An animated sun shines brightly as a plane flies through the sky. An owl sits on a tree branch beside host Mandisa, who waves. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated ladybug lands on a flower beside Mandisa. A bus drives down a street as Mandisa walks down a path. Mandisa wears a fox hand puppet crafted out of a paper bag and holds a cardboard robot. Mandisa smiles.

A title reads, Curious Crafting.

Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom. She wears a green headband and denim overalls over a white shirt. Two children run and join Mandisa at the table. Mandisa holds up a bumble bee craft. One of the children has short straight brown hair and the other has long, curly brown hair.

Mandisa asks, DO YOU LIKE MY BUMBLEBEE
WINDSOCK?

One of the children cheers, YEAH!

Mandisa says, IT TELLS YOU WHEN THE WIND
IS BLOWING
AND FROM WHERE.

Mandisa’s bumble windsock blows to the right.

She says, IT TELLS YOU WHEN THE WIND IS
BLOWING AND FROM WHERE.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE A
BUMBLEBEE WIND SOCK?

The short haired child says, YES.

The curly haired child says, YEAH.

Mandisa says, OK, LET'S GO GET WHAT WE NEED.

Mandisa and the children leave the table. The children collect craft supplies.

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED PAINT,
GOOGLY EYES.
GLUE STICK AND TAPE,
CONSTRUCTION PAPER,
A SINGLE HOLE PUNCH
AND CRATE PAPER.
PAINTBRUSHES, CARDBOARD TUBES,
CONSTRUCTION PAPER, YARN AND
PIPE CLEANERS.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children and their crafting supplies.

Mandisa says, OK.
WHAT COLOUR IS MY BUMBLEBEE?

The curly haired child says, YELLOW.

The short haired child says, YELLOW AND BLACK.

Mandisa says, AND BLACK.
WHAT CAN WE USE FOR OUR
BUMBLEBEE'S BODY?

The short haired child says, I KNOW.

The child grabs one of two white cardboard tubes.

The child says, THESE.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.
CARDBOARD TUBES.
OK, LET'S PAINT IT FIRST.

The children dip paintbrushes in bowls of yellow paint.

The short haired child says, COULD THEY
BE PAINTED?

Mandisa says, AND PAINT YOUR ENTIRE CARDBOARD
TUBE YELLOW.

The children each paint a cardboard tube.

Mandisa asks, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YELLOW
LUKE?
DO YOU LIKE IT?

Luke, the short haired child, says, YEAH!
IT'S COOL.

Luke and the curly haired child play with their now painted cardboard tubes.

Mandisa says, OK, OUR BUMBLE BEE BODIES
ARE DRY
AND IT'S TIME TO PUT SOME
STRIPES ON.
I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU SOME
CONSTRUCTION PAPER STRIPES
TO GLUE ONTO YOUR BUMBLEBEE.

Mandisa gives the curly haired child some thin black construction paper strips.

Luke says, YEAH I WANT TO.

Mandisa says, YOU WANT TO PUT SOME
GLUE HERE?

The curly haired child glues one of the black strips onto their cardboard tube.

Mandisa says, TAKE THAT AND YOU WRAP IT AROUND
RIGHT THERE.

Mandisa helps the curly haired child while Luke works on his craft.

Mandisa asks, WHAT DO OUR BUMBLEBEES
NEED TO FLY?

Mandisa holds up her bumble craft.

Luke says, WINGS.

Mandisa says, WINGS!
I HAVE SOME CONSTRUCTION PAPER
WINGS THAT I CUT OUT.
THAT YOU CAN GLUE TO THE BACK OF
YOUR BUMBLEBEE.

Mandisa holds up two pieces of white construction paper cut outs that look like bumble bee wings. The curly haired girl takes one of the cut outs.

Mandisa says, PUT SOME GLUE RIGHT HERE IN THE
MIDDLE.

Luke spreads glue in the middle of his wing cut out.

Mandisa says, THAT'S GOOD!

The curly haired child glues their cardboard tube onto their wing cut out.

Mandisa says, SO THE NEXT STEP IS...

Mandisa brings out the bowl of googly eyes.

Luke cheers, …EYES!

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT, SOME GOOGLY EYES.

The children glue googly eyes onto their yellow cardboard tubes.

Mandisa asks, ARE YOU GOING TO GLUE ON YOUR
SECOND EYE?

The curly haired child says, YEAH.

Mandisa says, NOW WE'RE GOING TO PUT ON
THE LITTLE TAILS OF OUR
BUMBLEBEE.
A LITTLE PIECE OF STICKY TAPE
INSIDE OF YOUR BUMBLEBEE.

The curly haired child sticks tape to the inside of their cardboard tube.

Mandisa says, YELLOW CRATE PAPER HERE.
STICK THAT INTO THE GLUE THERE.

Mandisa helps the curly haired child stick strips of crate paper to the tape in their cardboard tube.

The child says, BEE, BEE BE

Luke sticks the crate paper to his cardboard tube.

He says, FLYING NOW.

Luke plays with his craft.

Mandisa says, SOME MORE GLUE INSIDE.

The curly haired child adds the crate paper to the cardboard tube.

Mandisa says, WE'RE GOING TO USE A SINGLE
HOLE PUNCH
TO MAKE TWO HOLES ON EITHER SIDE
OF YOUR WIND STOCK.

The curly haired girl punches a hole into the side of the windsock craft with Mandisa’s help.

Mandisa says, OK, AND NOW WE'RE GOING TO TAKE
OUR STRING
AND WE'RE GOING TO SLIDE IT
THROUGH EACH HOLE.
SLIDE IT THROUGH EACH HOLE.

Luke says, I'LL TRY.

Mandisa helps the children slide string through the holes on either side of their cardboard tubes.

Luke says, THERE YOU GO.

Mandisa says, WE HAVE ONE MORE THING TO ADD.

Luke says, THE PROPELLERS...

Mandisa says, THE PROPELLERS, THE ANTENNA.
THAT'S RIGHT, YOU CAN TAKE A
PIPE CLEANER LUKE.
I'M GOING TO CURL IT AROUND YOUR
FINGER LIKE THAT.

Mandisa wraps the end of a black pipe cleaner around Luke’s finger. The curly haired child tries with their own pipe cleaner.

Mandisa says, THERE YOU'VE GOT TWO ANTENNA.

Mandisa helps the curly haired child make antenna with their pipe cleaner.

Mandisa says, ALL RIGHT, NOW LET'S TAPE OUR
PIPE CLEANER.
AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO TAPE IT
RIGHT INSIDE JUST LIKE THAT.

Mandisa tapes the piper cleaner into the cardboard tube of the curly haired child’s craft.

Mandisa says, GOOD JOB.

The curly haired child holds up their windsock.

Mandisa says, THESE LOOK SO AMAZING.
GOOD JOB, YOU GUYS.
LET'S TRY MAKING THEM BLOW IN
THE WIND.

Mandisa and the children wave their bumble windsocks around them.

Luke says, OHHHH.

Mandisa and the children play with their windsocks.
