An animated sun shines brightly as a plane flies through the sky. An owl sits on a tree branch beside host Mandisa, who waves. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated ladybug lands on a flower beside Mandisa. A bus drives down a street as Mandisa walks down a path. Mandisa wears a fox hand puppet crafted out of a paper bag and holds a cardboard robot. Mandisa smiles.

A title reads, Curious Crafting.

Mandisa looks out a playroom window with two children. She wears denim overalls over a peach shirt. One of the children has curly auburn hair and wears a blue shirt. The other has long black hair and wears a pink shirt.

Mandisa says, THAT'S A PRETTY BIRD.

The black haired child says, YEAH.

The auburn haired child says, YEAH.

Mandisa and the children take a seat at a table.

The black haired child says, I THINK IT'S
HUNGRY.

Mandisa says, WELL, MAYBE WE SHOULD CRAFT A
BIRD FEEDER
SO WE CAN FEED IT.

Mandisa holds a red bird feeder that looks like a bird.

The auburn haired child says, HOW DO WE DO THAT?

Mandisa says, GREAT QUESTION.
I'LL SHOW YOU HOW.
LET'S GO.

Mandisa and the children leave the table. The children collect craft supplies.

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED RED PAINT,
GOOGLY EYES,
AN EMPTY MILK CARTON
PAINTED WHITE,
CONSTRUCTION PAPER, A GLUE
STICK,
AND BOTTLE OF GLUE.
AND DON'T FORGET PAINTBRUSHES.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children and their craft supplies.

Mandisa says, OK, WE HAVE ALL OUR SUPPLIES.
WE'RE GOING TO START WITH OUR
MILK CARTONS
AND WE'RE GOING TO PAINT
THEM RED.

Mandisa hands a milk carton to each of the children.

The black haired child says, I NEED THESE.

The child grabs a paintbrush.

Mandisa says, GRAB SOME RED PAINT AND
YOUR BRUSH.

The black haired child dips their paintbrush into a bowl of red paint.

The child says, OH!

Mandisa says, AND LET'S PAINT OUR MILK CARTON.

The auburn haired child starts painting their milk carton.

They say, YEAH!

The black haired child says, NICE RED COLOUR.

The children paint their milk cartons.

Mandisa says, COLETTE, IS RED YOUR FAVOURITE
COLOUR?

Colette, the black haired child, says, YES.

The auburn haired child says, PAINT, PAINT, PAINT,
WE NEED TO
TRY TO DRAW IN IT.

The children continue to paint their milk cartons in a time lapse. They sit at the table with painted cartons.

Mandisa says, OK, THESE LOOK AMAZING, BUT WE
NEED TO LET THEM...

Colette says, …DRY!

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.

Mandisa and the children sit at the table with cut outs in their now dry milk cartons.

Mandisa says, OK, I USED A PAIR OF SCISSORS
TO CUT OUT THE FRONT AND BACK OF
OUR BIRD FEEDER,
AS WELL AS THE SIDES TO
MAKE THE...

Colette says, …WINGS.

Mandisa says, THIS IS A GOOD PART TO HAVE AN
ADULT HELP YOU, OK.

The auburn haired child says, LIKE THIS.

The child holds their milk carton.

Mandisa says, NOW IT'S TIME TO ADD THE...

She points to her craft.

Colette says, …THE MOUTH.

Mandisa says, THE MOUTH, THAT'S RIGHT, AND
THE...

The auburn haired child says, YOU'RE FORGETTING
THE NOSE.

The child touches their nose.

Mandisa says, …AND THE NOSE.
AND WHAT ARE THESE?

Mandisa points to another part of the birdfeeder.

Colette says, THOSE ARE THE LEGS.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT, OR THE FEET AND
SOME...

The auburn haired child says, …GOOGLY EYES.

Mandisa asks, WHAT SIZE GOOGLY EYES DO YOU
WANT FOR YOUR BIRD FEEDER?

Colette says, I WANT THE GOLD ONES.

Mandisa says, OK.

The children pick googly eyes from a bowl.

Colette says, I WANT PINK...

The auburn haired child says, I WANT THIS.

Colette says, …AND THIS ONE.

The children glue their googly eyes onto their bird feeders.

Colette says, THE ONE PRESS DOWN
LIKE THAT
I NEED TO DO IT
LIKE THAT.

Mandisa says, OK NOW YOU CAN PUT ON
YOUR BEAK.

Colette holds a triangle cut from orange construction paper.

Colette says, BEAK.

Colette glues the beak onto their bird feeder.

The auburn haired child says, BEAK.

The child glues on their beak to bird feeder.

Colette says, WE DID A BIG
ONE.
I'M GONNA PUT
THIS THERE.

Mandisa says, YOU'RE GOING TO PUT IT THERE.

Colette says, IT'S MY
LAST EYE!

Mandisa says, I LOVE YOURS.

The children add the finishing touches to their bird feeders.

Mandisa says, OUR BIRD FEEDERS LOOK GREAT.
NOW WHAT COULD WE PUT
INSIDE BIRD FEEDERS
TO FEED THE BIRDS?

Colette says, I DON'T KNOW.

The auburn haired child says, BIRDFEED.

Mandisa says, YES, I HAVE SOME BIRDSEED HERE.

Mandisa pulls out two bowls of bird seed. One bowl is purple, the other is yellow.

The auburn haired child says, I DON'T WANT THAT ONE. I
WANT YELLOW.

The children trade bowls.

Colette says, I WANT THIS ONE BECAUSE
PURPLE, IT'S MY FAVOURITE.

Mandisa says, OK, LET'S PUT SOME INSIDE OF
YOUR BIRD FEEDER.

The auburn haired child asks, ALL THE WAY?

Mandisa says, NO, JUST AT THE BOTTOM
THERE, YEAH.

The children spoon bird seed in their bird feeders.

Colette says, IT'S EASY.

The auburn haired child says, I'LL JUST
DUMP IT IN.

The child tries to dump their bowl of bird seed into their bird feeder.

Mandisa says, I THINK BIRDS ARE GOING TO LOVE
THIS FOOD FOR THEM.
LET'S GO SEE IF OUR BIRD FRIENDS
ARE HUNGRY.

Colette says, OK!

Mandisa and the children leave with their bird feeders.
