haired child, and Georgia glue down strips of construction paper with folded creases.

Arjay says, I'M BENDING.

Mandisa says, GOOD JOB, GEORGIA!
LOOK AT THAT MONSTER, HE LOOKS
FIERCE AND SCARY ALREADY.

Georgia grins.

Mandisa says, WE HAVE TWO MORE THINGS TO ADD.
WHAT CAN WE ADD?

Georgia says, HAIR.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.
YEAH, I'VE GOT SOME CONSTRUCTION
PAPER THERE FOR HAIR.

Georgia collects small rectangular pieces of paper.

Mandisa says, OH, YOU'RE GIVING YOUR MONSTER
MULTICOLOURED HAIR.

Georgia glues the pieces of paper to their monster art.

Mandisa says, GEORGIA, DO YOU WANT TO ADD SOME
POLKADOTS?

Georgia says, YEAH.

Mandisa says, I HAVE SOME FOAM CIRCLES HERE.
YOU CAN ADD SOME POLKA DOTS TO
YOUR MONSTER.

Georgia adds a polka dot to the monster. Arjay holds up their monster painting.

Mandisa says, WOW.
OUR PAINT SPLAT MONSTER LOOKS
SO GOOD.

Georgia holds up their monster painting.

Mandisa and the children say, RAWRRRR!

Mandisa says, OK, LET'S GO TO THE NORTH.

Arjay says, UH OH!
