A title reads: Curious Crafting

Mandisa sits in a dimmed playroom at a table with two children. Shining twinkle lights hang above the table.

Mandisa asks, AREN'T THOSE TWINKLE LIGHTS NICE?

The room is brighter.

Mandisa asks, DO YOU KNOW WHAT TINY LITTLE INSECT THOSE TWINKLE LIGHTS REMIND ME OF?

A child with brown hair in two ponytails wears a pink shirt.

The brown-haired child says, FIREFLY.

The other child has black hair in two braids and wears a white patterned shirt.

The black-haired child says, FIREFLY.

Mandisa says, YES. WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE A FIREFLY CRAFT OF YOUR OWN?

Mandisa narrates, WRAP CRATE PAPER AROUND THE BOTTLE. CUT OUT WINGS FROM CONSTRUCTION PAPER AND DECORATE THEM USING FOAM SHAPES.

Mandisa sticks small foam shapes on oval shaped pieces of construction paper.

Mandisa narrates, ATTACH THE WINGS TO THE CRATE PAPER USING DOUBLE SIDED TAPE. TAKE A PIPE CLEANER AND WRAP IT AROUND THE NECK AND CURL IT WITH YOUR FINGERS FOR ANTENNAE. ADD GOOGLY EYES TO THE BOTTLE CAP AND DRAW ON A SMILE. INSERT TWO GLOW STICKS AND NOW YOUR FIREFLY IS READY TO GLOW.

Mandisa puts glow sticks into the bottle and puts the cap on the bottle.

The children and Mandisa hold finished crafts.

Mandisa asks, SHOULD WE SEE IF OUR FIREFLIES CAN GLOW IN THE DARK?

The black-haired child says, YEAH.

Mandisa says, OKAY.
