A yellow fish with yellow stiped green fins glides through bright blue water.
The fish continuously says, BLOOP, BLOOP, BLOOP,
BLOOP, BLOOP.
A brown monkey continuously says, OOH, OOH, OOH, OOH, OOH.
A galloping zebra sings, ANIMANIMALS.
A yellow snake with pink dots has its tail tied in a knot.
The snake sings, ANIMANIMALS.
An elephant sings, ANIMANIMALS.
A peacock sings, ANIMANIMALS.
A pig sings, ANIMANIMALS.
It rides on the elephant with an umbrella. The animals walk in a line.
Together they sing, ANIMANIMALS.
A cloud appears to sing, ANIMANIMALS.
The singing animals stop and say, HUH?
The cloud is revealed to be a sheep.
The sheep sings, ANIMANIMALS.
All the animals sing, ANIMANIMALS.
[Elephant trumpeting]
The pig flies off the elephant’s trunk.
The animals sing, ANIMANIMALS.
The pig lands on the title, Animanimals. By Julia Ocker.
[Pig meowing]
A title reads, Hammerhead Shark.
[Upbeat nautical music plays]
A hammerhead shark swims through dark waters. The hammerhead smiles and waves.
The hammerhead says, HIAY.
They turn to their right.
They say, HUH?
A sunken ship shakes with a heavy beat. Colourful lights flash along with the beat.
The hammerhead says, HA HA.
The hammerhead hums and sings along to the music and dances. They aggressively swing their head side to side.
[Hammerhead humming]
[Hammerhead singing]
The hammerhead swims up to the ship and tries to swim down a smokestack, but their head doesn’t fit.
[Hammerhead grunting]
The hammerhead looks annoyed. They try again until they finally wiggle through the smokestack. Inside the ship, colourful lights sparkle off a disco ball. An octopus uses a sound mixer. Four sharks that aren’t hammerheads, wear different coloured skirts. They dance on a dance floor.
[Sharks whistling]
The hammerhead waves to the other sharks. The sharks pause and look up at the hammerhead.
They say, HUH.
The sharks wave back and smile. They make room on the dance floor for the hammerhead.
[Nautical music continues]
The hammerhead dances with the other sharks, swinging their head back and forth. The hammerhead swings their head to the music with their eyes closed. They bump into the four sharks, knocking them around the room.
[Grunting]
The octopus looks worried.
The octopus says, OH, OH.
The octopus frowns. They look angry. They stop the music.
[Record scratch]
The hammerhead stops dancing.
They say, OH.
The other sharks look at the hammerhead nervously. The hammerhead frowns. The other sharks glare at the hammerhead. The hammerhead leans away from two of the sharks, but bumps into the two others. The four sharks look angry.
[Sharks grunting angrily]
The hammerhead looks scared. They frantically swim up the smokestack, but get their head stuck in the narrow tube. The hammerhead struggles to wiggle free.
[Hammerhead grunting]
The smokestack breaks off of the ship with the hammerhead stuck inside.
The hammerhead says, AH, OH.
They try and wiggle free.
[Hammerhead grunting]
[Hammerhead sighing]
The hammerhead looks disappointed.
[Nautical music plays]
The hammerhead says, AH!
They whistle along with the music.
[Hammerhead whistling]
The hammerhead dances like the other sharks. The hammerhead smiles.
[Hammerhead laughing]
The hammerhead floats back down into the sunken ship. The four sharks in skirts dance and whistle together.
[Hammerhead talking gibberish]
The sharks look up at the hammerhead angrily.
They say, HUH.
The hammerhead swims down to the dance floor.
[Sharks gasping]
The hammerhead dances in the smokestack. The sharks smile. They look excited. They look at the hammerhead. They all dance together. The octopus spins records on their mixer.
[Soft record scratching]
[Nautical music continues]
As the hammerhead happily dances with the others, a crack grows in the smokestack. The smokestack breaks into pieces, freeing the hammerhead. The hammerheads dancing continues, but turns frantic. They knock the other sharks around the room and the disco ball off the ceiling. They smash the octopus’s DJ table. The sharks and octopus escape as the sunken ship breaks into pieces. The hammerhead stops dancing.
The hammerhead says, HUH?
They look confused.
They say, UH…
The hammerhead looks at the fallen disco ball.
They sadly say, HUH.
One of the octopus’s records is broken. The hammer head looks sad. The octopus looks at a second broken record with sadness. The hammerhead looks at the other sharks, who look angry.
[Sharks grumbling angrily]
The sharks swim away from the hammerhead. The octopus glares at the hammerhead.
[Octopus grunting angrily]
The octopus swims away from the hammerhead. The hammerhead looks sad. They look at their reflection in the disco ball.
They says, HMM.
The hammerhead angerly smashes their head against the disco ball.
[Hammerhead grunting angrily]
The hammerhead repeatedly hits their head against the disco ball. They make a steady beat with the ball and their grunting. Elsewhere in the water, the other sharks look angry. The shark in the green skirt glances down.
[Banging]
They say, HM, OH.
The shark smiles.
The shark says, OH, HA!
They start dancing. The other sharks slowly join in.
[Sharks vocalizing to the beat]
The four sharks swim back down to the hammerhead.
They cheer, WHOO HOO!
The sharks clap along to the hammerhead’s beat. The hammerhead stops hitting the disco ball. They look confused.
The hammerhead says, HUH?
The other sharks stop clapping. The shark in the purple skirt waves their fins toward the hammerhead. The hammerhead points to themselves in confusion. The octopus returns and picks up the disco ball.
The hammerhead says, HUH?
[Nautical music plays]
The hammerhead grins at their reflection in the disco ball. They bang their head against the ball. The octopus puts the ball down and the hammerhead continues a beat with a smile on their face. The octopus plays a beat on a piece of the sunken ship. The four sharks dance. The shark in the green skirt plucks a string of lights like a guitar. The shark in the pink skirt bangs the broken records together like cymbals. The other sharks dance and whistle.
