A galloping zebra sings, ANIMANIMALS.

A yellow snake with pink dots has its tail tied in a knot.

The snake sings, ANIMANIMALS.

An elephant sings, ANIMANIMALS.

A peacock sings, ANIMANIMALS.

A pig sings, ANIMANIMALS.

It rides on the elephant with an umbrella. The animals walk in a line.

Together they sing, ANIMANIMALS.

A cloud appears to sing, ANIMANIMALS.

The singing animals stop and say, HUH?

The cloud is revealed to be a sheep.

The sheep sings, ANIMANIMALS.

All the animals sing, ANIMANIMALS.

[Elephant trumpeting]

The pig flies off the elephants trunk.

The animals sing, ANIMANIMALS.

[Soft music plays]

Title, Dormouse.

Flowers in a tree with pink leaves bloom.

[Yawning]

A grey dormouse steps out of a door in the tree and onto a branch.

The dormouse says, HMM.

The dormouse grins. They put on a green party hat.

[Party horn]

The dormouse looks excited. They hang a party banner in the tree and sweep their branch. They unroll a blanket onto the branch and take a seat. They wait patiently.

[Bear humming]

Beside the tree is a brown bears cave. In the cave, the bear stacks layers of a cake and takes out a tube of icing. In the tree, the dormouse looks excited.

[Dormouse humming]

In the cave, the bear carefully ices the top layer of the cake with orange icing.

The dormouse says, HMM!

[Dormouse yawning]

In the cave, the bear adds three candles to the cake. In the tree, the dormouse looks sleepy. Their head slowly drops as their eyes close. They snap awake.

The bear says, AH!

[Bear humming]

The bear carries the cake to the dormouse’s tree.

[Bear singing to the tune of Happy Birthday]

The dormouse is not on the branch.

The bear says, HUH?

They knock on the door but no one answers. The bear opens the door. Inside the tree, the dormouse is sleeping in their party hat.

[Bear singing to the tune of Happy Birthday]

The bear holds out the cake.

[Dormouse snoring]

The bear says, HUH?

They frown.

The bear says, HMM.

They poke the dormouse.

[A horn honks]

The bear says, HUH?

The dormouse remains asleep.

[Bear yelling inside the tree]

[Bear sighing sadly]

The bear tugs on one of the dormouse’s ears but they remain asleep. The bear blows a horn into the tree but the dormouse does not wake.

The bear sadly says, HMM.

[Dormouse snoring]

The bear takes a seat on the ground.

[Loud sighing]

The bear looks inside the tree where the dormouse is sleeping on their back.

[Loud snoring]

The bear says, HMM.

The bear looks sad. The pink leaves turn burgundy and the flowers in the tree change. The flowers on the ground disappear as time passes. The dormouse remains asleep in their tree.

[Bear sighing]

The bear says, OH?

[Dormouse snoring]

The leaves in the tree turn orange and blow away with a gust of wind. The grass on the ground disappears.

[Wind rustling]

[Bear yawning]

The dormouse continues to sleep. It snows over the now leafless tree. The bear remains in their spot on the ground while watching the dormouse’s tree.

The bear says, BRR.

[Bear yawning]

It snows on the bear as the bear’s eyes slowly close. The bear snaps awake. They struggle to stay awake. They eventually fall asleep and the snow melts.

[Bear snoring]

A drop of water lands on the bear and they wake up.

The bear says, HUH?

The leaves on the tree are pink. Flowers bloom in the tree.

The bear says, HUH?

They stand from the flower filled grass on the ground.

They say, OH.

They look at the tree.


[Dormouse yawning]

The bear says, HMM?

The bear looks thoughtful, then grins. They jump up and down. The bear looks excited. They point to the three candles on their cake.

The bear says, UH…

They reach behind them and take out a fourth candle. They add the candle to the cake. The candles burn.

[Bear giggling quietly]

The dormouse crawls out of their tree.

They say, HUH?

The dormouse smells the air and smiles. They stand on their branch. The bear waves. Both animals look excited.

[Bear singing to the tune of Happy Birthday]

The bear offers the dormouse the birthday cake. The dormouse takes a deep breath and blows out the candles.

[Bear laughing]

The bear hands the dormouse the cake.

[Dormouse laughing]

The dormouse says, AHA!

They quickly run back into their tree. They return with a knife and cut a piece of the cake.

[Bear yawning in the distance]

[Thud]

The dormouse says, HUH?

They look down from their branch at the bear who is asleep on the ground.

[Bear snoring]
