Serena and Emma jump up and down in their kitchen. They pour nuts into a clear glass mixing bowl and then add chicken to a frying pan full of tomatoes.

The title reads, ?tvokids presents 5 Ingredients Challenge?.

Serena stands in front of the kitchen counter. She wears a colourful apron over a white long-sleeved shirt. Her long dark hair is pulled back. Chef Marlow wears a chef's jacket with a brown apron over top. He has medium-length brown hair and a neatly trimmed beard.

Serena says, ON TODAY'S
FIVE INGREDIENTS CHALLENGE,
CHEF MARLOW IS GOING TO DO...

Marlow says, MAGIC!

Serena says, COOL!
WAIT... REALLY?

Marlow says, YES!
WELL, CULINARY MAGIC.

Serena says, OK!
NOW, IT'S TIME
FOR CHEF MARLOW'S
SMART COOKIE...

Marlow says, KITCHEN HACKS!

Serena says, HACK NUMBER ONE!
EASY PEASY, LEMON
SQUEEZY.

Marlow says, MICROWAVE YOUR LEMON
FOR JUST A FEW SECONDS.
ROLL YOUR LEMON
WITH YOUR HANDS BACK AND FORTH.

Serena presses down as she rolls the lemon on the counter top.

Serena says, THIS MAKES CITRUS FRUITS
EXTRA JUICY.
AND PEELING
SUPER EASY.

Serena uses a lemon press to juice a lemon. She microwaves an orange, rolls it and easily peels it.

(SOFT MUSIC)

Serena says,
HACK NUMBER TWO.
THE EGG FRESHNESS TEST.

Marlow says, PLACE A RAW EGG
IN A BOWL OF COLD WATER.
IF IT SINKS
AND LAYS ON ITS SIDE,
IT'S SUPER FRESH.

They put an egg in a glass bowl of water and it sinks. Marlow pulls it out.

Marlow says, WE'LL KEEP THAT ONE, THEN.
IF IT STANDS UP RIGHT,
IT'S LESS FRESH
BUT STILL GOOD TO EAT.
IF THE EGG FLOATS,
THROW IT OUT.
I THINK WE BETTER COMPOST IT.

Serena says, YUP!

Marlow tosses the whole egg in the compost bin.

Serena says, HACK NUMBER THREE.
IT'S "MEGGNETIC".

Marlow says, REMOVE EGGSHELLS
FROM YOUR BOWL WITH...
MORE EGGSHELLS.

Serena cracks an egg into a glass bowl. When a piece of shell falls into the bowl, she uses half a shell to fish it out.

Serena says, HACK NUMBER FOUR.
IF IT'S SOFT, FLOSS.

Marlow says, YOU CAN USE FLOSS
TO CUT SOFT FOODS
LIKE BRIE CHEESE
OR COOKIE DOUGH.
INSTEAD OF USING A KNIFE.

Serena cuts a log of cookie dough with dental floss!

Marlow says,
I'M GOING TO TRY
WITH THE WATERMELON.
DENTAL FLOSS, PLEASE.
I'M GOING IN.

Marlow flosses the rind off a quarter of a watermelon!

Serena says, HACK NUMBER FIVE.
THESE TIME-TRAVELLING BANANAS.

Marlow says, STUCK WITH GREEN BANANAS
WHEN YOU DESPERATELY
NEED RIPE ONES FOR YOUR RECIPE?
BAKE THEM
AT 350 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT
OR 177 DEGREES CELSIUS
FOR FIVE TO SEVEN MINUTES.
THEN,
ONCE THEY'VE COOLED DOWN,
YOU'LL HAVE LOVELY
SWEET BANANAS
READY FOR YOUR RECIPES.

The green bananas turn yellow and brown in the oven. They easily peel and Serena mashes them.

Marlow says,
AND IT'S GOING TO BE
NICE AND RIPE, NOW.
THAT'S EASIER TO SQUISH.

Serena says, CHEF MARLOW,
AFTER ALL THIS KITCHEN TALK,
I'M HUNGRY.

Marlow says, HELLO HUNGRY,
NICE TO MEET YOU!
I'M MARLOW.

(SIGHS)

Serena says, MARLOW, I'M SERIOUS.

Marlow says, SERIOUS?
I THOUGHT YOU SAID
YOUR NAME WAS HUNGRY.

(LAUGHTER)
