An animated sun shines brightly as a plane flies through the sky. An owl sits on a tree branch beside host Mandisa, who waves. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated ladybug lands on a flower beside Mandisa. A bus drives down a street as Mandisa walks down a path. Mandisa wears a fox hand puppet crafted out of a paper bag and holds a cardboard robot. Mandisa smiles.

A title reads, Curious Crafting.

Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom. She wears a colourful headband and denim overalls over a light pink shirt. Two children sit with her. One has short black hair while the other has long brown hair.

Mandisa asks, WHO WANTS TO MAKE A CRAFT?

Both children raise their hands.

The black haired child says, ME.

Mandisa says, OK, I HAVE HIDDEN SOMETHING
REALLY SPECIAL IN OUR
ROOM TODAY.
I'LL GIVE YOU A HINT IT'S RED
WITH BLACK SPOTS ON IT.
CAN WE GO TRY AND FIND IT?

The black haired child nods.

Mandisa says, GO AHEAD.

The children stand. They search the room in a timelapse. The brown haired child finds a ladybug craft. The children return to the table with the craft.

Mandisa says, RIGHT, A CUTE LITTLE LADYBUG.
LET'S GO GET THE SUPPLIES THAT
WE NEED.

Mandisa and the children leave the table. The children collect craft supplies.

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED RED
CONSTRUCTION PAPER,
A SINGLE HOLE PUNCH, GOOGLY
EYES.
A GLUE STICK AND BLACK
CONSTRUCTION PAPER.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children and their crafting supplies.

Mandisa asks, DO YOU SEE ANYTHING RED HERE WE
COULD USE
FOR OUR LADYBUG'S BODY?

The black haired child points to red construction paper circle cut outs.

The child says, COLOUR!

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.
THOSE RED CIRCLES, WE'RE GOING
TO FOLD OUR RED CIRCLES IN HALF.

Mandisa helps the brown haired child fold one of the red circles.

Mandisa says, SO LIKE JUST LIKE…

Mandisa folds the circle.

She says, …YOU'RE GOING
TO PUT A LITTLE BIT OF GLUE.
JUST THE BOTTOM HALF OF YOUR
CIRCLES.
AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO TAKE OUR
OTHER CIRCLE...

The black haired child spreads a line of glue onto their folded circle. Mandisa grabs two of the brown haired child’s folded circles.

Mandisa says, OK, AND THEN YOU'RE GOING TO
STICK IT ON
SO THAT WE'RE GOING TO CREATE
LITTLE WINGS FOR YOUR LADYBUG
AND THEN OPEN IT UP SO YOU GOT
YOUR LADYBUG'S BODY.

Mandisa helps the black haired child open up two glued together folded circles.

Mandisa says, AND I HAVE SOME LADYBUG PARTS,
THE LEGS AND THE HEAD.

The brown haired child collects construction paper cut outs from Mandisa.

Mandisa says, WE'RE GOING TO FLIP OUR LADY
BUG OVER
AND THEN YOU'RE GOING TO
GLUE THE LEGS
ON THE UNDERSIDE OF YOUR
LADYBUG.

The brown haired child glues a paper cut out leg to their ladybug.

The child says, I PUT THE LADYBUG'S
LEG IN.

Mandisa says, AND NEXT, WE'RE GOING TO DO
THE...

Both children say, …ANTENNAS!

Mandisa says, AND THE?

The black haired child says, HEAD!

Mandisa says, A BLACK SEMICIRCLE FOR
YOUR HEAD.

The children glue more paper cut outs to their ladybugs.

The brown haired child says, I PUT A LOT OF
ANTENNAS ON.

Mandisa says, YOU DID.
GOOD.
NOW WE NEED TO MAKE A...

The black haired child says, CIRCLE!

Mandisa says, CIRCLE, THAT'S RIGHT.
SO I HAVE THIS BABY
LEATHER PUNCH.

Mandisa pulls out a piece of black construction paper.

She says, AND IT'S GOING TO MAKE LITTLE
TINY CIRCLES.
SLIDE THE PAPER IN AND THEN
PRESS DOWN.

Mandisa helps the brown haired child punch a hole into the black construction paper.

Mandisa says, YEAH.
GOOD JOB.
AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO MOVE IT
AND MAKE ANOTHER CIRCLE.

Mandisa helps the brown haired child move the leather punch.

Mandisa says, OK PRESS DOWN.

The brown haired child punches another hole in the construction paper.

Mandisa says, GOOD JOB!
OK, LET'S FIND THE CIRCLES.

Mandisa moves the construction paper.

She says, THERE THEY ARE TWO LITTLE
PERFECT CIRCLES!
YOU CAN GLUE THOSE ON TOP OF
YOUR ANTENNA.

Both children glue black paper circles to their ladybug’s antennas.

The brown haired child says, AND NOW WE NEED A
GOOGLY EYE.

Mandisa says, OK, CAN YOU CHOOSE A GOOGLY EYE?

The children pick googly eyes from a bowl.

The black haired child says, GOOD.

The children glue their googly eyes to their ladybug crafts.

Mandisa says, THAT'S GREAT.
OK, GUYS, THESE LADYBUGS LOOK
REALLY GREAT.
OH BUT WAIT, ARE THEY DONE?

The black haired child says, NO!

The brown haired child says, THEY NEED
POLKA DOTS.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT!
I HAVE A BIG LEATHER PUNCH.

Mandisa places a big leather punch on the table. The black haired child uses the hole punch on black construction paper.

She says, THERE YOU GO, MOVE IT DOWN.

Mandisa helps the brown haired child with the punch.

Mandisa says, GOOD.

The black haired child punches more holes in their construction paper. Both children glue the black circles onto their ladybug crafts.

The brown haired child says, THAT LOOKS LIKE YOURS.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT.

Mandisa and the children’s ladybug crafts sit on the table cleared of craft supplies.

Mandisa says, WOW, THE SPOTS ON OUR LADYBUGS
LOOK SO GREAT.

The black haired child smiles.

Mandisa asks, SHOULD WE TAKE THEM FOR A WALK?

The brown haired child says, YEAH.

Mandisa says, OK, LET'S GO.

Mandisa and the children grab their ladybugs and leave the table.

Mandisa says, WHOOOAAA!

She and the children play with their ladybugs.
