[Bamboo Love playing the recorder]

A narrator says, HI BAMBOO LOVE.

WOULD YOU LOVE TO TRY TODAY?

Text reads, Created By Tero Hollo. Bamboo Love waves. Bamboo Love looks thoughtful. A heart reveals the word, Violin.

The narrator says, VIOLIN!

[Soft music plays]

[Bamboo Love giggling]

Bamboo love rolls around on the ground toward a black instrument case.

Bamboo Love says, UH?

The narrator says, HMM, WHAT COULD THAT
STRANGE OBJECT BE?

Bamboo Love opens the case, pulls out a string instrument, then closes the case.

Bamboo Love says, OH.

Bamboo Love nods.

Bamboo Love says, A ITAAR?

[Narrator laughing]

The narrator says, IT DOES LOOK LIKE A GUITAR,
BUT IT LOOKS TO BE SOMETHING
DIFFERENT.

Bamboo Love holds the instrument like a guitar and strums the four strings. The instrument does not sound like a guitar. Bamboo Love scratches their head thoughtfully.

The narrator says, HMM.
THAT IS CERTAINLY NOT A GUITAR.
I WONDER WHAT IT COULD BE.

Two birds fly over to Bamboo Love with a bow stick. They pull the stick across the strings on the instrument.

[High pitched strumming]

The narrator says, WELL, HELLO, BIRDS.

Bamboo Love waves to the birds.

Bamboo Love says, HMM.

The narrator says, BAMBOO LOVE,
DO YOU KNOW WHAT SOUND
THIS INSTRUMENT MAKES?

Bamboo Love says, VEEEIIIOOO-LEEYYYN!
VEEEIIIOOO-LEEYYYN!

[Narrator laughing]

The narrator says, THAT'S RIGHT!
THE MYSTERIOUS INSTRUMENT
IS CALLED A VIOLIN.

The birds bring the bow stick to Bamboo Love.

Bamboo Love says, OH.

The birds stands on the instrument case as Bamboo Love tries to play the violin.

[Scratchy violin sounds]

The birds cover their ears.

The narrator says, OH, MY.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN HOW
PLAY THE VIOLIN BAMBOO LOVE?

Bamboo Love nods.

Bamboo Love says, MM-HMM.

Penguin slides past Bamboo Love with a tablet.

[Penguin honking]

Penguin slides up beside Bamboo Love.

The narrator says, WELL HELLO PENGUIN!
WILL YOU HELP SHOW BAMBOO LOVE
HOW TO PLAY THE VIOLIN?

Penguin takes a picture of the violin with the tablet.

[Camera flashing]

[Penguin honking]

Penguin nods, and shows the violin on the tablet.

The narrator says, THE VIOLIN CONTAINS
AN HOURGLASS BODY, A CHIN REST,
AND A NECK WITH STRINGS.
THE VIOLIN IS PLAYED
WITH A BOW STICK, MADE OF HAIR.

Bamboo Love is shown holding the violin and bow stick.

The narrator says, THE INSTRUMENT RESTS
UNDER THE CHIN
AND IS HELD AWAY FROM YOUR BODY.
ONE HAND MOVES THE BOW ACROSS
THE LOWER PART OF THE STRINGS.
THE OTHER HAND
PRESSES DOWN THE HIGHER
PART OF THE STRINGS TO MAKE
DIFFERENT SOUNDING NOTES.

Bamboo Love is shown correctly playing the violin.

The narrator says, THANK YOU FOR THAT INTERESTING
VIOLIN LESSON PENGUIN.

Bamboo love nods.

[Penguin honking]

Penguin leaves with the tablet.

The narrator says, SO, BAMBOO LOVE,
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY PLAYING
THE VIOLIN?

Bamboo Love nods.

Bamboo Love says, UH-HUH.

Bamboo Love holds the violin upside down.

[Birds chirping]

Bamboo Love frowns.

[Birds chirping]

The narrator says, LET'S SEE, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN
SOMETHING?

Bamboo Love says, HMM.

Bamboo Love looks thoughtful, then shrugs.

Bamboo Love says, UH-HUH.

The narrator says, MAYBE YOUR FRIENDS CAN HELP!

Together, the birds lift and turn the violin so that Bamboo Love is holding the instrument the right way.

Bamboo Love says, OH.
ANK-OOH!

The birds return to their spot on the violin case.

The narrator asks, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY IT AGAIN?

Bamboo Love says, MM-HMM!

Bamboo Love moves the bow across the lower part of the violin strings and smiles.

The narrator says, CONGRATULATIONS, BAMBOO LOVE!
THAT WAS A GREAT SOUND.
THE ONLY THING LEFT TO DO,
IS PRESS DOWN ON THE STRINGS
WITH THE LEFT HAND
TO MAKE DIFFERENT
SOUNDING NOTES.

Bamboo Love smiles and nods.

Bamboo Love says, HMM.

Bamboo Love presses down on the higher parts of the string on the neck of the violin while moving the bow across the lower part of the strings.

[Bamboo Love playing the violin]

The narrator says, WHAT BEAUTIFUL MUSIC
YOU’RE PLAYING!

Bamboo Love says, MMM.

The birds sway side to side as they watch Bamboo Love.

[Bamboo Love playing the violin]

Bamboo Love looks happy.

[Cheerful music plays]

The narrator says, TODAY WE LEARNED ABOUT
THE VIOLIN.
BAMBOO LOVE LEARNED
THAT THE VIOLIN
IS A STRING INSTRUMENT
SIMILAR TO A GUITAR.
AND THE VIOLIN REQUIRES A BOW
STICK TO BE PLAYED UP AND DOWN
IN ORDER
TO MAKE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC.
