An airplane flies past the smiling sun. An owl wears a red, yellow, and black sweater. Mandisa Watts, a dark-haired woman, waves as she stands under a tree in a park. She wears a peach-coloured shirt under her blue denim overalls. A floral patterned scarf is tied around her head and pink earrings dandle to her shoulders.

A ladybug lands on a purple flower in front of Mandisa. A school bus travels down a road while a green dinosaur climbs on a bench and a penguin dances in a field.

A puppet fox and a cardboard robot jump into Mandisa’s hands while a giraffe leaps out from behind a bush.

The title reads, “Curious Crafting”.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple crayons streak across the screen.

Mandisa rests her hands on a round green table in a colourful craft room. Behind her, a purple wall features a pink flamingo with a very long neck. Crafts, markers, and crafting tools are displayed on shelves on the other walls.

To Mandisa’s right, a boy with curly red hair leans on the table. He wears a blue sweater and grey pants. On Mandisa’s left side, a girl with long dark hair watches her closely. The girl wears a pink sweater and red pants.

Mandisa asks,
HAVE YOU KIDS EVER SEEN A
DRAGON BEFORE?

The girl with long dark hair answers,
YEAH

The boy with curly red hair answers,
NO.

Mandisa asks,
WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE ONE?

The girl with long dark hair says,
YEAH.

Mandisa picks up a green dragon made of a cardboard tube, colourful paper, and pompoms. Animated smoke puffs out of its nose.

Mandisa says,
THIS DRAGON BREATHES A
RAINBOW FIRE.

The girl with long dark hair reaches for the dragon. The boy with curly red hair holds up his hands and smiles.

The girl with long dark hair replies,
OOOOHHH!

Mandisa asks,
WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE
A RAINBOW BREATHING DRAGON?

The kids answer, YEAH.

Mandisa says,
OK, LET'S GO GET OUR CRAFT
SUPPLIES.

The kids pick up craft supplies as they run around the room. They rush back to the table.

Mandisa says,
WE'RE GOING TO NEED GREEN
CONSTRUCTION PAPER,
TAPE, CARDBOARD TUBES,
GLUE, TISSUE PAPER.
AND DON'T FORGET GOOGLY EYES AND
POM POMS.

Mandisa sits with the kids at the table.

She asks,
WHAT CAN WE USE TO MAKE OUR
DRAGON'S HEAD?

The girl with long dark hair looks around the table. The boy with curly red hair picks up a cardboard tube.

A green crayon makes a check mark.

Mandisa says,
THAT'S RIGHT, OUR TOILET
PAPER ROLLS.
WE'RE GOING TO USE OUR
GLUE STICKS
TO GLUE ON OUR
CONSTRUCTION PAPER.
PUT SOME GLUE ALL OVER YOUR
CONSTRUCTION PAPER.
LOTS OF GLUE ALL OVER SO YOU
WANT IT TO STICK.
OKAY AND NOW WE'RE
GOING TO ROLL.

Mandisa helps the boy with curly red hair cover his cardboard tube with green construction paper.

She says,
GOOD...AND THERE.
NEXT, WE'RE GOING TO GIVE OUR
DRAGONS SOME...

The girl with long dark hair shouts,
EYES!

Mandisa replies,
YES, I'VE GOT SOME GREEN
POM POMS
AND BIG GREEN POM POMS AND
GOOGLY EYES.
GOOD JOB.

The boy with curly red hair glues googly eyes to green pompoms while the girl with long dark hair glues the pompoms to the cardboard tube.

Googly eyes look at both of the kid’s dragons.

Mandisa says,
NOW WE CAN PUT OUR DRAGON EYES
ON OUR DRAGON HEADS.
GOOD, THOSE ARE GOING TO BE FOR
YOUR DRAGON'S NOSTRILS,
AND THESE CAN BE FOR OUR
DRAGON'S EYES.

The boy with curly red hair glues his dragon eyes on the cardboard tube. Mandisa helps him. The girl with long dark hair glues her’s on her own.

Mandisa says,
WE'LL PUT ONE RIGHT THERE, AND
ONE THERE, GOOD.
OK AND THEN CAN YOU STICK TO TWO
DRAGON NOSTRILS
AT THE END AND THEN GLUE THERE?

The kids glue smaller pom poms to the other end of the cardboard tube.

The girl with long dark hair says,
I DID IT MANDISA.

Mandisa replies,
GOOD JOB COLLETTE.
WE'RE GOING TO MAKE OUR RAINBOW
FIRE PART OF OUR DRAGON.
FOR YOU, TRISTAN, DOUBLE
SIDED TAPE.

Tristan, the boy with curly red hair, touches the tape.

He says,
OH, IT'S STICKY.

Mandisa replies,
IT'S STICKY, YES.
HERE IS OUR TISSUE PAPER.

A paintbrush with red paint makes a circle around a bowl filled with colourful tissue paper.

I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU ALL THE
COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR
COLLETTE?

Collette, the girl with long dark hair, replies,
RAINBOW.

Mandisa replies,
RAINBOW, YOU LOVE ALL THE
COLOURS.

Collette answers, YEAH.

Mandisa asks,
AND WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE
COLOUR, TRISTAN?

Tristan answers, RED.

Mandisa says,
RED.
START WITH YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR
AND YOU'RE GOING TO STICK IT ON
TO THE STICKY TAPE RIGHT THERE.

Collette and Tristan tape colourful strands of tissue paper together.

Mandisa says,
AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO STICK
THIS ON TO OUR...
DRAGON.

She picks up Tristan’s strands of tissue paper and tapes them inside the cardboard roll.

She says,
WE'LL STICK THAT INSIDE OUR
DRAGON'S MOUTH.
AND THEN CAN YOU STICK THAT
INSIDE OF YOUR DRAGON'S MOUTH?

Tristan waves his dragon in the air. Mandisa helps Collette tape her strands of tissue paper.

Mandisa says,
RIGHT IN THERE.
THERE YOU GO.
WHOO HOO!
GOOD JOB!
OK, LET'S HOLD THEM UP.

Collette waves her dragon in the air. Tristan blows on the strands of tissue paper.

Mandisa asks,
SHOULD WE ROAR LIKE DRAGONS NOW?

Collette replies, YEAH, WOOOOOHHHH!

Tristan replies, RAAAARRRRRRR!

Mandisa says, RAAAARRRRRRRR!

The dinosaur, the penguin, the robot, the fox, the giraffe, and the owl smile in the park. The school bus travels down the road.
