An airplane flies past the smiling sun. An owl wears a red, yellow, and black scarf. Mandisa Watts, a dark-haired woman, waves as she stands under a tree in a park. She wears a peach-coloured shirt over her blue denim overalls. A floral patterned scarf is tied around her head and pink earrings dandle to her shoulders.

A ladybug lands on a purple flower in front of Mandisa. A school bus travels down a road while a green dinosaur climbs on a bench and a penguin dances in a field.

A puppet fox and a cardboard robot jump into Mandisa’s hands while a giraffe leaps out from behind a bush.

The title reads, “Curious Crafting”.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple crayons streak across the screen.

Mandisa rests her hands on a round green table in a colourful craft room. Behind her, a purple wall features a pink flamingo with a very long neck. Crafts, markers, and crafting tools are displayed on shelves on the other walls.

To Mandisa’s left, a boy with short dark hair sits on the edge of his chair. He wears a dark green sweater and bright green pants. On Mandisa’s right side, a girl with long dark hair watches her closely. The girl wears a grey sweater and black pants.

Mandisa asks,
HAVE YOU GUYS EVER BEEN
TO A FARM?

The boy with short dark hair answers,
YEAH, I NEVER BEEN
TO A FARM.

Mandisa replies,
WELL, I HAVE A FARM RIGHT HERE
ON MY FINGERS.

She holds up a pig and cow made out of construction paper. Her fingers slide through two small holes at the bottom. The boy with short dark hair touches the cow.

Mandisa says,
THESE ARE MY FARM FRIENDS.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE SOME
FINGER PUPPET FARM FRIENDS?

The boy with short dark hair answers,
YEAH, I WANT TO MAKE
A COW FRIEND.

The girl with long dark hair says,
I WANT TO MAKE A PIGGY
AND A COW.

Mandisa says,
AWESOME.
LET'S GO GRAB OUR CRAFT
SUPPLIES.

The kids pick up craft supplies as they run around the room. They rush back to the table.

Mandisa says,
WE'RE GOING TO NEED PINK
CONSTRUCTION PAPER,
GOOGLY EYES,
WHITE AND BLACK CONSTRUCTION
PAPER,
A LARGE SINGLE-HOLE PUNCH,
GLUE STICKS.
AND DON'T FORGET A MARKER.

Mandisa sits with the kids at the craft table. She holds two round pieces of pink construction paper.

She says,
SO FIRST FOR OUR PIG BODY,
WE NEED A BIG CIRCLE.
WE NEED A BIG PINK ONE.
AND THEN FOR OUR PIG HEAD,
WE NEED A LITTLE CIRCLE.
CAN YOU GLUE THE LITTLE CIRCLE
TO THE BIG CIRCLE?

The kids use glue sticks.

Mandisa says,
THEN WE'RE GOING TO GLUE
OUR NOSE.
MCKENNA YOU CAN PUT SOME GLUE
RIGHT THERE FOR YOUR NOSE.
LET'S GIVE OUR PIGS SOME EYES.

McKenna, the girl with long dark hair, replies,
EYEBALLS.

The boy with short dark hair reaches into a yellow bowl across the table.

He says,
I WANT TO CHOOSE
THE BIG EYE.

The kids put googly eyes on their pigs.

Mandisa says,
GOOD JOB!
McKenna asks, CAN I PUT A SMILE?

Mandisa answers,
YOU CAN PUT A SMILE ON YOURS.
YES.

The boy with short dark hair says,
I'D LIKE A HAPPY FACE.

Mandisa replies,
OK, GOOD, WHAT ARE OUR PIGS
MISSING?

McKenna taps the top of her head.

She says, EARS.

Mandisa says,
OK, SO WE'RE GOING TO TURN OUR
PIGS OVER
AND YOU'RE GOING TO
GET SOME GLUE
ON THE TOP OF YOUR PIG'S HEAD
RIGHT AROUND HERE.

The kids glue little pink ears to their pigs.

McKenna says,
MY FACE IS LOOKING GOOD.

Purple scissors cut through green paper.

Mandisa asks,
ARE YOU READY TO MAKE YOUR COW?

The boy with short dark hair answers,
YEAH, I...I LOVE IT.

Mandisa says,
SO WE NEED ONE BIG CIRCLE FOR
OUR COW BODY.
GLUE OUR COW HEAD TO
OUR COW BODY.
OK, SO WE WANT TO STICK YOUR COW
SPOTS ON.

The kids stick small black pieces of paper onto the cow’s white body.

Mandisa says,
GOOD JOB NOW WE'RE GOING TO GIVE
OUR COW SOME...

The boy with short dark hair replies,
HORNS.

Mandisa says,
THAT'S RIGHT ARJAY.

McKenna asks,
WHERE DO THE HORNS GO?

Mandisa answers,
JUST IN BETWEEN YOUR EARS,
THAT'S A GREAT QUESTION.
NOW IT'S TIME TO GLUE
ON OUR EYES.

McKenna reaches into a bowl filled with googly eyes. She places two of them on her cow.

Mandisa asks,
ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE YOUR COW
SMILING?

A set of googly eyes looks at the kid’s crafts.

Arjay, the boy with short dark hair, answers,
I WILL MAKE IT
REALLY HAPPY.

Mandisa replies,
REALLY HAPPY.
ARE YOU GUYS EXCITED TO
TURN YOUR ANIMALS INTO PUPPETS?

McKenna answers, YEAH.

Mandisa says,
OK.
WE ARE GOING TO USE
OUR CIRCLE PUNCH.

Arjay picks up a circle punch and makes holes in his cow.

He says, I'LL DO IT.

Mandisa replies,
YOU'LL DO IT.
OK, SO WE'LL PUT OUR COW
IN LIKE THAT.
REALLY HARD.
GOOD JOB.
PRESS.

Arjay punches another hole in his cow. Mandisa helps McKenna punch holes into her pig.

Mandisa says,
PERFECT PRESS DOWN, GOOD, AND UP.
AND I'M GOING TO PUT OUR PIG
LIKE THAT.
I'M GOING TO PRESS DOWN
FOUR TIMES.
GOOD, PRESS.
GOOD JOB.
ALL RIGHT.
DO YOU WANT TO TRY PUTTING
YOUR FINGERS IN
TO MAKE IT INTO A FINGER PUPPET?
THEN OUR FARM ANIMALS CAN
PLAY TOGETHER.

Mandisa, McKenna, and Arjay all wear their pig and cow puppets on their fingers.

Mandisa asks,
CAN WE ALL BE FRIENDS?

McKenna replies,
THEY'RE ALREADY FRIENDS.

(Laughs)

The dinosaur, the penguin, the robot, the fox, the giraffe, and the owl smile in the park. The school bus travels down the road.
