An animated sun shines brightly as a plane flies through the sky. An owl sits on a tree branch beside host Mandisa, who waves. Mandisa has black hair held back by a headband and wears denim overalls over a peach t-shirt.

An animated ladybug lands on a flower beside Mandisa. A bus drives down a street as Mandisa walks down a path. Mandisa wears a fox hand puppet crafted out of a paper bag and holds a cardboard robot. Mandisa smiles.

A title reads, Curious Crafting.

Mandisa sits at a table in a playroom. She wears a colourful headband and wears denim overalls over a white shirt. Two children sit with her. One has short curly brown hair while the other has long black hair

Mandisa says, I MADE A CRAFT, AND I WANT YOU
TO GUESS WHAT IT IS.

Mandisa pulls out two crafts.

Both children say, OCTOPUS.

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT!

(Bubbles popping)

Mandisa asks, WOULD YOU GUYS LIKE TO MAKE AN
OCTOPUS CRAFT?

Both children say, OH YES.

Mandisa says, OK, LET'S GO GET OUR CRAFT
SUPPLIES.

Mandisa and the children leave the table. The children collect craft supplies.

Mandisa narrates, WE'RE GOING TO NEED
COLOURFUL PONY BEADS.
PAINT STICKS,
GOOGLY EYES, CRAB STICKS,
TISSUE PAPER AND GLUE.

Mandisa sits at the table with the children and their crafting supplies.

Mandisa says, WE NEED TO PAINT FOUR
CRAFTS STICKS.
AND WHAT COLOUR WOULD YOU LIKE
TO USE HUGO?

Mandisa slides a bowl of paint markers to Hugo, the short haired child, who picks a marker.

Hugo says, BLUE.

Mandisa says, BLUE, NICE.

Both children paint craft sticks. The long haired child paints a craft sticks purple.

Mandisa says, THOSE CRAFT STOCKS LOOK
REALLY GOOD,
THEY'RE GOING TO MAKE AMAZING
OCTOPUS LEGS.

The long haired child says, YEAH.

Mandisa says, ONE, TWO DOWN.

The children finish painting their craft sticks.

Mandisa says, ALL RIGHT NOW WE'RE
GOING TO GLUE
OUR OCTOPUS LEGS TOGETHER.
CAN YOU MAKE A T SHAPE?
A LITTLE BIT OF GLUE RIGHT
THERE.

Mandisa points to the centre of a craft stick. The long haired child glues two painted craft sticks together by their centres in a T shape.

Mandisa says, OKAY.

Hugo says, I MADE A T.

Mandisa says, YOU MADE A T!
WE'RE GOING TO MAKE AN X.

Mandisa helps Hugo glue a third craft stick onto the others in an X shape. The long haired child adds glue to the centre of their stack while Hugo presses down on his. Mandisa helps the long haired child.

Mandisa says, PRESS IT DOWN.
ALL RIGHT.
I THINK OUR OCTOPUS LEGS ARE
READY TO GO.
SHOULD WE MAKE THEIR HEADS?

The long haired child says, YEAH!

Hugo says, OH, YEAH.

Mandisa says, OKAY.
I HAVE SOME COLOURFUL TISSUE
PAPER HERE.

Mandisa places blue and purple tissue paper on the table.

She says, YOU CAN GRAB ONE SHEET OF
PURPLE.
YOU'VE GOT THE WHOLE SHEET.

The long haired child grabs a sheet of purple tissue paper.

Mandisa says, WE'RE GOING TO OPEN IT UP AND
THEN WE'RE GOING TO...

The short haired child says, I OPENED
MINE UP.

Mandisa says, GOOD AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO
SCRUNCH IT TOGETHER
TO MAKE IT INTO A BIG
BALL LIKE THIS.

Mandisa demonstrates scrunching her piece of purple tissue paper together into a ball.

She says, CAN YOU SCRUNCH IT, SCRUNCH IT,
SCRUNCH IT,
TO MAKE A BIG BALL IN
YOUR HANDS.

The children scrunch their pieces of tissue paper into balls.

Mandisa says, THIS IS GOING TO BE OUR
OCTOPUS HEAD.

The long haired child squeezes glue onto the centre of her stack of craft sticks.

Mandisa says, YOU CAN PUT A LITTLE BIT MORE
COLETTE.

Colette, the long haired child, moves her bottle of glue.

Mandisa says, THEN YEAH, GOOD JOB.

Mandisa helps Colette glue her ball of purple tissue paper onto her craft sticks.

Mandisa says, NICE.
OK, NOW WE GET TO ADD OUR...

Mandisa points to her eyes.

She says, …GOOGLY EYES!

Colette says, YEAH, I HAVE
BIG ONES.

Mandisa says, SO YOU CAN PUT A DAB OF GLUE
ON THE BACK OF YOUR GOOGLY EYES.

Colette glues a large googly eye to ball of scrunched up tissue paper while Mandisa helps Hugo.

She says, LOOK AT THIS.

The children add the googly eyes to their octopus crafts.

Mandisa says, GOOD JOB.
I LOVE HOW THESE OCTOPUSES ARE
LOOKING,
BUT WE'RE MISSING ONE
MORE THING.

Colette says, BEADS!

Mandisa says, THAT'S RIGHT, THE BEADS.
THESE ARE GOING TO BE THE
OCTOPUS' SUCKERS.

Mandisa puts bowls of pony beads on the table. Colette grabs a bowl.

She says, I NEED THIS ONE.

Mandisa says, GOOD.
AND A SMALL DAB RIGHT HERE.

Mandisa points to one of Hugo’s craft sticks.

Mandisa says, A NICE ORANGE SUCKER ON YOUR
OCTOPUS.

Hugo glues a pony bead to one of his craft sticks. Colette holds two pony beads over her eyes.

She says, I HAVE BEAD EYES.

Mandisa says, YOU HAVE BEAD EYES!

She laughs.

Mandisa says, SO CUTE.

The children add more pony beads to their crafts.

Colette says, I'M ALL DONE
MINE.

Mandisa says, YOU'RE ALL DONE,
THESE OCTOPUSES ARE LOOKING SO
AWESOME!
LET'S HAVE A LOOK AT THEM.

Mandisa and the children play with their octopuses.

Colette says, I'M FLYING.

Mandisa says, WE'RE FLYING OCTOPUSES.

Colette says, I CAN MAKE IT FLYING.
IN THE WATER.
I'M GOING TO
