(Music playing)

Animated versions of the sun and the planets spin and smile.

Singing, TO THE MOON AND BACK.

Little Malabar says, HA-HA!

Singing, I JUMP ON EVERY PLANET AND EVERY STAR. C'MON, LET'S GO FAR EXPLORE THE WHOLE UNIVERSE, LITTLE MALABAR.

A title reads: Little Malabar. Directed by Patrick Volve.

Text reads: Clouds in Space. Written by Patrick Volve and Jean Duprat. Storyboard by Franck Guillou.

A narrator says, CLOUDS IN SPACE.

A volcano on a tiny island hiccups out a puff of smoke.

(Hiccupping)

Little Malabar has blonde hair and holds a paddle.

Little Malabar says, TODAY, WE ARE VISITING THAT VOLCANIC ISLAND.

(Chittering)

Little Malabar says, HEY THERE, CHINCHILLAS! DO YOU WANT TO VISIT THE VOLCANIC ISLAND, TOO?

Two chinchillas jump up and down.

(Chittering)

Little Malabar stands on a paddleboard, with the two chinchillas in front. He paddles toward the island. They land on the sandy beach around the volcano.

(Hiccupping)

A cloud puffs out of the volcano and sinks over the island.

Little Malabar says, AW, YUCK! WHAT'S THIS SMELLY DUST CLOUD?

The volcano says, OOPS! SORRY, I HAD A LITTLE ERUPTION.

(Chittering)

The chinchillas roll in the dust.

Little Malabar asks, HEY, WHAT ARE YOU UP TO ?

The volcano says, YOU SEE, CHINCHILLAS LOVE ROLLING IN VOLCANO DUST. THAT'S HOW CHINCHILLAS CLEAN THEIR FUR.

(Giggling)

(Sun chuckling)

The Sun says, HEY, CHINCHILLAS ! DID YOU KNOW THAT OUT IN SPACE, THERE ARE HUGE AREAS FILLED WITH DUST? I'M SURE THAT YOU'LL LOVE ROLLING IN THAT!

Little Malabar says, THANKS, SUN! ME TOO, I REALLY WANT TO SEE THAT. LET'S GO! VOLCANO, CAN YOU SEND US UP INTO SPACE ?

The volcano says, WITH PLEASURE! I WAS JUST ABOUT TO HAVE A REALLY BIG ERUPTION!

Little Malabar and the chinchillas jump into the volcano. Little Malabar carries the board and paddle.

Little Malabar says, WOOHOO! WE'RE FLYING REALLY FAST!

Little Malabar cling to the board. They fly into outer space.

Little Malabar says, WOW, SO MANY STARS. STRANGE, THERE ARE PLACES WITH NO STARS. THEY LOOK LIKE BIG DARK SPOTS.

(Chittering)

Little Malabar says, I DON'T EITHER. I DON'T SEE ANY DUST. THERE'S NOTHING HERE!

A voice says, ARE YOU LOOKING FOR DUST?

Little Malabar asks, HEY, WHO SAID THAT?

Voices say, WE DID! LOOK HERE, IN YOUR HAND! YOU SEE US?

Little Malabar holds out his hand. A green speck of a dust and a brown speck float to his hand.

The green dust says, WE ARE TWO TINY GRAINS OF DUST FROM A STAR. MY NAME IS SILICATE GRAIN, AND THAT'S MY BEST FRIEND. CARBON GRAIN.

Little Malabar says, NICE TO MEET YOU. I'M LITTLE MALABAR, AND THESE ARE THE CHINCHILLAS. WHERE ARE YOU GRAINS GOING?

Carbon Grain says, WE'RE GOING TO FIND OUR FRIENDS THAT ARE IN THE DARK SPOTS OVER THERE.

Little Malabar asks, OVER THERE WHERE IT'S EMPTY?

Silicate Grain says, IT'S NOT EMPTY AT ALL, JUST THE OPPOSITE. THOSE CLOUDS ARE FILLED WITH STAR DUST. AND THE STARS ARE HIDDEN BEHIND THEM. DO YOU WANT TO COME WITH US?

(Chittering)

Little Malabar says, OH YES! THE CHINCHILLAS WOULD LOVE TO GO OVER THERE.

The Grains say, OKAY, LET'S GO!

The Grains float slowly.

Little Malabar says, UM... YOU GRAINS OF DUST MOVE REAL SLOW. COME WITH ME, WE'LL TAKE YOU THERE.

(Music playing)

(Chittering)

Little Malabar paddles the board through space toward multi-coloured clouds.

Little Malabar says, WOW! THOSE CLOUDS ARE MAGNIFICENT. HERE WE ARE, WE'VE ARRIVED!

The Grains say, YIPPEE!

(Chittering)

The chinchillas jump into a cloud.

Little Malabar says, HEY, WAIT FOR ME!

Little Malabar floats through a cloud.

(Shivering)

Little Malabar says, IT'S REALLY COLD HERE!

The Grains float over to join thousands of other grains of dust.

All say, HEY! WELCOME TO THE ICE CLOUD, ALL MADE OF STAR DUST.

(Chittering)

The chinchillas roll in dust. Little Malabar turns somersaults.

Little Malabar says, WOOHOO! WE'RE DOING SOMERSAULTS IN THE CLOUDS!

(Shivering)

Little Malabar says, IT'S SUPER DUPER COLD IN THESE CLOUDS, THOUGH. ESPECIALLY WITH JUST A T-SHIRT ON!

(Chittering)

The chinchillas snuggle with Little Malabar.

Little Malabar says, AH, MUCH BETTER !

(Sneezing)

The chinchillas sneeze. Little Malabar and the chinchillas jump on the board.

Little Malabar says, WHOA! IT'S SUPER COLD IN THOSE DUST CLOUDS!

(Sneezing)

Little Malabar says, GOODBYE, LITTLE GRAINS OF STAR DUST ! WE'RE GOING HOME TO GET WARM !

The grains of dust call, GOODBYE ! HAVE A SAFE TRIP, LITTLE MALABAR!

(Sneezing)

(Music playing)

Little Malabar stands on the volcano.

The Sun asks, LITTLE MALABAR, DID YOU ENJOY VISITING THE DUST CLOUDS IN SPACE?

Little Malabar says, IT WAS VERY PRETTY, BUT ALSO VERY COLD. I THINK I'D LIKE TO TAKE A NICE WARM BATH OF STARDUST!

(Giggling)

Little Malabar slides down the volcano on the board. The chinchillas roll after him.

(Chittering)

(Music playing)

A narrator says, IN THE IMMENSE EMPTINESS BETWEEN THE STARS, THERE ARE AREAS OF DUST AND GAS THAT FORM ENORMOUS CLOUDS. THESE CLOUDS ARE THE COLDEST PLACES IN OUR ENTIRE GALAXY.
